As a Registered Nurse within the new Medical Unit (6 North) at Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital, you will deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to patients with a broad range of acute medical conditions. A little about us.
An exciting opportunity exists for passionate and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our dynamic Medical Ward team as we prepare for a significant transformation. In October 2026, our ward will relocate to the brand-new 6 North Medical Unit within the new Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital redevelopment. This transition will see the future expansion of our current medical services to include a dedicated Respiratory specialty focus, providing staff with the opportunity to develop and enhance their clinical skills in the management of a diverse range of acute medical and respiratory conditions.
Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital is the main referral hospital for the Shoalhaven region, providing emergency care, medical, surgical, mental health and orthopaedic services. The hospital has an Intensive Care Unit focusing on ventilated, high dependency and coronary patients, Children’s Ward and Maternity Unit, as well as a purpose-built regional Cancer Care Centre.
The hospital is currently undergoing a significant $440M redevelopment that will redefine how healthcare is delivered within the Region. Once complete in 2026, the new seven-storey Acute Services Building and refurbishments on the current hospital site will bring a focus on career development. allowing you to grow your career, acquire new skills and advance professionally as the hospital continues to develop. Within this redevelopment, a purpose-designed Mental Health Inpatient Unit will open for the first time at Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital, providing local consumers with access to comprehensive inpatient mental health care closer to home. The Royal Hospital for Women is a multi-faceted tertiary referral and teaching hospital, internationally recognised as one of the world’s leading centres for the care of mothers, babies, and women with benign gynaecological and gynae-oncology conditions. As the only stand-alone women’s hospital in New South Wales, it offers unique opportunities for innovative clinical practice and is committed to delivering excellence in women’s health care through both practice and ongoing research.
Part of the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD), the hospital is co-located with other major facilities on the Randwick Hospitals Campus—one of the State’s most comprehensive health care precincts. This location supports a rich environment for collaboration and expertise across specialties.
Ideally situated between the University of New South Wales and Coogee Beach, The Royal Hospital for Women is just 15 minutes from Sydney’s Central Business District and harbour. The Role
All staff are expected to take reasonable care that their actions do not adversely affect the health and safety of others, that they comply with any reasonable instruction that is given them and with any reasonable policies/procedures relating to health or safety in the workplace, as well as notifying any hazards/risks or incidents to their managers.
The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality nursing care to patients of the Gynaecology Outpatient Department consistent with SESHLD policies, procedures and standards.
The Registered Nurse is responsible to the Nursing Unit Manager with a professional reporting line to the Clinical Co-Director Gynaecology Services. The Registered Nurse will liaise and communicate with the Clinical Nurse Consultant – Gynaecology Specialty Services, Gynaecology Outpatient Administration Officers, nursing and allied health staff and medical staff.
The Gynaecology Outpatient Department is a dedicated area comprising fourteen consulting and procedure rooms and is located on level 2 within the Royal Hospital for Women.
The Gynaecology Outpatient Department provides a comprehensive range of speciality ambulatory services including Benign Gynaecology, Endogynaecology, Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology, Menopause, Chronic Pelvic Pain, Contraception, Vulval Health , Urogynaecology, Surgical Preadmission, and procedure clinics including Hysteroscopy, insertion and removal of intra-uterine devices, Urodynamics and Colposcopy.
Services are provided on a referral basis for adult, adolescent and paediatric patients at a tertiary and quaternary level from the local community, and within NSW. Services are also provided to patients within the Randwick Hospital Campus, including from Prince of Wales and Sydney Children’s Hospital.
The Registered Nurse is responsible to the Nursing Unit Manager with a professional reporting line to the Clinical Co-Director Gynaecology Services. The Registered Nurse will liaise and communicate with the Clinical Nurse Consultant – Gynaecology Specialty Services, Gynaecology Outpatient Administration Officers, Nursing, Allied health staff and Medical staff.

The Enrolled Nurse is responsible for the provision of compassionate and professional nursing care to all patients. The Enrolled Nurse is the patient/client's advocate and delivers high quality nursing care to patients/ clients of the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District consistent with the LHDs policies, procedures and standards.
The Enrolled Nurse works under the direct and indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse. The Enrolled Nurse retains responsibility for their personal actions whilst remaining accountable to the registered Nurse for delegated functions.
Professional development and active participation in the service Quality Improvement program are integral components of the role. All staff are expected to act as an appropriate and effective role model and promote culture and supporting practices that reflect the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment through demonstrated behaviours and interactions with patients, clients and employees.
The Enrolled Nurse without notation is to administer medications that are within their scope of practice.

