What you'll be doing

About the role

About the role
- Provide expert clinical advice and specialist care coordination for patients with complex chronic pain needs, working collaboratively with patients, carers and multidisciplinary teams.
- Lead triage, referral management and patient flow, acting as the primary point of contact for the Chronic Pain Service.
- Coordinate and participate in outreach services to improve access to specialist pain care for rural, vulnerable and Aboriginal communities.
- Provide clinical leadership through service governance, quality improvement, research and evidence-based practice, supporting the ongoing development of the Chronic Pain Service.
- Contribute to education, workforce development and strategic and operational planning to enhance the delivery and sustainability of specialist pain services.
About you
- Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency
- Minimum 5 years full-time equivalent post registration experience
- Approved post registration nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field in which he/she/they are appointed, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within the interdisciplinary team using effective communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a registered nurse
- Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment

Our significant cardiac expansion is now open, bringing together a state-of-the-art Cardiac Hybrid Theatre, expanded Cardiac Investigations Unit and dedicated 12-bed Cardiology Ward. These contemporary facilities are increasing access to specialist cardiac care locally and allowing more Central Queenslanders to receive the investigations, procedures and treatment they need closer to home.
The Cardiac Investigations Unit delivers a broad range of diagnostic services including echocardiography, exercise and dobutamine stress echocardiography, transoesophageal echocardiography, exercise stress testing, tilt table testing and ambulatory ECG and blood pressure monitoring.
You'll join a growing multidisciplinary team of Cardiac Physiologists, Cardiologists, Nursing, Administration and other health professionals, with opportunities to work across an expanding range of diagnostic and interventional cardiac services, develop advanced skills and contribute to the ongoing growth of cardiac care in Central Queensland.
About the roleYou will:
- Deliver General and Interventional Cardiology across the Coronary Care Unit, Cardiology Ward, outpatient clinics and Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory.
- Play an important role in the commencement and establishment of Rockhampton Hospital's new Interventional Cardiology service.
- Help shape Models of Care, clinical pathways and the future development of interventional capability across the region.
- Contribute to clinical leadership, governance, quality improvement and service development.
- Participate in teaching, supervision and professional development of registrars, junior medical staff and Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory staff.
- Work across a broad regional referral service as Rockhampton Hospital develops as a regional cardiac centre of excellence and major referral hub for Central Queensland.
We are seeking a Specialist Cardiologist with contemporary Interventional Cardiology experience, including current PCI practice and participation in primary PCI services, together with strong General Cardiology capability.
Importantly, we are looking for someone who wants to contribute beyond the procedural role - a specialist who is excited by the opportunity to help establish a new service from its commencement, develop capability and influence the future of specialist cardiac care for the region.

What we offerTotal remuneration value of up to $564,939 p.a. is comprised of:
- Salary rate between $266,839 - $282,912 p.a. (L25-L27)

- Lead the strategic planning, growth and operational management of the Oncology Clinical Trial Unit.
- Manage and develop a high-performing clinical trials workforce through leadership, mentoring and training.
- Oversee the delivery of a large and complex clinical trial portfolio, ensuring compliance with protocols, Good Clinical Practice and regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with investigators, sponsors, regulatory bodies and key stakeholders.
- Drive quality improvement, risk management, performance reporting and service excellence across the unit.
Lead a high-performing oncology clinical trials program and help advance innovative cancer treatments that improve patient outcomes. Use your leadership and research expertise to make a meaningful impact across patients, staff and the wider health system.
Requirements- Relevant health related qualification and/or experience in the field of medical oncology clinical research and clinical trials.
- Extensive experience running clinical trials at site (public or private hospital).
- Demonstrated excellent leadership skills either as a line manager or as a mentor/trainer to Clinical Trial Coordinator role.
- Experience working in, or dealing with, sponsors and industry.
- Previous experience in clinical trial audits either Sponsor lead or regulatory body audits (for cause audits also acceptable).
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, such as negotiation and report writing applicable in both a research and administrative context.
- Demonstrated understanding of the legislation, codes and guidelines relevant to clinical and research ethics, and the NHMRC National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research, relevant privacy acts and guidelines, the Human Tissue Act, and the Therapeutic Goods Act as it relates to use of medications in human research.
- Proven highly developed delegation skills and staff coaching skills.

Drug Health Services (DHS) aim to reduce the harms associated with substance use for individuals, families and communities and to prevent drug misuse. A key role of the position is to develop and lead a community strategy to address drug and alcohol harms and public amenity issues, and to develop and lead a staff engagement strategy to promote and support workplace culture. The position is a key support for the DHS Executive, and responsible for overseeing projects and tasks accurately and within prescribed timeframes to support the DHS Executive and service teams. The position is responsible to manage two project officers and two library staff.

