A full-time GP position servicing the communities of Kimba, Cleve, Cowell and Elliston in the 'heart of the Eyre Peninsula', is now available for a GP passionate about rural healthcare.

All of these 4 locations are Distribution Priority Areas and all locations are included in the Five-Year OTD Scheme.

This stimulating role includes great diversity in scope and, as an essential member of this rural team, includes travel to provide care in Mid Eyre Medical's practices in the communities of Kimba, Cleve, Cowell, and Elliston, in addition to providing medical services at the local hospital on a rostered basis.

Standard work hours include up to 10 sessions per week during consulting hours, Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5pm, and a 1:4 roster providing emergency after-hours service to the local hospitals.

GPs in these towns can use the SAVES virtual emergency service to support triage level 3, 4, and 5 presentations.

• Eligible for medical registration with AHPRA
• MBBS or equivalent.
• Current emergency medicine experience, or willingness to upskill
• Able to obtain credentials as a General Practitioner in the clinical domain of GP Medicine (emergency medicine).

Knowledge of General Practice in rural remote areas and a postgraduate qualification relevant to general practice (e.g. Diploma of Child Health, Diploma in Obstetrics) is desirable, but not essential.
