About the role
The Research Coordinator, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) is responsible for initiating, planning and managing complex research programs, projects and services that inform and support the development, evaluation and promulgation of evidence-based care for mental health distress for infants, children, young people and their families in South Australia.
Key duties of the role
- Develop, implement and monitor outcome measures for CAMHS programs and services in collaboration with consumers, carers and clinicians across South Australia.
- Coordinate research governance, budgets and reporting, including evidence-based reports, literature reviews and needs analyses.
- Provide professional advice to relevant committees and planning bodies within SA Health/WCHN portfolios, the public sector, and State and National forums as required.
- Lead the planning, development and promotion of information systems that support agencies to integrate outcomes measurement with local practice and to monitor effectiveness, cost-effectiveness and continuous improvement.
- Maintain a clinical caseload and provide clinical consultation and/or service commensurate with management and research responsibilities.
Skills and Experience
- Appropriate degree in Master's Degree in Psychology or equivalent qualification recognised by the PsyBA and general registration with PsyBA and an endorsed area of practice in Clinical.
- Hold approved supervisor status with the PsyBA at all levels of supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to work within trauma informed principles, and engage, collaborate and co-work with mental health consumers and carers, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people from diverse background.
- Proven experience utilising a range of databases, tools, technologies and processes to undertake qualitative and quantitative research and analysis and deliver meaningful insights within a health services environment.
- Demonstrated experience in leading, managing and guiding multi-disciplinary teams and initiating, planning and delivering complex, concurrent projects that achieve agency objectives, including preparing and reporting on budgets and findings within organisational and grant requirements.

Role Brief:

Our ANZ Connected Care Programs deliver insurer-funded mental health and chronic disease support to people right across Australia. We're growing, and we're bringing health coaching in house.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver structured, time-limited health coaching by video and telephone across our mental health and chronic disease programs
- Complete baseline and completion clinical assessments, screen for risk, and elevate confidently when a participant needs more
- Work with people managing depression, anxiety, cardiac and metabolic conditions, persistent pain, and the psychological weight of long-term illness
- Write end-of-program reports for referrers and treating teams that are clear and useful
- Contribute to a genuine multidisciplinary team and to how these programs are designed as they scale
Requirements:
- You hold general registration as a psychologist with AHPRA, with a Master's or Doctorate in clinical, counselling or health psychology
- You have at least five years post-full-registration clinical experience, including coaching
- You have genuinely practised health coaching under a recognised coaching model - not therapy with a coaching label
- You understand how physical illness and mental health shape each other
- You're excellent remotely, organised on paper, and generous in a team
- You are living in Australia with the right to work here
Desirable:
- An ICF credential or equivalent coaching psychology qualification
- Experience supporting people whose physical health concerns affect their wellbeing, including chronic disease
- Five or more years in psycho-oncology, which opens up work in our Cancer Support stream

The RoleThe Registered Nurse or Midwife - Clinical Coach:
- Supports and works collaboratively with less experienced members of the healthcare team and participates in orientation, precepting, clinical teaching, overseeing learning experiences, and goal setting for nursing and midwifery novices.
- Is responsible for the clinical supervision, coaching and assessment of nursing and midwifery novices in the clinical environment. The position works within the Older Person's Acute Care setting supervising, assessing and guiding cohorts of novices in achieving clinical practice competence and specified clinical and service operational goals in line with the broader education and professional development service/unit level plan.
- Current knowledge of, and the ability to apply nursing/midwifery principles, procedures, and evidence-based practices in the delivery of patient/client care in a relevant clinical setting and in line with legal requirements, the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA), Registered Nurse or Midwife Standards for Practice and other relevant professional standards.
- Demonstrated ability to use clinical coaching principles to support professional and clinical development of novice nurses and midwives.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership to support the nursing or midwifery management team, and to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
