The RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for a grade 2 Occupational Therapist to join the large and supportive team at Alfred Care Group. The successful candidate will commence the within the contemporary home based model of care service, 'Better At Home' service providing intensive inpatient-level multi-disciplinary rehabilitation in their home environment. There is further opportunity to work across other areas of the subacute service including inpatient wards within this fixed term role.
The successful candidate will have a key role in delivering high quality evidence based rehabilitation including functional cognitive retraining, assessment for NDIS planning, prescription and implementation of aids equipment, and complex discharge planning to optimise safety and independence at home. Grade 2 clinicians have an important role in leading various teaching/training and quality improvement activities across the Occupational Therapy Service, and will be responsible for the supervision and mentoring of junior Occupational Therapy staff, Allied Health Assistants and/or undergraduate students. They will be well supported by an experienced Grade 3 senior Occupational Therapist including regular supervision and access to professional development opportunities.
Skills and Experience Required- A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in occupational therapy
- Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, and eligibility for OTA membership
- Clinical experience and knowledge of client-centred, occupational service delivery in an subacute setting
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and modify service delivery in accordance with evidence-based practice
- Experience working within an interdisciplinary team with strong interpersonal skills

What You'll Be Doing Working within a multidisciplinary primary health care setting, you will provide evidence-informed occupational therapy assessment and intervention for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families across the northern Adelaide metro region.
