This vacancy is maternity leave relief for an initial period of up to 18 weeks for 32 hours per week; the hours and period of employment may change according to the maternity leave requirements. There is also the possibility of an extension at same / reduced hours.

The Cardiac Inpatient Unit at the Children's Hospital at Westmead is a dynamic ward caring for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents with congenital, inherited and acquired heart disease. The provision of care extends from day catheter procedures to complex open heart surgeries, arrhythmias, transplantation and ventricular assist devices. Paediatric cardiac development opportunities are available to staff new to paediatrics and cardiology. A 12-hour flexible roster pattern is available for full and part-time staff

The Registered Nurse provides safe, compassionate, person-centred care to patients and families of Sydney Children's Hospital Network.
The Registered Nurse acts as a role model by demonstrating behaviour and interacting with patients, their families and employees in a way that promotes a culture and standards that reflect the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.

The Team:
The North West Regional Hospital- Intensive Care Unit are seeking dedicated and suitably experienced Critical Care Nurses to join the team and work in a Clinical Coach position.
ICU is a specialized area that requires skilled staff to care for critically unwell patients requiring organ support via ventilation, continuous renal replacement therapy and haemodynamic support. The Unit has a case mix of primarily adult patients but also cares for paediatric patients requiring ICU level support. A MET and Code Blue service is also provided to the NWRH and adjoining NWPH.
The Role:
The Clinical Coach is a senior clinical critical care nurse who combines clinical expertise with education and leadership skills to develop novice nurses in the critical care setting. The role focuses on clinical supervision, coaching, competency assessment, professional development, and promoting safe, evidence-based practice while working closely with the ICU Nurse Unit Manager and education team to build workforce capability and improve patient outcomes. The role will mainly entail an 'at the bedside educator and professional development lead' who helps transition novice and less experienced nurses into competent, confident clinicians while supporting service quality and workforce retention. Application of clinical knowledge, skills , problem solving and critical thinking will also be key to this role.

Working collaboratively with Visiting Medical Practitioners, employed doctors, nursing and allied health professionals, operational leaders, university academic staff and students, you will help integrate learning with clinical service delivery, patient safety, research and quality improvement initiatives.
You will oversee the delivery of high-quality clinical placements and learning experiences, provide leadership in curriculum implementation, student support, supervision and faculty development, and ensure alignment with university requirements and UnitingCare's Clinical Governance Framework.
Whilst the appointment is an academic rather than a clinical appointment, as the role is part-time, it supports the successful candidate continuing in clinical practice if desired.

The Children’s Short Stay Unit (CSSU) is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) to join our dynamic team and help shape the knowledge, confidence and capability of our nursing workforce. CSSU is a fast-paced and varied Paediatric environment caring for up to 32 patients in an inpatient setting. With a broad clinical caseload, no two days are the same. Our patients are predominantly admitted directly from the Emergency Department and generally have a length of stay of up to 72 hours. Our diverse presentations include respiratory conditions such as bronchiolitis, asthma, pneumonia and COVID, as well as common childhood illnesses including fever, poor feeding, UTIs, gastroenteritis, meningitis and seizures. This diversity provides the ideal environment for a CNE to support nurses to continually develop their paediatric assessment, clinical decision-making and acute care skills.
You will also be involved in planning and delivering education across the Network including Speciality Transitional Programs, New Graduate Programs and Mandatory Organisation training. This is a permanent full-time position of three 12-hour shifts per week, plus one 8-hour shift per four-week roster.
What you'll be doing
The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) will be responsible for the delivery and evaluation of clinical nursing education. The CNE will work in collaboration with the Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) and Nurse Educator (NE) and wider hospital team to develop and implement clinical education relevant to specialities and basic nursing competencies.
The CNE will work collaboratively to support clinical education to others outside the ward/ unit when required.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Social Worker to join our Women’s and Children’s Services team at Launceston General Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families through high‑quality, hands‑on clinical practice within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
In this senior clinical role, you will work with a high level of independence and professional autonomy, delivering specialist social work services to women, children, and families across hospital settings. You will assess complex psychosocial needs and provide timely, evidence‑based interventions to support positive health and wellbeing outcomes.
In addition, you will play a key role in the mentoring, support, and professional development of Level 1–2 Social Workers, providing guidance, clinical oversight, and reflective practice opportunities to support skill development, confidence, and high‑quality service delivery.

About the role
Provide senior-level assessment and management of patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders.
Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based treatment programs, including short and long-term goals for complex patients.
Provide clinical consultation and expert advice within the Speech Pathology discipline and broader multidisciplinary team.
Participate in ward rounds, case conferences, family meetings and patient review meetings.
