We are seeking an experienced Environment & Closure Advisor to join a high performing mining operation and play a key role in environmental management, compliance, rehabilitation and closure planning.

This is not a generalist HSE position. We are looking for an environmental professional with strong technical qualifications and hands on mining experience who can step into an operational site environment and make an immediate impact.

We currently have two back-to-back opportunities available. The first position is required as soon as possible, with an anticipated start of Wednesday, 2 September. The second opportunity is expected to commence around October/November.

Working on a 7:7 FIFO roster, you will be responsible for supporting the site's environmental performance while contributing to long term rehabilitation and closure outcomes.

You'll spend a good portion of your time in the field, working alongside operational teams, contractors and consultants while also managing environmental data, compliance requirements, reporting and closure related activities.

Your typical day may include:

• Conducting field based environmental inspections covering water quality, dust, hazardous materials and waste management
• Monitoring flora, fauna, weeds, pests and rehabilitation to assess progress toward successful ecosystem restoration
• Supervising environmental and closure contractors and consultants
• Calibrating, maintaining and checking environmental monitoring equipment
• Collecting, verifying and analysing environmental data and identifying trends
