The Mental Health Graduate Program provides an opportunity for newly qualified Occupational Therapists to make the transition to professional practice in a structured and supported program. Each graduate is offered two six-month clinical rotations in two areas of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Service. The program encourages consolidation of mental health skills and knowledge within a holistic multidiscipline framework that also includes lived experience workers.
The Mental Health Graduate Program aims to support new graduates during their first year of professional practice to develop the skills, knowledge, applied experience and values to become an effective member of the mental health workforce. Graduates attend monthly study days facilitated by the Mental Health Professional Development Unit, completing assessment tasks and hurdle requirements to receive a certificate of completion.

Your New Division
The Clinical Operations Division encompasses acute, cancer and mental health services. About the RoleAs the Medical Director, Regional Training Hub NT, you will provide strategic leadership to support and strengthen medical education and training pathways across the Northern Territory. - Administer medications, intravenous therapies, blood products and other treatments in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Perform and assist with emergency procedures, including intravenous cannulation, wound management, ECGs and specimen collection.
- Participate in advanced life support and resuscitation interventions.
