- Ability to contribute and motivate an effective team of clinicians and health professionals and others to achieve identified outcomes
- Experience in contributing to "best practice" approaches in clinical practice, clinical polices, systems and procedures

This role engages men to increase their readiness to participate in behaviour change programs, delivers one-on-one and group interventions, and provides secondary consultation to the Domestic and Family Violence team. Job Description About the RoleThe position of baringgurrak Facilitator works collaboratively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and community through case management of clients and facilitating the Therapeutic Day Rehabilitation (TDR).
The baringgurrak Facilitator will support the Wellbeing Program Manager in the day-to-day activities and operations including the creation and maintenance of a safe and culturally sensitive environment. They will work alongside consultants and other specialist staff, and lead group-based interventions and assist with the daily client activity schedule. The position will also function as a key worker to a case load of clients during the program.
Improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is the priority for BDAC. Within the context of a whole of organisation approach, this position will play a key role in working to our objectives.

The baringgurrak Facilitator will work with willing clients to provide a safe coordinated program where clients will feel supported throughout the treatment and follow up phase of the program.

- Conducts client assessments, plans care with clients and supports follow-through with regular review.
- Understands trauma, culture, family, and community impacts.

- Delivers individual and group work, including life skills, wellbeing, and family programs.

- Previous experience working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community members or in an Aboriginal organisation.
- A relevant tertiary qualification or experience in the social welfare related field and experience working in sector.

Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will undertake a range of responsibilities including:
- Provide professional, evidence-based primary health care to individuals, families and the community utilising a holistic and culturally acceptable approach.
- Practice according to KAMS endorsed guidelines (Kimberley Protocols, CARPA Standard Treatment Manual etc ), KAMS policies and procedures, and relevant legislation to meet health care outcomes.
- Provide professional, evidence-based primary health care to individuals, families and the community utilising a holistic and culturally acceptable approach.
