This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of paediatricians as our paediatric provisional fellow. We are a friendly, innovative and exciting team who are motivated and interested in rural and complex paediatric medicine. We place a strong emphasis in providing an exceptional standard of service to our under-resourced and vulnerable populations. We have a strong focus on education and service development.
The work includes acute and emergency paediatrics, neonatal resuscitation and special care nursery management and outpatient clinics. We have a 6-bed plus 4-short stay bed Level 4 Paediatric Unit that services the Eurobodalla and Bega Valley regions. We support an experienced Emergency Department with around 4000 paediatric emergency presentations per year. We are also receiving paediatric hospital for surrounding hospitals in Eurobodalla and BegaValley which totals another 4000 paediatric emergency presentations per year. We provide a Level 3 maternity service and Level 2 "plus" neonatal service that delivers around 300 babies per annum. We also have a varied outpatient caseload with challenging and interesting paediatric medicine and developmental/behavioural medicine. We provide regular specialist outpatient clinics at South East Regional Hospital and throughout reach clinics in Eden, Cooma, Narooma and Eurobodalla.
We have a strong emphasis on education and training and there are teaching opportunities across undergraduate, pre-vocational and vocational training, and GP specialist training levels. We also place strong emphasis on education and support to the surrounding hospitals of our region. We have strong links with the Australian National University Graduate Medical School including placement of rural medical students in the Paediatric ward.
The successful candidate will provide: paediatric services across all of the settings described above; support and supervision of Junior Medical staff and medical students; and leadership in teaching and training for junior medical staff, medical students and nursing staff. The candidate will have the opportunity to be 'first on call', and opportunities for research, service development and project leadership under the support and supervision of the paediatric senior staff.
The position is accredited with the RACP for Paediatric Specialist training. The trainee will meet requirements for Rural General Paediatrics with no neonatal component and Community/Developmental Paediatrics as part of a 12 month general Paediatric term.

Selection Criteria
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Registered with the RACP as an advanced trainee or equivalent. Those registered with the RACP must have successfully completed the written and clinical components of the FRACP examination or equivalent and preferably completed a minimum of 6 months as an advanced trainee with the RACP or equivalent at commencement of Fellowship. This position is applicable for peer review via the OTP Pathway.
- Minimum 12 months general paediatric experience. Desirable experience includes experience in paediatric and neonatal acute and critical care, and experience in paediatric developmental / behavioural medicine.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with other health professionals.
- Ongoing commitment to further education and professional development and demonstrated ability to teach, with a willingness to participate in the teaching of medical students, junior medical staff, and other clinical staff.
- Understanding of research methodology or research experience and a willingness to undertake a research proposal.
- Demonstrated contribution to the development of hospital services e.g. participation in paediatric junior staff matters, participation in hospital committees, project leadership.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a Tertiary Peadiatric Orthotics Department within The Children's Hospital at Westmead. The service includes 15 FTE and provides orthosis to babies, children and young adults. This position is open to suitably qualified Orthotists/Prosthetists on a permanent basis or to Podiatrists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, or Exercise Physiologist on a 2 year contract. Overseas applications welcome but must have membership of the Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association or be finalising assessments for membership.
What you'll be doing
The Head of the Orthotics Department (HOD) provides leadership to members of staff to ensure a high-quality tertiary paediatric Orthotics service.
The department includes Orthotists, Technical Officers, Allied Health Assistants and Administration staff. The staff work together to provide a safe, effective, efficient and responsive service.
The HOD provides leadership to ensure excellence in the Orthotics services provided to babies, children, young people and their families within the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network. This involves responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Orthotics Department and the promotion of a culture of continuous improvement, education and training, evidence-based practice and research.
The department also provides NDIS funded services to eligible patients.
The role contributes to the delivery of clinical service to patients. The Orthotics HODs within SCHN work collaboratively to align services in collaboration with key internal and external SCHN stakeholders and foster a positive and nourishing workplace culture that attracts, retains and develops quality staff. This extends to clinical service delivery, manufacturing of orthoses, education and training for staff, quality improvement and research opportunities.
The Orthotic department provides a comprehensive range of orthotic services, including trauma, acute post-operative care to inpatients and outpatients. Orthotists attend clinics, wards and operating theatres as well as treat patients within the department's own outpatient clinical setting. All orthoses manufacture is completed on site with the help of Orthotic Technicians.

