About You
We’re looking for someone who has current AHPRA registration and is endorsed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or meets the requirements for a Transitional Nurse Practitioner application.
Nurse Practitioners:
- Demonstrated Advanced Clinical Practice in the main Metaspecialty, focusing on complex, autonomous decision-making in the clinical management of patients.
- Demonstrated willingness in the development of your Scope of Practice to improve access to healthcare for patients and their carers.
- Demonstrated effective communication and teamwork, building strong relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Demonstrated leadership and educational activities in your current role.
- Demonstrated ability to support health care systems and research.
Transitional Nurse Practitioners:
- Developing skills and knowledge in advanced clinical practice within the main Metaspecialty, with experience in autonomous decision-making and clinical management of patients.
- Lead and participate in educational activities including staff and patients; contribute to quality improvement activities in the support of health care systems.
- Willingness to develop a Scope of Practice across multimodal specialties.

This vacancy is maternity leave relief for an initial period of up to 49 weeks for 8 hours per week; the hours and period of employment may change according to the maternity leave requirements. There is also the possibility of an extension at same / reduced hours.
About the role
Casino District Memorial Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) Emergency to coordinate, deliver and evaluate clinical nursing education programs at a ward/service level. You'll provide clinical supervision to support the development of evidence-based, person-centred nursing care in line with the standards, policies and procedures of the Ministry of Health and other statutory authorities.
Also known as the Rainbow Region, this area is blessed with stunning forests and waterfalls, fertile farming land, artistic villages and relaxed seaside communities. For a different type of scene, you can drive to the Gold Coast or Brisbane in under 3 hours.

- Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Midwife.

The Role

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse to join our Older Persons Community Mental Health Team. As part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will deliver recovery-oriented, person-centred care to consumers aged 65 years and over who are experiencing mental illness, supporting their wellbeing, independence and quality of life within the community.
This varied and fulfilling role involves working collaboratively with consumers, families, carers, aged care providers, general practitioners and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive mental health assessments, care coordination and evidence-based therapeutic interventions across a range of community settings.

- Tertiary qualifications in Nursing and current unrestricted registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.

About the role
Working in community Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm, this role offers great autonomy, and you will experience a wide range of presentations. Day-to-day tasks include mental health assessments, crisis intervention, acute assessment in emergency situations, care planning, and case management for adult clients with severe and complex mental health needs, delivering intensive support in a community setting.
Our senior staff and educators have a ‘doors open’ policy, so are readily available to provide you with the right information or support to make decisions and referrals. You’ll work with the educator’s one on one until you find your feet, and as we look out for each other in the bush, your peers (a team of dedicated staff) will always have your back and are only a call or teams meeting away.

Recent examples of our innovation include the ‘Yarning space’ and improving the inpatient discharge process to transition to in community supports. The Team
The Alcohol and Drug Service (ADS) is a state-wide service across Tasmania. We provide programs and treatment to help with alcohol, tobacco, and other drug issues.
ADS provides services that include intake and assessment, case management and coordination of care, withdrawal management, relapse prevention, secondary consultation, brief intervention, counselling, group work and therapy, health promotion, information and community education. ADS also provides a variety of programs, interventions, and treatment services:
- Community teams – counselling and treatment service
- Withdrawal management services
- Opioid pharmacotherapy program

The Role
As a member of the Office of the Group Director ADS, based in New Town, Tasmania, the Executive Support Officer demonstrates a high degree of initiative and confidentiality, and is the primary point of contact for the Office. The Executive Support Officer will:
- Provide a high level of executive and administrative support to the Group Director and Statewide Speciality Director ADS.
- Support the efficient and effective delivery of business activities and processes for the ADS.
You will need
- Proven experience and understanding of the provision of high-level executive and administrative support in a demanding senior management environment.
- Well-developed organisational and research skills, together with the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, manage a diverse and often competing workload to achieve desired outcomes within an environment subject to continuous change.
- Ability to exercise initiative, judgement, sensitivity, and discretion, including the ability to interpret and analyse information and recommend or decide on appropriate action within a senior management environment.

What you'll be doing
Undertaking of 0.5 FTE clinical and 0.5 FTE non-clinical administrative, educational, research, and clinical governance responsibilities.
The General Medical service cares for inpatients with complex medical and social issues. The AT will gain experience in a wide range of areas including infectious diseases, endocrinology, rheumatology, cardiology, respiratory medicine, geriatrics and rehabilitation medicine, pain (acute and chronic), toxicology, drug and alcohol medicine, mental health including eating disorders, palliative care, and the management of patients with multisystem disorders and undifferentiated presentations.
Decision making and supervision will be at the appropriate level according to the trainee's skills, knowledge and experience. The medical officer will be expected to adopt a progressively more independent approach to patient management according to their experience, under the guidance of and at the discretion of the appropriate consultant. All patients managed within the hospitals of the health service are under the direct care of a specialist medical practitioner. All decisions regarding their care are to be clearly communicated with the specialist responsible for that care.

The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an unaccredited Cardiology registrar position, working in a supportive, structured teaching environment to support progression to entering advanced training.
You will be part of a collegiate team of 7 Cardiologists and 3 specialist Cardiology registrars supported by junior medical officers working across a 7-day roster. You will have access to weekly education sessions and mentorship from consultants with an open-door policy to assist in developing your clinical proficiency.
The Cardiology service is rapidly evolving. Our cardiac catheterisation laboratory opened in late 2024. Service enhancements anticipated for 2026 include primary PCI capability and multi-modality cardiac imaging. We have strong links to the Gold Coast University Hospital for cardiac surgery and advanced cardiac electrophysiology.

What you'll be doing
Decision making and supervision will be at the appropriate level according to the trainee's skills, knowledge and experience. The medical officer will be expected to adopt a progressively more independent approach to patient management according to their experience, under the guidance of and at the discretion of the appropriate Attending Medical Officer (AMO). All patients managed within the hospitals of the health service are under the direct care of a specialist medical practitioner. All decisions regarding their care are to be clearly communicated with the specialist responsible for that care.
