Delivering dental care that contributes to generational health change
Location - Glenroy, Albury
Part time Dentist: 3 days / week (neg)
$105/hr + super + tax free salary packaging
What if your next dental role was less about how many patients you can see and more about what you can achieve with them? At Albury Wodonga Aboriginal Health Service (AWAHS) oral health is part of something bigger.
We are looking for a Dentist to join our dental team at Glenroy. We would love to hear from clinicians who are passionate about oral health and want the time and opportunity to build relationships, educate, prevent and make a genuine difference.
AWAHS is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation providing culturally appropriate primary healthcare and support to the Aboriginal community across Albury Wodonga.
Our vision is simple but important, to work alongside the Aboriginal community to create generational health change.
This is not about rushing people through the chair. It is about providing high quality dental care in an environment where people, relationships and long-term health outcomes matter.
As part of AWAHS you will work within a broader multidisciplinary health service alongside Aboriginal Health Workers, GPs, nurses and other health professionals with a strong emphasis on respectful, culturally safe and holistic care.
You do not need to have worked in Aboriginal health before. What matters is your willingness to listen, learn, build relationships and provide respectful, culturally safe care.
Depending on your profession and scope of practice your work may include clinical assessment and treatment, preventative and restorative care, oral health education and promotion, referrals and supporting clients to improve their ongoing oral health and wellbeing.
We are looking for an appropriately qualified and registered Dentist to provide quality clinical care while contributing to the broader work of the AWAHS dental service. The Dentist role is paid at $105 per hour.
You will also have an opportunity to provide professional support and leadership within the dental team and work collaboratively with Oral Health Therapists, Dental Assistants and other AWAHS staff.
Why AWAHS?- Excellent tax benefit salary packaging
- Generous appointment times
- Opportunities for professional development and training
- Excellent dental treatment rooms and equipment
- Strong Dental Assistant support and involvement with the wider clinical multidisciplinary team to support holistic health care.
Maybe you are looking for something different?
Maybe you are looking for fewer days?
Maybe you are returning to practice?
Maybe you would like to combine AWAHS with your existing private practice?
Or perhaps you are simply ready for a dental role where success is not measured by how quickly you can turn over the chair.
Whatever has you thinking about a change we would love to hear from you.

- Falls prevention, environmental assessment and strategies to support safe ageing in place.li
- Education and practical strategies for clients, families and carers.
- Coordination with nurses, physiotherapists, doctors and other health professionals.
- Accurate and timely clinical documentation, reports and progress notes.
What We Are Looking For

- Experience in community care, NDIS, rehabilitation, aged care, disability or complex care.
- Strong clinical reasoning and confidence working autonomously in clients' homes.
- Clear communication, reliable documentation and a genuinely person-centred approach.
- A current Australian driver licence, access to a suitable vehicle and capacity to travel locally for client visits.

- A diverse caseload across NDIS, rehabilitation, aged care and complex healthcare at home.