The Senior/Project Manager is primarily responsible for the planning and management of all contracted responsibilities for assigned projects. Act as primary contact between Novotech and client. Leads and oversees the execution of clinical projects in accordance with local regulation, ICH GCP guidelines, Novotech/client SOPs and the Project Agreement to deliver the project on time and to budget. Project Manager is responsible for the overall project deliverables, leading the internal team and the financial performance of the project.
Project Managers are expected to have a solid understanding of the drug development and clinical trial process, the role and workings of a Clinical Research Organisation (CRO), ICH GCP, international and local regulatory requirements.
PMs are expected to contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities: Project Management- Determine project feasibility, considering the needs of the sponsor as required to assist Business Development.
- Actively provide guidance and review scope of work, responsibilities, timelines and quality of deliverables.
- Understand the requirements of the Project Agreement and ensure Novotech performs these services to the required standards. Understand the inherent risks of the project and collaborate with management to ensure appropriate contingencies are initiated.
- Ensure set up and maintenance of operational project plans, timelines & study tracking tools (such as CTMS), and eTMF, as required.
- Work with the Vendor Manager to assess, appoint and manage study vendors to ensure the study is adequately supported, e.g. central laboratory, drug distributors, IRT providers.
- Manage the study budget and revenue according to the Master Services Agreement and Project Agreement.
- Adjust ongoing revenue forecasts based on study progress.
- Ensure the project meets the realisation and profitability target.
- Communicate to management any changes in the study procedures/progress which significantly impact on revenue.
- Ensure changes in scope are recognised by the client and change orders are initiated and prepared in collaboration with Business Development ahead of work commencing.
- Selection and management of investigational sites in order to meet client objectives and timelines. Specific duties include:
- Identify and evaluate investigational sites according to study requirements.
- In collaboration with the Novotech Clinical Operations and Regulatory Teams, ensure high quality ethics & regulatory submissions are made and approval obtained accordingly to meet study timelines for study set up.
- Manage study logistics to ensure that all sites maintain adequate supplies to perform the study.
- Actively manage subject recruitment to meet study targets. Take action to activate and encourage recruitment and retention. Promptly investigate poorly recruiting or retaining sites and propose strategies to improve site performance to management & client. The Project Manager is responsible for instigating recruitment initiative should recruitment be delayed.
- Review visit reports, and ensure the trial is being conducted according to the protocol, GCP & regulatory requirements and to ensure consistency of training, monitoring and study procedures across sites. Ensure all site issues are appropriately addressed and escalated where necessary.
- Work with Data Management (client or Novotech) to coordinate clinical and data management activities to meet study objectives.
- Work with Pharmacovigilance (client or Novotech) to coordinate safety management activities to meet study objectives. Project Manager may be responsible coordinating the Safety Review Committee (SRC), per the project scope.
- Ensure set up and maintenance of (e) TMF and in-house site files as per the SOPs. Ensure essential documents for site activation are reviewed and approved as required by the client and Novotech SOPs prior to IP release. Ensure ongoing maintenance of the (e) TMF throughout the study.
- Ensure adherence to Company policies, SOPs and procedures and be quality minded in performance of duties.
- Assist in the review and development of SOPs and processes. Identify areas of inefficiency in process and make recommendations to management for improvements.
- Participate in activities of the project management group, as required.
- As requested, and in collaboration with the Business Development (BD) group coordinate feasibility information gathering.
- Identify and highlight opportunities within own projects to expand business collaborations.
- The Project Manager may be asked to participate in Bid Defence Meetings.
- Understand the responsibilities of Novotech as a service provider in the pharmaceutical industry and ensure all communications with external parties and performance of the study team, presents a positive professional image of the company.
- Represent Novotech at industry forums (conferences, professional association, committee work, international investigator meetings).
- Graduate in a clinical or life sciences related field.
- Relevant experience/qualifications in allied professions may also be considered.
- At least 5 years' experience within the clinical research industry and previous project management experience, including Associate Project Manager or equivalent.
- CRO experience is advantageous.

Purpose of the PositionThe position of Staff Specialist Northern Beaches Community Mental Health Services, works within a multi-disciplinary team using a recovery orientated approach to support the timely clinical assessment, review, management, treatment and discharge planning to support the delivery of a high quality, safe, and evidence based mental health services for adult and older people residing in the Northern Beaches local government area.
You will provide clinical management and treatment of patients under your care in a Northern Sydney Local Health District facility or service. This care will be provided within the scope of clinical practice endorsed by the NSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee.
The position will provide clinical consultation services within NSLHD and will contribute to the teaching and training of medical students, graduates and other health care professionals and to research, evaluation and quality improvement activities within NSLHD.
Selection Criteria- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants must have Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Psychiatrist and/or overseas trained substantial specialist pathways. Applicants expecting to be awarded their FRANZCP within 3 months may be considered.

About the roleReporting to the Nugel Senior Program Manager, the Nugel Team Leader, will play a key leadership role in working with Aboriginal children and families, and Government and sector partners to strive for better outcomes for children and to build the capacity of families so that children can remain at home safely, or can be transitioned home.
Nugel implements Section 18 of the Child Youth and Families Act (CYFA) which transfers responsibility for decision making and direct work with Aboriginal children and their families from Department of Families Fairness and Housing (DFFH) Child Protection to VACCA. Key to transforming the way child protection is delivered, is implementing Nugel's unique practice approach which is based on Cultural Therapeutic Ways; a whole of agency approach that places culture at the centre and integrates this with theories of self-determination and trauma. The Team Leader is central to ensuring that this approach is delivered by staff they manage.
The Team Leader will provide supervision and leadership to a team of Case Managers, ensuring that all practice requirements are met. This includes investigation, assessment and action needed to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children in the program, in addition to developing case plans that meet the long-term needs of the child. Always ensuring staff practice in culturally safe ways in line with the Nugel Practice Approach and VACCA's Cultural Therapeutic Ways. In addition, they may be required to carry a small caseload.

- Demonstrates emotional intelligence, self-care, flexibility in work hours (including on-call), and encourages a culture of learning and professional growth.

What you'll be doing
The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) will manage a unit or ward in order to provide a quality standard of care to NSLHD Patients.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Registered Nurse-Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) and relevant management tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience within mental health, or combination of study and work experience; and demonstrated commitment to professional development.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and support clinical teams. Providing mentorship, performance management abilities, and professional development opportunities to build a skilled, resilient and capable mental health nursing workforce.
- Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in change management and initiating a new service delivery model within an established service.
- Evidence of and commitment to patient/customer focussed care, clinical governance and quality improvement. Driving continuous improvement, monitoring standards of care, and ensuring compliance with NSW Health policies and accreditation requirement