The RoleThe Registered Nurse or Midwife - Clinical Coach:

Rheumatology Unit
The Rheumatology Unit at Launceston General Hospital was established in early 2026 and is a growing multidisciplinary service dedicated to providing comprehensive rheumatology care across North and North West regions of Tasmania.
The team currently consists of 2-3 rheumatologists, 2 physiotherapists, 1 clinical nurse consultant, and 1 administrator. Despite its small size, the unit is a dynamic and collaborative team that values innovation, patient-centred care, and continuous service development.
Working closely together, the multidisciplinary team provides coordinated, patient-centred care for individuals living with inflammatory rheumatic diseases, including inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue diseases, vasculitis, and crystal arthropathies, helping patients achieve the best possible health and quality-of-life outcomes.
The Role:
- Staff Specialist Rheumatologist, providing specialist care in Rheumatology
- Provide outpatient consultation to public patients across Northern Tasmania in specialist Rheumatology services

What you'll be doingAs a Neurosurgical Fellow, you will:
- Participate in operating theatre and specialist clinic sessions with consultant supervision
- Provide high-quality patient care through daily ward rounds and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Develop advanced skills in the assessment, diagnosis and management of spinal and neurosurgical conditions
- Undertake neurosurgery-related research and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives

To be successful, you will possess:
- A medical degree and current AHPRA registration (or eligibility for registration)
- FRACS or an equivalent qualification

About the opportunitiesSouth East Regional Hospital (SERH) is a Level 4 Paediatric Unit with 6 paediatric inpatient beds plus 4 short stay beds. The service is currently the receiving hospital for children requiring admission across the Coastal Network. The service supports a well staffed and experienced emergency department with approximately 4000 paediatric emergency presentations annually at South East Regional Hospital. The service provides telehealth consultation and support to emergency departments at other hospitals across the Coastal Network who see a further 4000 paediatric emergency presentations annually. The service at South East Regional Hospital has a 2 bed special care nursery supporting a Level 3 maternity service withapproximately 300 births per year.
Eurobodalla Regional Hospital (ERH) will be opening in March 2027. This is a brand new hospital with a new paediatric service. The service is planned to grow into a Level 4 Paediatric Unit with a Level 2 Special Care Nursery supporting a Level 3 Maternity Service with approximately 300 births per year. We are looking for a leader to establish and develop the new paediatric service at ERH.
In a true networked model the services provide regular specialist paediatric outpatient clinics locally in Bega and Moruya and through outreach clinics at multiple sites on the coast and inland areas within Southern NSW LHD. SERH and ERH aretraining sites for medical students in paediatric medicine from Australian National University. SERH is accredited with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians for Advanced Training in Paediatrics & Child Health (rural paediatrics/community & developmental paediatrics) and with ACRRM and RACGP for advanced skills training (AST) in paediatrics. Upskilling of staff across the Coastal Network in the area of Paediatric and Neonatal medicine is a strategic focus. There is a strong emphasis on teaching with an Education and Simulation Centre at South East Regional Hospital and regular outreach teaching programs for General Practitioners and Nursing/Midwifery at hospitals and primary care centres across the coastal network.

What you'll be doing
The primary purpose of the Trainee - Stage 1 in the Emergency Department is to provide clinical care, under appropriate supervision, to patients requiring emergency medical services in a complex clinical environment. This includes both Adult and Paediatric patients. This position will provide experience in a critical care environment and have responsibilities and opportunities for autonomous practice commensurate with the level of experience of the incumbent.
The Trainee - Stage 1 is expected to supervise and participate in teaching Junior Medical Officers and Medical Students, and taking part in research where appropriate.
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
- Proof of English language proficiency if not Australian University qualified or evidence of completion of English language proficiency to satisfactory requirements within three (3) months of date of application.

Skills & Experience RequiredEssential Criteria Registerable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration
Essential Criteria FRACP with Subspecialty Recognition in Respiratory Medicine
Desirable Criteria FRACP with Subspecialty Recognition in Sleep Medicine
Desirable Criteria Up to date skills in interventional bronchoscopy - including linear and radial EBUS, transbronchial biopsy, and cryobiopsy.

About the role
Coordinating the Local Health District (LHD) Nurse Practitioner (NP) strategic direction and governance for Nurse Practitioners/Transitional Nurse Practitioners (NP/TNP) across the LHD. Providing a high level of advice and support to actively engage with the Directors of Nursing and Midwifery to recruit to new Nurse Practitioner roles across Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD). Leveraging their comprehensive understanding of professional, clinical and legislative requirements of NPs to enable the seamless implementation of models of cares, training pathways and professional and clinical governance processes that support whole team approaches and ensure high-quality clinical care of consumers and families.
