The role provides clinical oversight of the three services located in Peacock Centre (Peacock House, the Integration Hub and the Safe Haven). It also provides oversight of the fiscal and human resources that are required to run the Centre. The role must ensure that Peacock Centre is aligned within the model of care for the service, as well as ensuring it works collegially with other mental health services to ensure optimal operation and outcomes for consumers.
Please note this position is also being advertised as a Manager - Peacock Centre (526420d) and only one position will be filled on merit. Please note this positionis eligible for a Multi Disciplinary Allowance The TeamPeacock Centre is a contemporary mental health service, comprising of a twelve bed clinical inpatient unit (Peacock House) and a peer led Intergration Hub and Safe Haven, with care offered in a warm, welcoming environment. These services work closely together to provide least restrictive care for people experiencing suicidal distress and other mental health concerns and diagnoses as well as focussing on hospital avoidance principles. The successful incumbent must be able to work in a clinical environment but also be able to lead a peer led model of care. Referrals for the inpatient unit come from a number of different sources, and the unit must be able to respond appropriately in timely way; whilst the Safe Haven and the Integration Hubs are a "walk-in" environment with no referral required.
Peacock Centre, which is located in a heritage listed building, is an important part of Mental Health Services in Southern Tasmania. It is located in the centre of beautiful North Hobart, five minutes away from the centre of Hobart. There is ample parking (with a dedicated parking spot for the Manager). This role is expected to take part in an out of hours on call roster.
You will need- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary evidence based mental health service provision and extensive post-graduate clinical service delivery experience in the context of a multidisciplinary mental health team.
- Significant management experience in a community mental health setting and the capacity to provide leadership and vision to instil the principles and goals of Tasmanian Mental Health Reform Program and key documents specific to the Peacock Centre site.
- An understanding of, and capacity to implement, change management processes and strategies to assist in the initial establishment and the ongoing development and operation of the Acute Treatment Unit, Safe Haven, Integrated Hub and Recovery College Operational Service Models and related documentation.

The Clinical Lead Physiotherapist - Cardiorespiratory will:
- Provide leadership and direction for the Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy service within THS North, including services provided to Intensive Care Unit, Medical Inpatient Units, Outpatient Respiratory Clinics, and Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
- Coordinate resource allocation across Medical Inpatient Units, Intensive Care, Outpatient Respiratory Clinics, and Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs. Including coordination of rosters, rotations and leave management.
- Ensure high quality evidence-based Physiotherapy assessment, planning and implementation of treatment programs for patients requiring Physiotherapy and Allied Health Assistant programs in the above areas.
- Supervise, educate, and contribute to performance management of Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants, and students in the above areas and support the development of appropriate systems, structures, and guideline to enable staff development and career progression.
- Coordinate the roster, training and competency assessments for staff who provide Physiotherapy on-call (after hours and weekend physiotherapy) service.
- Ensure consistent high quality Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy is provided to patients in outlying units including the Emergency Department, Northside, Surgical Units, Women and Children's' Units and the Paediatric units
- Work with universities, including the University of Tasmania, to ensure appropriate education resources for Acute Physiotherapy/ Cardiorespiratory student placements.
- Provide advanced scope Physiotherapy consultation and assessments; treatment planning including onward referrals and interventions for complex Cardiorespiratory patients across all health settings. This may include treating ventilated patients, involvement in tracheostomy management and weaning and utilising specialised devices such as Non-Invasive Ventilation and Cough Assist machines.
- Provide clinical expertise and oversight in the Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy space in collaboration with the Team Leads or Clinical Leads within other Physiotherapy streams and the wider teams, including but not exclusive to medical, intensive care, paediatric areas, to deliver direct patient care in accordance with patients' needs and goals.
- Provide professional leadership and direction to coordination of the physiotherapy services for Cardiorespiratory patients, including service development in keeping with current and emerging research.
- Work with the Physiotherapy leadership team, contributing and advising on the clinical and operational governance for the department.
- Develop, monitor and report on Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy services, Launceston General Hospital, by utilising effective data management and analysis skills.
- Lead the establishment and maintenance of collaborative working relationships within the Medical Inpatient Units, Medical and Intensive Care teams, Nursing team, and other Allied Health professionals to achieve optimal client and service outcomes.
- Be a resource person for Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy in THS North.

Position Profile:The Medical Administration Trainee Registrar serves a unique position within the Child & Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) and provides valuable insight into both the framework and workings of a metropolitan teaching hospital. This position works with the CAHS Executive Director Medical Services & the Director Medical Services to deliver professional leadership, support, and direction in relation to strategic and operational projects as required, with a specific focus on medical administration responsibilities. This role would continue in or progress towards a supervised training program in medical administration as a trainee with the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA).

The role provides clinical oversight of the three services located in Peacock Centre (Peacock House, the Integration Hub and the Safe Haven). It also provides oversight of the fiscal and human resources that are required to run the Centre. The role must ensure that Peacock Centre is aligned within the model of care for the service, as well as ensuring it works collegially with other mental health services to ensure optimal operation and outcomes for consumers.

The TeamPeacock Centre is a contemporary mental health service, comprising of a twelve bed clinical inpatient unit (Peacock House) and a peer led Intergration Hub and Safe Haven, with care offered in a warm, welcoming environment. These services work closely together to provide least restrictive care for people experiencing suicidal distress and other mental health concerns and diagnoses as well as focussing on hospital avoidance principles. The successful incumbent must be able to work in a clinical environment but also be able to lead a peer led model of care. Referrals for the inpatient unit come from a number of different sources, and the unit must be able to respond appropriately in timely way; whilst the Safe Haven and the Integration Hubs are a "walk-in" environment with no referral required.
Peacock Centre, which is located in a heritage listed building, is an important part of Mental Health Services in Southern Tasmania. It is located in the centre of beautiful North Hobart, five minutes away from the centre of Hobart. There is ample parking (with a dedicated parking spot for the Manager). This role is expected to take part in an out of hours on call roster.
You will need- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary evidence based mental health service provision and extensive post-graduate clinical service delivery experience in the context of a multidisciplinary mental health team.
- Significant management experience in a community mental health setting and the capacity to provide leadership and vision to instil the principles and goals of Tasmanian Mental Health Reform Program and key documents specific to the Peacock Centre site.

The TeamRoyal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania's largest hospital. The Cardiology/ Cardiothoracic Ward is the Level 6 referral centre for these services in the State. The Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit works closely with the Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Unitto focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.
The RoleWithin a multidisciplinary environment and in collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Consultant - Cardiac Rehabilitation, the Registered Nurse - Cardiac Rehabilitation strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe, quality, clinically appropriate cardiac rehabilitation nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families/carers and other health professionals.
You will need- Current knowledge of, and the ability to apply nursing principles, procedures, and practices in the delivery of patient/client care in a designated practice area and in line with legal requirements and the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council National Competency Standards for Registered Nurses.
- Sound knowledge of, and the ability to acquire, a comprehensive knowledge of cardiac rehabilitation and demonstrated advanced clinical competence in related clinical areas.
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills, including written skills and the ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Permanent, part-time day worker position, working up to 48 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Fixed-term part-time day worker position, working up to 48 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for approximately twelve (12) months. notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
$80,524 to $109,175 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439-$109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.
You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
