The opportunity
You'll lead regional operations, build high-performing teams and strengthen Defence stakeholder relationships. Achieve sustainable outcomes for our military members.
- Lead, manage and report on regional service delivery operations to ensure contractual KPIs, service standards, and compliance requirements are achieved.
- Promote a strong culture of clinical governance, safety, and continuous quality improvement, ensuring relevant standards and regulatory requirements are met.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with ADF representatives (ie Commanding Officers, Health Centre Managers, Regional Rehab Managers). Act as the escalation point for complex customer or stakeholder issues.
- Lead, coach, and develop teams to achieve operational and strategic goals. Support workforce planning, recruitment, retention, and capability development initiatives. Foster a culture that promotes employee wellbeing, engagement, professional development, and workplace safety.
- Manage regional P&L performance, revenue, margin, and EBITDA outcomes ensuring commercial outcomes balance service quality outcomes.
- Represent Acumen Health at customer meetings, contract reviews, and industry forums.
About You
You are a strategic and influential leader who thrives in complex stakeholder environments and enjoys building capable, engaged teams.
To be successful, you'll bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, or another relevant Allied Health discipline with current professional registration
- Minimum 5 years' experience within occupational rehabilitation, injury management or similar
- Strong operational leadership and people management experience, with exceptional communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills
- Demonstrated success managing customers with a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for Defence personnel and veterans.
- Experience managing budgets, commercial outcomes, or financial performance metrics.

Working as part of a team across the region of Fitzroy QLD, you will enjoy autonomy in carrying out your work, traveling to aged care homes to conduct Residential Aged Care Funding Assessments using the AN-ACC tool.
This will be a perm part-time arrangement working 3 days per week.
While direct care isn't part of the day-to-day work, you will use your expert clinical skills and knowledge to conduct interviews with residents and staff and review health records to inform the AN-ACC assessment. The assessments are based on the triangulation of data, using desktop review of existing documentation, observations and conversations with Residents and care providers. The focus of the assessments is to gather information for classifications that will determine funding levels.
This position requires locum travel across the designated region to undertake assessments and provide support to other regions if/as needed.

What you bring:
- 5+ years' post registration clinical experience across aged care sector
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
- Current unrestricted General Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated Australian aged care experience, including working with people with dementia
- Demonstrated experience conducting clinical assessments using a range of assessment tools
- Proven ability to engage older Australians and stakeholders in residential facilities
- Ability to follow direction, work independently and as part of a team
- High degree of self-motivation
- Ability to locum travel across the designated region to undertake assessments and provide support to other regions if/as needed.
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills, with a variety of stakeholders including consumers, families, and managers
- Your own vehicle with comprehensive insurance as travel will be required within your region.

What you'll do at our Toowoomba clinic:- Identify and complete assessments appropriate for each client
- Manage a discipline-specific caseload, including complex clients, using a case management approach
- Contribute to the selection and maintenance of assessment and therapy resources
- Develop, implement, evaluate, and adjust tailored therapy programs aligned to client goals
- Deliver services across clinic, home, school, and community settings as required
- Collaborate with allied health team members to achieve optimal client outcomes

Develop and implement tailored therapy programs for each client, including:
- Completing initial appointments

- Align therapy plans with available funding and funding types
- Obtain and review NDIS plans where relevant to inform therapy planning
- Provide accurate information to support correct invoicing of client-related services
- Participate in team meetings, peer reviews, and case discussions at an appropriate cadence
- Maintain accurate records in line with organisational processes and manager direction
- Utilise professional development opportunities to build role-relevant skills

We have a team of smart and dedicated psychologists, social workers and psychiatrists who are passionate about providing this care and we have an opening one full-time position. We may also be open to flexible work arrangements.
About the Role
What you will be doing:
- Meeting with consumers referred from Monash Health psychiatric triage, emergency or other services in mental health, and jointly with the consumer, come to an understanding of the issues and the consumer’s needs.
- Provide psychological treatment - make a difference to the lives of our consumers by providing timely and flexible psychological interventions
- Routinely measure the outcomes of your work and have this inform your work going forward
- Be part of a strong and supportive clinical team where we support each other to do interesting and challenging work

- This is a psychology-specific role and presents a fantastic opportunity to use and develop your psychology skills within a very supportive team
- Psychology and Specialist Services at Monash Health offers regular professional supervision, peer support, and the opportunity for career development to all of our 200+ psychologists.
- We established Australia's first Psychology Registrar and Graduate Education Program to support our early career psychologists and to support senior psychologists to maintain PsyBA supervisor status.
- Additional benefits include five weeks annual leave (pro rata), paid professional development leave and a work environment that is extremely supportive of your ongoing development as a psychologist

About You:
- You are an accomplished registered psychologist with a passion for providing high quality psychology care.
- You have at least 3 years' post-registration experience
- You are a flexible thinker with the capacity to self-manage
- You have experience delivering mental health interventions and you are competent in one of more of the following: cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), interpersonal therapy (IPT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT) or motivational interviewing (MI).
- You lead by example, thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are truly passionate about delivering a high standard of evidence-based psychological treatment to all clients
- You are in interested in a psychology specific role in public mental health
