About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior headspace clinician who can provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to young people aged 12-25 years, their families and supports.
This role requires a clinician who brings depth of practice, sound clinical judgement and confidence working at a senior level. The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced capability in assessment, engagement, treatment planning, risk formulation and therapeutic support within a youth-friendly, strengths-based and recovery-oriented framework. In addition to providing direct clinical care, the role will contribute to the development of clinical capability across the headspace team by supporting, guiding and mentoring early-career clinicians, modelling high-quality practice and contributing to a reflective, safe and collaborative clinical culture.
The role will support young people presenting with moderate mental health concerns, and at times more complex needs, through individual counselling, brief intervention, group-based programs and coordinated care in collaboration with the broader headspace multidisciplinary team.
Candidates with relevant qualifications in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Mental Health Nursing, Registered Nursing, Counselling or other recognised mental health disciplines are encouraged to apply. As Branch Manager, you will lead and support Ambulance Attendants, Patient Transport Officers, and our volunteers in Community Services, while overseeing the day-to-day operations across the branches. This role involves regular travel between branch locations to ensure consistent support, alignment, and operational effectiveness across all sites.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Lead and oversee multi-site operations, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with organisational standards and community expectations
- Provide strong people leadership, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, engagement and development of our operation teams
- Ensure compliance and risk management, maintaining adherence to WHS/OHS, governance, regulatory requirements and effective incident management processes
- Manage resources and operational performance, including operational workforce planning, asset utilisation, budgets and continuous improvement initiatives
- Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships, working collaboratively with local health services, community partners and RFDS teams while providing clear reporting to the Regional Manager
- Proven leadership and operational management experience in a complex, fast-paced environment, with the ability to oversee multi-site operations; experience in healthcare, emergency services or a community-focused organisation is advantageous but not essential
- Strong people leadership capability, with demonstrated experience in recruitment, team development, employee engagement and performance management
- Sound understanding of governance, compliance and WHS/OHS, with the ability to manage operational risk, incidents and continuous improvement effectively
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Management, Health Administration, Community Services or a related field, with relevant workplace safety certifications (e.g., Fire Warden, First Aid) or willingness to obtain
- Role-specific requirements, including residence within commuting distance of the nominated branch locations, the ability to work on site across those locations, a current Australian driver's licence, willingness to travel, right to work in Australia, and completion of, or willingness to complete, required checks (e.g. National Police Check, WWCC)
