Your opportunity Reporting to the Senior Professional Services Hub Manager, you'll work across Anglicare and with external organisations to create safe, engaging and dynamic learning experiences. You'll combine your clinical or human services background with strong facilitation skills to design training packages and group programs that increase understanding, empathy and knowledge while building individual and community capacity. You'll also build relationships with stakeholders across schools, government, community organisations and businesses, identifying opportunities to expand the reach and impact of Anglicare's training and group work services.
With integrity and resilience, you will:- Design and facilitate engaging accredited and non-accredited training, psychoeducational and therapeutic group programs.
- Deliver programs across areas including mental health, wellbeing, domestic violence, parenting, child development and child safety.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and identify opportunities for new training and group programs.
- Monitor participant feedback and evaluate programs to continually strengthen quality, consistency and impact.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure training and group work meets organisational, legislative and funding requirements.
You're an engaging and confident facilitator who knows how to create a learning environment where people feel safe to participate, reflect and grow. You bring professional knowledge in counselling, psychology, social work or a related discipline, together with the ability to translate complex and sensitive topics into practical, meaningful learning experiences. You're equally comfortable facilitating a group, designing a new program, building stakeholder relationships and working independently to deliver agreed outcomes. You also share our organisational values of integrity, justice, compassion and excellence, embedding them in everything you do.
What's required:- Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or a related discipline, with registration with the relevant professional body.
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or at least five years' training experience in a similar role.
- At least three years' demonstrated experience designing and delivering accredited and non-accredited training and group programs.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating programs across areas such as domestic violence, suicide prevention, mental health or child safety.
- Current unrestricted Driver's Licence and ability to meet required probity checks, including Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
- Experience delivering men's behaviour change programs.
- Experience designing psychoeducational or therapeutic group programs.
- Experience working with stakeholders across schools, government, community services or business environments.

Key to transforming the way child protection is delivered, is implementing Nugel's unique practice approach which is based on Cultural Therapeutic Ways; a whole of agency approach that places culture at the centre and integrates this with theories of self-determination and trauma. The Team Leader is central to ensuring that this approach is delivered by staff they manage.
The Team Leader will provide supervision and leadership to a team of Case Managers, ensuring that all practice requirements are met. This includes investigation, assessment and action needed to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children in the program, in addition to developing case plans that meet the long-term needs of the child. Always ensuring staff practice in culturally safe ways in line with the Nugel Practice Approach and VACCA's Cultural Therapeutic Ways. In addition, they may be required to carry a small caseload.

- Displays deep understanding and respect for Aboriginal cultures, with a commitment to ongoing learning and awareness of key issues affecting Aboriginal communities.
- Skilled in overseeing harm investigations, interviewing involved parties, managing children on protection orders, and supporting staff in court-related work, including report preparation and testimony.
- Understanding of the legislations, policy and practice requirements relating to Aboriginal children, families, and communities.
- Leads complex casework involving trauma-affected children, using culturally safe and therapeutic approaches to support healing and building resilience.
- Capable of guiding and mentoring staff in understanding child development, trauma, and attachment, especially in the context of Aboriginal children.
- High-level written, computer, and administrative skills, with the ability to prepare, review, and maintain accurate reports and client records.
- Demonstrates emotional intelligence, self-care, flexibility in work hours (including on-call), and encourages a culture of learning and professional growth.
- Demonstrates strong teamwork in high-pressure environments, mentors' staff, and team wellbeing
A recognised Social Work degree or a similar welfare or behavioural related degree, valid Police Check, a Victorian Working with Children's Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and aVictorian Driver Licence.Current COVID-19 vaccination(Strongly Recommended).