An exciting opportunity exists for passionate and dedicated Enrolled Nurses to join our dynamic Medical Ward team as we prepare for a significant transformation. In October 2026, our ward will relocate to the brand-new 6 North Medical Unit within the new Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital redevelopment. This transition will see the future expansion of our current medical services to include a dedicated Respiratory specialty focus, providing staff with the opportunity to develop and enhance their clinical skills in the management of a diverse range of acute medical and respiratory conditions.
Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital is the main referral hospital for the Shoalhaven region, providing emergency care, medical, surgical, mental health and orthopaedic services. The hospital has an Intensive Care Unit focusing on ventilated, high dependency and coronary patients, Children’s Ward and Maternity Unit, as well as a purpose-built regional Cancer Care Centre.
The hospital is currently undergoing a significant $440M redevelopment that will redefine how healthcare is delivered within the Region. Once complete in 2026, the new seven-storey Acute Services Building and refurbishments on the current hospital site will bring a focus on career development. allowing you to grow your career, acquire new skills and advance professionally as the hospital continues to develop. Within this redevelopment, a purpose-designed Mental Health Inpatient Unit will open for the first time at Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital, providing local consumers with access to comprehensive inpatient mental health care closer to home. About the Role
The incumbent needs a very good understanding of Pathology Collections with several years’ experience. In addition they require an excellent understanding of processes and procedures and had practical experience of learning methodologies and how to conduct training courses either in a one-on-one, on the job, or classroom situation. He/she needs to have an understanding of presentation skills and technologies to deliver effective courses and course materials. To provide an extensive range of pathology investigations for all disciplines for inpatients, hospital outpatients and privately referred patients around the clock. Monash Pathology provides a pathology service to Monash Health with laboratories located at Casey Hospital, Dandenong Hospital, Moorabbin Hospital and Monash Medical Centre and network of collection centres throughout south-eastern Melbourne.

About the Department / Program

About the Role
Join our team as a Grade 1 Medical Scientist (RX1-RX7) on a full time ongoing basis, to work at Monash Medical Centre based at Clayton. In this role, you will be guided under the leadership of the Anatomical Principal Scientist and working with the broader histology team.
We have a fixed term maternity leave position 76hrs F/N + ADO running until October 2027.
The successful candidate will be required to participate in staff rotations, overtime and on call & out of hour rosters as directed. Operational hours of the laboratory are 05:00 - 21:00 Monday to Friday and 06:00 - 14:30 Saturday. You must be able to perform tests provided by the unit without supervision (following suitable training) which include:
-
Perform and assist with the specimen cut up;
-
Embed and section of biopsy material for diagnostic and necropsy specimens;
-
Prepare frozen sections for urgent diagnosis;
-
Perform routine, special staining and immunohistochemistry techniques using prescribed methodologies and appropriate control procedures;
-
Assist at renal biopsy procedure to insure appropriate tissue sampling;
-
Assist with a range of mortuary duties;
-
Other duties as directed.
About You
To be successful in this healthcare role, you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience, and attributes:

Experience in routine histology

Experience in specialised histology including surgical cut-up, special stains and immunohistochemistry

Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment

Bachelor degree from an AIMS (Australian Institute of Medical Science) course

The Team
Join a dedicated and supportive multidisciplinary stroke team at Launceston General Hospital, where patient-centred care, clinical excellence and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do. Our team provides evidence-based acute stroke care, working collaboratively with medical specialists, allied health professionals, patients and their families to achieve the best possible outcomes. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care, supporting early rehabilitation, patient education and discharge planning, while contributing to a culture of continuous learning, safety and innovation within one of Tasmania's leading healthcare services.
The Role
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Comprehensive assessment – Undertake stroke-specific neurological observations, validated swallow screening and ongoing nursing assessment in line with the Acute Stroke Clinical Care Standard and NMBA Registered Nurse Standards for Practice (Standard 4).
- Recognising and responding to acute deterioration – Identify, escalate and respond to clinical deterioration using ISBAR and local rapid response processes (NSQHS Standard 8).
- Medication safety – Safely administer and monitor high-risk medications including antithrombotics, anticoagulants and post-thrombolysis regimens (NSQHS Standard 4).
- Comprehensive care – Deliver evidence-based, individualised care that minimises the risk of pressure injuries, falls, VTE, delirium, malnutrition and aspiration (NSQHS Standard 5).
- Cultural safety – Provide culturally safe and respectful care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and CALD patients, engaging Aboriginal Health Liaison Officers and accredited interpreters, consistent with NSQHS Standards 1 and 2 and the NMBA Code of Conduct for Nurses.
- Communicating for safety – Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in structured bedside handover, adapting communication for patients with aphasia or cognitive-communication deficits (NSQHS Standard 6).
- Partnering with the multidisciplinary team and consumers – Contribute to MDT care planning, support early mobilisation and reinforce rehabilitation goals in partnership with patients, families and carers (NSQHS Standard 2; Acute Stroke Clinical Care Standard).
- Secondary prevention, education and discharge planning – Educate patients and carers on stroke risk factor modification and FAST recognition, and coordinate timely referral to rehabilitation and community services (Acute Stroke Clinical Care Standard; Clinical Guidelines for Stroke Management).
You will need
- Current knowledge of, and the ability to apply nursing principles, procedures and practices in the delivery of patient/client care in a designated practice area and in line with legal requirements and the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board (NMBA) Registered Nurse standards for practice.
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills, including written skills and the ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Knowledge of continuous quality improvement (safety and quality) and the application of evidence based practice in the practice setting.

