About the opportunity
The Special Care Nursery is a 15-bed Level 4 unit, providing exceptional family-focused care to for babies born from 32 weeks gestation. We are seeking a motivated, experienced neonatal nurse to join our friendly, supportive team for a 12 month maternity leave cover contract.

- Registration with AHPRAÂ as a Registered Nurse or Midwife

- Recent experience caring for sick or premature neonatesÂ
- Post Graduate qualification in Special Care Nursery / Neonatal Intensive Care desirable
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
- A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
- Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.

About the opportunity:
We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer to support our Residential Aged Care Home and Seniors Living Units at our Aged Care precinct in Parkville. In this role, you will ensure our buildings, grounds and facilities remain safe, functional, and well‑maintained for residents, staff and visitors.
As a Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for the on‑going repairs, preventative maintenance and general upkeep of the facility. You will also assist with identifying and addressing safety concerns to support a secure and comfortable environment for everyone on site. Your work will play a key role in ensuring our ILUs and RAC facility remain safe, presentable and operational.
Carry out ground's maintenance, on‑going repairs and preventative servicing of buildings, plant, equipment and furniture
Liaise with and oversee contractors, including site access and inductions
Identify, report and implement opportunities for improvement across the facility
Assist in identifying and rectifying WHS/OH&S issues to maintain a safe environment
Maintain accurate records using computer-based maintenance systems
Contribute positively to a collaborative, resident‑focused team environment

Proficient computer skills: experience with maintenance management systems is an advantage
Good knowledge of WHS/OH&S standards and regulatory maintenance requirements for aged care and independent living
Experience managing contractors and understanding of essential systems such as HVAC, essential services, and Building 9C regulations
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
A current Police Record Check
Trade based qualification or more than 3 years’ experience in a commercial maintenance position.
Current driver’s licence.

As the Lifestyle Assistant, you'll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team and play a pivotal part in the planning and implementing of wellbeing activities for the residents of Mercy Place Mount St Joseph’s (Young).
Assist with the delivery of recreational and social programs that enhance residents’ wellbeing.
Support the Lifestyle Coordinator with program planning and orientation of new team members.
Work individually with residents in line with their lifestyle plans and document progress accurately.
Ensure programs meet residents’ needs and accreditation standards.
Engage residents in meaningful activities and encourage community involvement.
Demonstrate understanding of cognitive, social and spiritual needs of residents and their families.

About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join Mercy Hospital for Women (MHW) and provide leadership across Perioperative Services. As Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), you will oversee the operational and clinical management of the Perioperative Department, including Day Surgery, the four-theatre suite, Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU), and Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD).
This pivotal leadership role will support surgical recovery and service reform initiatives, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
The NUM will play a critical role in ensuring service delivery aligns with contemporary best practice and operates in accordance with ACORN Standards, the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards, and AS 5369:2023 standards and guidelines.
Reporting to senior leadership, the Nurse Unit Manager is accountable for the effective management of all departmental resources, including workforce, equipment, budgets, and clinical operations. The role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care while fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation.

Your opportunity
As our valued Registered Nurse at The Terraces, you will provide compassionate clinical care that enriches the health and well being of our residents.
Working a dedicated 9:30am to 5:30pm or 10 am to 6 pm middle shift.Â
You will work closely with the Care Manager and clinical team to support resident outcomes, clinical excellence and high-quality care delivery across the home.
By combining hands-on clinical care with additional support for care planning, documentation, family engagement and clinical follow-up, you will play an important role in enhancing the independence, dignity and quality of life of our residents.
With empathy and resilience, you will:
- Provide comprehensive clinical care, including medication administration according to personalised care plans
- Develop and evaluate care plans in collaboration with our multidisciplinary team
- Review high-risk residents, including residents experiencing changes in condition, recent hospital returns and new admissions
- Support clinical documentation requirements and ensure resident records are accurate, up to date and compliant
- Coordinate GP visits and follow up clinical recommendations and actions
- Build trusting, genuine relationships with residents and their families while providing emotional support and participating in family consultations
- Progress Resident of the Day reviews, care planning activities and clinical follow-up requirements
- Assist with referrals, assessments, multidisciplinary reviews and other clinical administration activities
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with aged care standards and regulations
- Lead and mentor care team members to promote best practices in aged care and ensure a safe, clean environment for all.
What you’ll bring

Your Role as a Registered Nurse
As a Registered Nurse, you will lead the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care that supports the health, wellbeing, dignity and independence of our residents. Working permanent night shifts, you will provide holistic nursing care using a biopsychosocial approach, oversee clinical outcomes, support care staff, and ensure residents receive safe, compassionate and evidence-based care aligned with Wesley Mission Queensland's Model of Care and values.
You will play a key role in clinical assessment, care planning, medication management, documentation, team leadership and maintaining a safe, supportive environment for residents, families and colleagues.

What We're Looking For
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Demonstrated clinical nursing experience and sound understanding of contemporary nursing practice
Ability to undertake comprehensive assessments, care planning and clinical reviews using a biopsychosocial model of care
Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide, coach and support Personal Carers, Assistants in Nursing and Enrolled Nurses
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families and multidisciplinary teams
Strong clinical decision-making, problem-solving and organisational skills
Ability to prioritise workload and respond effectively to changing resident needs
Commitment to person-centred care, continuous improvement and quality outcomes
