Are you an experienced Speech Pathologist ready to take the next step into leadership while maintaining a meaningful clinical impact? Recovery Station is seeking aRegional Clinical Leader- Senior Speech Pathologistto play a pivotal role in developing our clinicians, driving clinical excellence, and supporting the continued growth of our highly regarded aged care and disability services. This is an opportunity to join alarge, multidisciplinary allied health teamwith more than20 years of experience delivering evidence-based care for clients aged 12 +across aged care, disability, community health and rehabilitation services.
The Opportunity
We are looking for aRegional Team Leadto provide localised support to our Hunter Speech Pathology & Dietetics team. You will balance maintaining your own caseload along with supporting three new Grads and circa five experienced clincians (this varies as we grow and with parental leave). As a community- based role, we predominantly see our clients either in their homes, group homes, aged care facilities or in a public setting that's relevant for them eg in a cafe to test out some new AAC. We want to see our clients where they are most comfortable whilst also giving you a diverse role full of variety and learning opportunities. Some of our team schedule a full day of seeing clients one day, then balance this with a work from home day or an office day to write reports, prepare resources, have supervision / training. Or you can mix things up depending how you like to work. A community role is great as it allows you to have genuine flexibility and control over how you structure your days and therefore you don't miss your afternoon sport or being able to drop the kids to school in the mornings / pick them up in the afternoons! Logistically, we have a waterfront office inTorontowith convenient free parking and the role can be structured asfull-timeorpart-time. Depending where you are based, we can tailor your caseload to service clients around Maitland, Newcastle or Lake Macquarie. You will have someone assigned to you in admin to assist with scheduling appointments and they will work with you to ensure you aren't zigzagging around the Hunter and you'll have clients to see close to home.
Your day to day
The caseload is people over 16yrs of age, and includes those with a range of disabilities (e.g. intellectual disability, Autism, Down Syndrome), neurological events (e.g. stroke, acquired brain injury, brain tumour), and degenerative disease (e.g. Parkinson's Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Huntington's Disease, dementia). You will have the opportunity to provide assessment, therapy and management to clients with a range of speech pathology diagnosis including: non-verbal, dysphagia, dyspraxia, aphasia, pragmatics, voice clients. Within this role you will have the fantastic opportunity to work primarily in client's homes, group homes and where appropriate in our clinics. You will be working within a motivated team that embraces therapy that is person-centred, goal based and uses the latest evidence based methods. Qualifications & Experience
- Approved qualification in Speech Pathology and SPA registration
- Current driver's license with use of own vehicle
- NDIS Workers Screening and WWCC
- Prior experience managing or supervising a team
Who Your Work Helps
Your caseload will consist of people over 16yrs of age, who may have a range of disabilities (e.g. intellectual disability, Autism, Down Syndrome), neurological events (e.g. stroke, acquired brain injury, brain tumour), and/or a degenerative disease (e.g. Parkinson's Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Huntington's Disease, dementia). You will service individuals with complex needs in the community and within group homes (including speech, language and swallowing assessments and therapy, mealtime management plans). You will have the opportunity to provide assessment, therapy and management to clients with a range of speech pathology diagnosis including: non-verbal, dysphagia, dyspraxia, aphasia, pragmatics, voice clients. The skills you will develop and demonstrate in the role:
- A high level of professional judgement and knowledge to provide a wide range of speech and language supports to adolescent and adults with a variety of needsAssess the communication and mealtime management abilities of the client utilising a range of assessment techniques and toolsDesign intervention plans that are holistic, client-centric and outcomes drivenProvide support and assist clients, carers and families with the implementation of intervention plans and programs
With our training and support you will become confident in developing care plans and writing comprehensive reports based on your advanced clinical understanding, application of various clinical assessments and implementation of appropriate interventions to address prioritised needs.

- Your one on ones will be complemented with team meetings with your fellow Speechies and Dietitians so you can learn and present during in-services sessions, share ideas, resources and stay abreast of any industry updates.

- Formal and informal liaison opportunities with other members ofour MDT to broaden your clinical knowledge and provide holistic care to our clients.

Reporting to the Revenue Manager, this role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the accurate, compliant and timely billing of private patient accounts and management of health fund receivables across the Private Division.
As a Revenue Officer, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting health fund claims, managing aged debt, reconciling payments, resolving billing enquiries and ensuring compliance with Health Fund contractual requirements and Medicare rules.
You will work closely with Health Funds, Patient Administration Services, Theatre Staff, Clinical teams and broader revenue stakeholders to ensure billing accuracy and support continuous improvement across revenue processes.

Your Key Responsibilities
As the Revenue Officer, you will:
- Produce accurate and timely patient accounts in accordance with Health Fund contract business rules and Medicare requirements.

- Accurately enter MBS item numbers and prostheses rebate codes.