Permanent full time, shift worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary

Position details
The Team
OHST is a team of approximately 300 people including dentists, oral health therapists, dental prosthetists, technicians, dental assistants and administrative staff. Care is provided from 33 clinics around Tasmania. Adult services are predominantly provided from 6 major dental centres located in Hobart (New Town), Clarence, Glenorchy, Launceston, Devonport and Burnie as well as the 3 Special Care Dental Units (located within hospital precincts). Child and Adolescent Services are provided predominantly from 23 community clinics which are either located in a community health centre or are a stand-alone clinic.
At Oral Health Services Tasmania, you will work across a multi-disciplinary work environment. The Role
Provide clinical dental services and associated administrative functions in line with Oral Health Service Tasmania’s (OHST) strategies, policies, and programs. This involves the provision of dental services (at general dental practitioner level) to concession card holders and children in accordance with current treatment guidelines and management policies.
You will need
- Sound knowledge of dentistry, including children’s dentistry, at the general dental practitioner level.
- A commitment to continuing professional education and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
- An up-to-date knowledge and appreciation of the principles of Public Health Dentistry and Minimal Intervention Dentistry with a commitment to improving the safety and quality of services.

The Role
Undertaking clinical services through the provision of complex case management, assessment, and individual therapies, including the development and implementation of specialised treatment programs for our new programs in either Youth Mental Health, Youth Forensic Mental Health and/or Out of Home Care.
Working alongside innovative managers, clinical leads and consultant psychiatrists to develop the new mental health services in Tasmania.
Working with an amazing and diverse group of clinicians as part of the collaborative multidisciplinary team, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required.
Applicants who have undertaken training in relevant and appropriate evidence-based therapeutic interventions that are developmentally appropriate such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Family Therapy and/or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) would be highly regarded.
You will:
- Undertake the delivery of quality care to clients of Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) based on best practice principles and within a collaborative and multi-disciplinary framework.
- Provide a specialist assessment and treatment service to clients of CYMHS and their families or carers.
- Promote community awareness in relation to mental health and acts as a consultant to other agencies with regard to the support and management of clients with mental health needs.

The Mental Health Short Stay Unit is a 6-bed ward at the Royal Hobart Hospital. This role is to work in the Mental Health Short Stay Unit and Royal Hobart Hospital Emergency Department as a Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist.
The Role
Join the Mental Health Short Stay Unit (MHSSU) and play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred mental health care within a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment. In this Clinical Nurse Specialist role, you are required to conduct primary mental health and risk assessments of patients requiring specialized mental health assessment presenting to Emergency Department.
In this advanced clinical role, you will contribute to improving outcomes for people presenting in crisis by conducting comprehensive assessments, supporting clinical decision-making, facilitating access to appropriate services, and ensuring safe and effective transitions of care.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist - Mental Health Short Stay Unit (MHSSU):
- Works in conjunction with unit staff, the MHSSU, the Royal Hobart Hospital Emergency Department (ED), Alcohol and Drug Services and Community Mental Health Services to deliver improved outcomes for MHSSU clients and individuals presenting to the ED with mental illness and requiring specialist assessment.
- Is a clinical expert who acts as a specialist resource for nursing, medical, and allied health staff involved in the management of patients with mental health concerns presenting to Emergency Department including those with concurrent alcohol or drug use issues.
You will need
- Strong clinical experience and expertise in mental health nursing, particularly within acute or crisis care settings.
- The ability to undertake comprehensive mental health assessments and contribute to care planning and clinical decision-making.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Confidence in providing clinical advice, education and support to colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
- Sound judgement, problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
- An understanding of contemporary mental health care, risk management principles and relevant legislation.
- The ability to work with a high degree of autonomy while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
- A passion for improving outcomes for people experiencing mental illness, addiction-related concerns and other complex presentations.

The Team
The North West Cancer Centre, Burnie,provides comprehensive specialist outpatient Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and Clinical Haematology Services to the North West Tasmanian Community.
- The NWCC is affiliated with the Northern Cancer Service with it situated in the North West Regional Hospital complex and provides direct access to a range of medical, surgical and hospital services required to deliver quality, person-centred cancer care.
The Role

We are seeking a motivated Clinical Coordinator to play a pivotal role in the day-to-day coordination of patient care within a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team. In this rewarding position, you will help lead patient flow, coordinate admissions and discharges, provide expert clinical guidance, and contribute to the delivery of safe, high-quality care for patients.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities while working alongside passionate healthcare professionals. You'll be supported by experienced nursing leaders and have opportunities to contribute to service improvement, quality initiatives, and the development of contemporary clinical practices.

You will need
- Demonstrated experience coordinating patient care, patient flow and discharge planning in a clinical setting.
- Proven ability to lead and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships and manage challenging situations effectively.
- Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to provide guidance, advice and support to nursing teams.
- Knowledge of safety, quality and contemporary healthcare practices within a clinical environment.
- The initiative, judgement and problem-solving skills required to coordinate services in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Details of appointment
Permanent, part time, day worker position, working up to 15.2 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary
$109,767 to $115,813 pro rata per annum + our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance withNurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
