About the role
The Nurse Practitioner See & Treat, Paediatric Emergency Department (PED) works within the nurse led See and Treat Service and ACE model within the department providing prompt assessment, treatment and discharge of patients allocated to this service.
Key duties of the role
- Contribute expert nursing assessment and advice to local clinical teams to achieve integrated nursing care within a risk management framework.
- Initiate, develop and implement educational and/or clinical protocols/standards.
- Lead the development of education resources for health professionals and patient/client groups
- Contribute specific expertise to monitoring and evaluative research activities in order to improve nursing or midwifery practice and service delivery
- Provides leadership and direction, acts as a role model, mentor, consultant and resource person.
Skills and Experience
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate with the notation of Nurse Practitioner.
- Demonstrated ability to work as an autonomous practitioner and/or as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 5 years post registration experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Nurse Practitioner’s role.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, industrial agreements, standards, codes, ethics and competency standards

About the role
As the Diabetes Educator & Cardiac Rehabilitation CNS, you will provide specialist clinical leadership and individualised, case-managed care across Diabetes Management and Cardiac Rehabilitation within Moree Health Services. Your role will include both community and acute support, with opportunities to provide diabetes management support to clients across the broader Mehi region.
You will be supported by the Community Health Service Manager, as well as the broader multi-disciplinary allied health team and aboriginal health unit. About you
We are looking for a motivated and autonomous clinician who is passionate about diabetes management and committed to improving health outcomes for people living in rural and regional communities. Experience in cardiac rehabilitation is highly regarded; however, this role provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced diabetes clinician to develop specialist skills in cardiac rehabilitation.
You will bring:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- A postgraduate qualification in Diabetes Management and/or Chronic Care, with at least three years' postgraduate experience.
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge and experience in diabetes management.
- A current unrestricted NSW driver's licence and willingness to travel for work purposes, including outreach to surrounding communities.

NSW Health Pathology's Forensic Medicine service is seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) to join our specialised multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have:
- Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Relevant Post graduate qualifications in midwifery or other relevant area e.g. education and/or at least 3 years recent experience working in the acute midwifery clinical area.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex clinical care and service delivery issues and problem solve through the development and use of clinical management plans.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise extended autonomy of decision making while working as part of a multidisciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.
- Demonstrated skills in the development & facilitation of women and carer education and midwifery staff as required.
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of harm minimisation and evidence of leadership in safety and quality innovation.
- Demonstrated competence in the use of health-related information technology.

Selection Criteria
- MBBS or equivalent, current general registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Completion of at least four postgraduate years and successful completion of the examination requirements of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, or equivalent, and be eligible to undertake subspecialty training in Geriatric Medicine in Australia.
- Demonstrated commitment to training in Geriatric Medicine and previous experience in Aged Care Medicine
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with a supervised clinical environment using excellent clinical skills, judgement and expertise
- Good time management and organisational skills, and advanced computing skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams

Central Coast Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department:
The Career Medical Officer position involves general experience in labour ward management and gynaecology operating. Provide effective medical services to patients under supervision, while developing expertise in medical practice, in a complex clinical environment in inpatients and outpatient areas in the public health organisation. The department also offers training opportunities for CMO grade doctors including access to consultants on the floor training and attendance at regular morbidly and mortality meetings. CCLHD have an active training program that is available for all Medical Officers.
Gosford Hospital is the principal referral hospital and trauma centre for the Central Coast, with over 500 inpatient beds and 24/7 access to the emergency department and operating theatres. A recent $368 million dollar redevelopment delivered a new emergency department, ICU, nuclear medicine facility, special care nursery and expanded medical imaging services.
Wyong Hospital is an acute major metropolitan hospital with over 300 beds providing inpatient, outpatient and emergency services to residents in the northern region of the Central Coast. A recent $200 million expansion delivered a new emergency department, ICU, paediatric unit, inpatient wards, theatres and expanded medical imaging services. Another development is the Wyong Women’s Centre, due for completion at the end of 2024. This will provide more accommodation for antenatal and gynaecology outpatient clinics. In addition, there will be two procedure rooms for more outpatient procedures to be performed,
