Experienced Mixed Veterinarian
Singleton & Branxton Veterinary Hospitals Hunter Valley, NSW
Singleton and Branxton Veterinary Hospitals are seeking an experienced mixed practice veterinarian to join our progressive and growing practice in the beautiful Hunter Valley.
We are a well-established mixed animal practice providing high-quality veterinary care across the Hunter Valley through our two connected hospitals. With the recent expansion of Singleton Veterinary Hospital through the addition of our Branxton clinic, we continue to grow our presence in the region while offering our team greater flexibility, case diversity, and professional development opportunities.
Located within the rapidly expanding Huntlee Estate, Branxton Veterinary Hospital complements our established Singleton hospital, with both clinics operating as one collaborative practice. Our veterinarians work together across both locations, sharing knowledge, support, resources, and clinical expertise.
We enjoy a diverse caseload with strong surgical exposure, including opportunities to further develop your skills in complex soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics if desired.
Why You'll Love the Hunter Valley
Singleton offers all the conveniences of a large regional town, with riverside living, wineries, cafés, heritage attractions, and easy access to outdoor recreation. Located just two hours from Sydney and under an hour from Newcastle, it provides the perfect balance between lifestyle and career.
Branxton, situated in the heart of wine country, offers access to some of Australia's best vineyards, restaurants, and scenic landscapes. Newcastle's beaches are just 45 minutes away, while Sydney is easily accessible in approximately 90 minutes.
About the Role
This position can be tailored to suit full-time or flexible part-time hours. It offers a rewarding and varied caseload, comprising 80% small animal and 20% large (beef/dairy, equine and hobby farms). We run a shared and sustainable afterhours roster, supported by our Vetriage service to filter calls and minimise unnecessary disturbances.
You will have access to purpose-built facilities and modern diagnostic equipment, including state-of-the-art MyLab ultrasound, digital radiography, orthopaedic equipment and IDEXX labs.
About You
We are looking for experienced veterinarian with a minimum of 3 years' experience who enjoys the diversity and challenges of mixed practice. You will:
- Be confident managing cases independently while working collaboratively within a team
- Have excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Enjoy both medical and surgical case work for both small and large animals
- Be motivated to continue building your clinical knowledge and surgical capabilities in regional practice
Whether your interests lie in medicine, surgery, large animals, orthopaedic skills or staff mentorship and leadership, you'll be supported by an experienced veterinary and nursing team committed to helping you thrive.
What We Offer
- Clinical support, mentorship from experienced colleagues and sustainable scheduling to ensure you take your breaks and leave work on time
- Competitive remuneration starting at $100,000-$160,000 + superannuation
- Highly lucrative afterhours earning potential upwards of $15-20,000 per annum

Remote GP Telehealth - Flexible Hours & Autonomy

Remote General Practitioner Telehealth Abby Health Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia
About this positionAbout Abby Health
Abby Health is Australia's busiest online clinic, built for the future of primary care.
Founded in 2023, Abby was established to address one of the most urgent issues in Australian healthcare: access. With one in three Australians now without a regular GP, we're reimagining how people access everyday care-without losing what makes care personal: long-term relationships and detailed patient histories.
We connect patients to licensed GPs and nurse practitioners through same-day, online first care-delivering high-quality treatment for everyday issues, from headaches to herpes, coughs to cramps, and everything in between. Behind the scenes, we use structured patient histories, smart intake tools, and streamlined workflows to make every consult feel more like self-care.
Our approach is guided by three core values:
Smart - Intelligent systems that surface what matters, when it matters
Beautiful - A thoughtful, intuitive experience for patients and clinicians alike
Caring - Human support, continuity of care, and relationships that last
We believe the future of primary care is affordable, same-day, and online first.
A system where most care is delivered remotely-supported by pre-diagnosis tools, wearables, alerts, and proactive follow-up. In-person visits become the exception, not the default. It's a smarter, safer, more efficient model-one that finally puts patients first.
And it's already happening.
Since launching, Abby has become one of the most trusted names in digital healthcare in Australia. We're used by hundreds of thousands of Australians, with a 4.7/5 average rating on Google and Trustpilot.
We're quality-first and purpose-driven. Whether you're a patient looking for better answers or a clinician looking for a better way to practise-Abby is here to make care better, for everyone.
Smart. Beautiful. Caring. That's the future we're building-for Australian primary care, and the people who rely on it.

All practitioners on Abby Health are fully licensed, Australian-based General Practitioners (GPs) with years of experience. They are trained in Telehealth and follow strict medical guidelines to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care. All of our patients receive the same level of medical expertise as they would in a traditional clinic.
How will you make an impact
At Abby Health, we care for a diverse range of patients, from young professionals managing their health on the go to rural Australians who struggle to access in-person care. Many of our patients don't have a regular GP, so they rely on Abby for trusted, ongoing support. Our team of clinicians have seen over 170,000 patients through over 500,000 consults in the past 12 months.
