What you'll be doing Haematology Trainees manage patients with a range of haematological conditions, including haemopoietic stem cell transplant patients at some centres, under the supervision of Specialist Haematologists. Essential requirements- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Completed at least four postgraduate years and have completed or intend to complete the examination requirements of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians may be considered.
- International Medical graduates must provide documentation of Australian Medical Council assessment and a report from the relevant College (RCPA or RACP) outlining their training and exam requirements.
- Demonstrated clinical practice as a registered medical practitioner in the last 2 years in a setting appropriate to the needs of the position.
- This position is subject to an appropriate supervision level which can be supported by the health agency.
- If the incumbent's registration conditions include supervision requirements, the level of supervision must be able to be supported by the health agency for this role.

About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Violence Applicant Practitioner (FVAP) to join our specialist family violence team. Working alongside Family Violence Registrars, Respondent Practitioners and key court stakeholders, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals experiencing family violence and helping improve safety outcomes for women, children and families.
The Family Violence Applicant Practitioner (FVAP) plays a vital role in the Magistrates' Court of Victoria's response to family violence and will provide expert support to people experiencing family violence while contributing to a coordinated court response that prioritises safety, accountability and access to justice.
Working directly with victim survivors attending court, you will apply your specialist family violence knowledge to assess risk, develop safety plans, provide crisis support and connect clients with services that promote their immediate and ongoing safety. Through this work, you will help enhance outcomes for women, children and families affected by family violence while supporting a court environment that holds perpetrators accountable for their actions.
Other responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive MARAM-aligned risk assessments and safety planning.
- Providing crisis intervention, information, support and referrals.
- Linking clients with housing, counselling, legal, financial, AOD, mental health and other community services.
- Working collaboratively with court staff, legal practitioners, police and community agencies.
- Supporting safe and informed pathways through the family violence court process.
- Maintaining accurate client records and contributing to service improvement initiatives.
About You
- Relevant qualifications in social work, psychology, social sciences, or related field, in addition to demonstrated strong experience working with people who have experienced family violence.
- Demonstrated experience completing comprehensive MARAM aligned risk assessments and safety planning.
- Demonstrated experience and skills in the provision of support, crisis containment, risk assessment, and case coordination.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Family Violence Protection Act 2008, risk assessment and management framework and Victoria Police Code of Practice.

The primary purpose of the role is to provide effective clinical management of paediatric medical patients, under appropriate supervision, whilst developing expertise in paediatric practice, in a complex clinical environment. The Paediatric CMO is the key person who works closely with all members of a multi-disciplinary team and deals with matters of an urgent or sensitive nature, whilst exercising discretion, sensitivity and maintaining confidentiality. It is expected that the CMO has been exposed to all aspects of general paediatric medicine and is able to competently assess children presenting to the Emergency Department and make appropriate provisional diagnoses and management plans. The CMO is also expected to be proficient at both neonatal and paediatric resuscitation. The CMO will be exposed to a broad range of developmental and behavioural problems and they are expected to undertake the assessments as part of the multidisciplinary teams and independently where required. Decision making and supervision will be at the appropriate level according to the medical officer's skills, knowledge and experience. The CMO will be expected to adopt a progressively more independent approach to patient management according to their experience, under the guidance of and at the discretion of the appropriate Attending Medical Officer (AMO). All patients managed within the hospitals of the health district are under the direct care of a specialist medical practitioner. All decisions regarding their care are to be clearly communicated with the specialist responsible for that care.
Essential requirements- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
- Minimum four years experience in general paediatrics in a metropolitan hospital or tertiary paediatric centre with demonstrated ability to work at CMO level.
- Demonstrated clinical practice as a registered medical practitioner in the last 2 years in a setting appropriate to the needs of the position.
- Demonstrated experience and training in paediatric procedural and resuscitation skills including venepuncture, cannulation, bladder catheterisation and lumbar puncture.
- Advanced verbal, written and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to vary communication style in line with the understanding of the needs of diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads and display a flexible approach to meet changing situations in a demanding and unpredictable clinical environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development and self-education.
- This position is subject to an appropriate supervision level which can be supported by the health agency. If the incumbent's registration conditions include supervision requirements, the level of supervision must be able to be supported by the health agency for this role.

Senior Child Protection Practitioner roles in Brimbank Melton Area:
To be an effective Senior Child Protection Practitioner, you will have a strong sense of social justice and understand that families are complex, with their own unique histories. Importantly, you will be able to collaborate with the Team Manager to strengthen case practice, provide effective service delivery and to support other practitioners in the development of plans to bring about the changes necessary to ensure the safety, stability and development of children and young people.
At the CPP5.1 Senior Practitioner level, you will supervise team members in daily tasks through a structured and supportive learning program. This role will hold a caseload commensurate with supervisory responsibilities.
The transportation of children is a requirement of this role, as such a valid driver's licence and willingness to travel, including in country regions is essential.
