Norwest Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Coder to join our dedicated Health Information Services team.
As a paper-based hospital, this role is based onsite at our Bella Vista campus. Working independently while collaborating with key stakeholders, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely clinical coding of inpatient episodes and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Perform accurate and timely clinical coding of inpatient episodes.
- Abstract and assign diagnostic and procedural codes in accordance with relevant standards.
- Participate in casemix analysis, education, and quality improvement activities.
- Support clinical documentation improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to coding audits and other quality assurance activities as required.

- Understanding of private hospital funding models.
- Experience using the WebPAS patient information system.
