Basic Functions and Responsibilities- Develops a comprehensive health record on each new student that registers for school including an appropriate health history. - Performs routine screenings of vision and hearing, weighing and measuring, and blood pressure and visual dental check. When deviation from the norm is detected, the certified school nurse is responsible for referring the student and parent to the appropriate practitioner or agency for follow-up, and documenting such activities.
- Interprets the findings of the physical examination to parents, teacher and child (on his level) to motivate the student to take an interest and develop a responsibility for his own health. Where physical defects are detected, assists the parent in contacting the available professional resources for diagnosis and treatment.
- Provides emergency medical care for all employees and arranges for care and follow-up at an appropriate emergency room or at the facility designated by the district.
- Counsels parents, teachers and students concerning medical and health related information. Instructs teaches and other staff regarding 'the signs and symptoms of diseases of individual students that would indicate that they need immediate health services.
- Conducts tuberculin screening programs on staff and students as mandated by the New Jersey State Department of Health and Education.
- Reviews every medical record annually to provide information to parents and administration concerning the immunization status of all school students as is required by law.
- Provide input into health education programs by being the health resource person in the school. The certified school nurse may actively participate in the health and in-service educational instruction for students and their parents.
- Informs and interprets for the child study team all medical and or other findings on the NPS children that will enable them to better understand the child in order that he may be properly placed and attain a level of achievement consistent with his abilities.
- Assists in planning and maintaining a safe and healthful school environment.
- Confers with representatives of community agencies in matters pertaining to family and community health.
- Dispenses medication prescribed by a physician in keeping with the current guidelines set forth by the Medical Director. Provides nursing care as deemed necessary by the child's health condition.
- Serves on various committees within the school as is deemed necessary.
- Administers prescribed treatments and ensures that prescribed measures are carried out.

A regular day will see you:
- Applying your knowledge of NGS assays and sequencing technologies to provide technical guidance and support to staff within the HTS team.

Position ProfileWe are recruiting for Urology Fellow. This position provides and promotes high quality and patient centred care to inpatients and outpatients of the specialty under the supervision of consultant medical staff. The Child Health and Parenting Service is seeking a Lead Psychologist to join our new residential unit.
The TeamThe Child Health and Parenting Service provides Primary Healthcare services to Families in Tasmania with children under the age of five, including health and development assessment, connection to other services, and a wide range of Parenting Support. The new Intensive Residential Parenting Unit will add to the current community support available, offering families the option of admission to a residential setting with focussed support for a wide range of parenting concerns, including parent and caregiver mental health and wellbeing. The unit is staffed by a nursing-led multidisciplinary team, working alongside the wider CHaPS network and with core connections with services across the Tasmanian service landscape, to deliver co-ordinated, comprehensive care in partnership with families.
The RoleAs the Clinical Lead Psychologist within the Intensive Residential Parenting Unit, you will provide specialist psychological assessment, intervention and care coordination for parents and caregivers experiencing challenges to their mental health and wellbeing. Working as part of the multidisciplinary team, you will lead the planning and delivery of care for families, provide expert clinical advice, build strong partnerships with internal and external service providers, and contribute to the development of policies, programs and services that support positive outcomes for parents, infants and families. The TeamPeacock Centre is a contemporary mental health service, comprising of a twelve bed clinical inpatient unit (Peacock House) and a peer led Intergration Hub and Safe Haven, with care offered in a warm, welcoming environment. These services work closely together to provide least restrictive care for people experiencing suicidal distress and other mental health concerns and diagnoses as well as focussing on hospital avoidance principles. The successful incumbent must be able to work in a clinical environment but also be able to lead a peer led model of care. Referrals for the inpatient unit come from a number of different sources, and the unit must be able to respond appropriately in timely way; whilst the Safe Haven and the Integration Hubs are a "walk-in" environment with no referral required.
Peacock Centre, which is located in a heritage listed building, is an important part of Mental Health Services in Southern Tasmania. It is located in the centre of beautiful North Hobart, five minutes away from the centre of Hobart. There is ample parking (with a dedicated parking spot for the Manager). This role is expected to take part in an out of hours on call roster.
The role provides clinical oversight of the three services located in Peacock Centre (Peacock House, the Integration Hub and the Safe Haven). It also provides oversight of the fiscal and human resources that are required to run the Centre. The role must ensure that Peacock Centre is aligned within the model of care for the service, as well as ensuring it works collegially with other mental health services to ensure optimal operation and outcomes for consumers.
You will need- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary evidence based mental health service provision and extensive post-graduate clinical service delivery experience in the context of a multidisciplinary mental health team.
- Significant management experience in a community mental health setting and the capacity to provide leadership and vision to instil the principles and goals of Tasmanian Mental Health Reform Program and key documents specific to the Peacock Centre site.
- An understanding of, and capacity to implement, change management processes and strategies to assist in the initial establishment and the ongoing development and operation of the Acute Treatment Unit, Safe Haven, Integrated Hub and Recovery College Operational Service Models and related documentation.

About the positionCouncils Family Health Support Services Department is looking for Maternal and Child Health Nurses who will be responsible for delivering the Victorian Maternal and Child Health Service to our families within the municipality.
Main responsibilities will include:

About you- Hold an accredited post-graduate tertiary qualification leading to Maternal and Child Health Nursing;
- Current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registrations with both Registered Nurse (Division 1), General and Registered Midwife;
- Experience in a Microsoft Office Applications and Child Development Information System (CDIS); and
