About the PositionWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Medical Officer to join our supportive healthcare team in Kununurra, Western Australia. This role is essential in providing comprehensive primary healthcare at our private GP clinic, with a focus on culturally safe, patient centred care.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality medical care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of various health conditions inclusive to developing individualised chronic condition care plans and various health assessments
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
- Work collaboratively with the Clinical Director in participating in Continuous Quality Improvements, Workforce development and learning, and the strategic alignment of the Wunan Health Framework
- Engage with the local community to promote health education and preventive care initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor GP Registrars and medical students as required.
Employment package up to $445,000 inclusive of an attractive salary plus a range of benefits, including provision of housing and vehicle, relocation assistance, flights and more!
Qualifications- 3 years post fellowship as a General Practitioner
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Understanding of Aboriginal health and culturally safe practice in cross-cultural settings

What you'll do:- Offer a tertiary-level echo service in a range of clinical settings throughout Victoria using a state-of-the-art portable US unit and CLOUD based technology.

- You have a post graduate qualification in the field of cardiac ultrasound and current registration with Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR).

About the RoleIn this contract opportunity until June 2028, lead transformational collaboration across the Maribyrnong Catchment, supporting Traditional Owners leadership and self determination and bringing together government agencies, local councils, community groups and industry partners to deliver meaningful environmental, social and community outcomes. The Maribyrnong Catchment is a complex and dynamic ecosystem that encompasses land, waterways, communities, culture and several layers of governance and is under severe pressure, making this a role with genuine purpose and impact.
As the Maribyrnong Catchment Collaboration Lead, you will be at the forefront of building partnerships, influencing strategic outcomes and driving collective action to address some of the region's key integrated catchment challenges. You'll have the opportunity to connect diverse stakeholders, align priorities and turn ambitious ideas into lasting results for the catchment and the communities that depend on it.
- Facilitate and coordinate the collaboration group, its governance, budget and co-delivery of the strategic plan
- Work with partners to advocate for the Maribyrnong catchment
- Build and sustain relationships with, and seek participation of, a diverse range of stakeholders across the catchment
- Assist coordination of catchment-wide projects and enable outcomes
- Work with Subject-Matter Experts to plan and act strategically for an integrated approach to catchment management
- Prepare monitoring, evaluation and communication of key issues, learnings and progress, the results of which may be provided to external groups
- Increase visibility of the Maribyrnong and its catchment
- Work closely with key strategic projects underway in the Maribyrnong catchment including the Maribyrnong Flood Mitigation study
- Lived experience or extensive understanding of First Peoples and their living culture
- Lived experience or understanding of natural resource / waterways management and/or integrated catchment management issues Lived or demonstrated experience in partnership development and working collaboratively with First Nation sovereign partners and a wide range of agency, community and other stakeholders
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in Traditional Owner partnerships within a natural resource and/or water/waterway management context.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, together with high level verbal and written communication skills in sensitive or complex circumstances.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to lead and manage projects, programs, people and resources to achieve a broad range of outcomes.

Working alongside Aboriginal people who were removed or separated from their families through past government policies and practices, you will provide culturally safe counselling, emotional support and therapeutic guidance throughout the family tracing and reunification journey.
This role provides an opportunity to walk alongside clients through the pre-reunion, reunion and post-reunion stages, supporting healing, connection to family, culture and community, and meaningful outcomes for Aboriginal communities across New South Wales.

ABOUT THE ROLEAs the Male Reunification Counsellor, you will provide professional counselling and therapeutic support to Aboriginal men and families who have been affected by removal, separation from family and the intergenerational impacts of past government policies and practices.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will support clients throughout the family tracing and reunification process, including preparation before a reunion, support during the reunion and follow-up counselling after the reunion. You will provide culturally safe and trauma informed counselling, facilitate appropriate referrals, advocate where appropriate and promote client's emotional, cultural and social wellbeing.
This role requires a high level of professionalism, emotional intelligence, cultural sensitivity and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients experiencing complex trauma, grief, loss and family separation.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide culturally safe, trauma-informed counselling and therapeutic support to Aboriginal clients and families.
Support clients affected by removal, separation from family, intergenerational trauma, grief, loss and disrupted family relationships.
Participate in the full reunification process, including pre-reunion preparation, support during reunions and post-reunion counselling.
Travel with clients to community locations throughout New South Wales and interstate where required as part of the reunification process.
Provide counselling relating to transgenerational grief, trauma, identity, family relationships and cultural reconnection.
Work Collaboratively with researchers, case workers and other Link-Up staff to plan and review reunification and healing support.
Maintain regular and appropriate contact with clients throughout their reunification journey.
Facilitates referrals to mental health, family support, alcohol and other drug, legal community and specialist services where required.
Build and maintain respectful relationships with clients, families, community organisations, Stolen Generations groups and services providers.
Participate in case management reviews to support culturally safe, ethical and clinically appropriate practice.
Maintain accurate, confidential and timely counselling notes and client records using organisational systems, including Foxtrot and Monday Board.
Participate in clinical supervision, professional development and continuous quality improvement activities.
Maintain Client confidentiality and comply with all Link-UP policies, procedures, ethical obligations and recordkeeping requirements.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
Relevant qualifications in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology or a related discipline. A minimum Diploma-Level qualification may be considered where supported by significant relevant experience and specialist trauma counselling skills.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the impact of past government policies on Aboriginal People, families and communities.
An understanding of the Stolen Generations, intergenerational trauma and the emotional and cultural complexities associated with family tracing and reunifications.
Strong counselling, communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to establish and maintain trusted professional therapeutic relationships.
Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

About the role
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred care to our Day Oncology Unitpatients in our Ivy Suite. Our Day Oncology Unitis a 24 chair/bed day treatment facility that specialises in a range of oncology and medical treatments. Our experienced team of oncology nurses and medical staff provide personalised care and support to each patient throughout their treatment journey. The IVY Suite is equipped with cutting-edge technology to ensure the highest standard of care for our patients. Compassionate, evidence-based care and clinical expertise in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Providing high-quality nursing care to oncology patients.
- Commitment to organisation’s service ethos through the provision of excellent Oncology service
- Act in accordance with the standards of behaviour outlined in the SJGHC Code of Conduct document.
- Maintain and develop clinical skills in order to care for patients appropriate to level of competence.
- Deliver a high standard of patient care utilizing appropriate resources cost effectively.
- Adhere to and support hospital policies, procedures and standards.
- Act as the patient’s advocate and facilitate the rights of individuals.
- Provide patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate.
- Participate in a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care through the continuum of care.
- Prioritise workload using resources effectively.
- Provide supervision to Enrolled Nurses, students and PCAs as required.
Your skills and experience
You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
To succeed you will have the ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development. Registered Nurses with minimum 2 years clinical and chemotherapy administration is preferred with Antineoplastic Drug Administration Course completed.
Above all, patients will be at the core of everything you do committing to and supporting our Mission and Values.

- Casual Rate: $52.30 to $67.24 per hour (inclusive of casual loading) plus 12% superannuation
