In this role, you will provide comprehensive on-site and after-hours obstetric and gynaecology services across both inpatient and outpatient settings. You will also play a key role in supporting local General Practitioners Obstetricians and supervising junior medical staff (including HMOs and senior registrars), and contributing to clinical governance through audits and quality improvement activities.
A significant component of the position includes teaching and supporting medical students through the Monash Gippsland Regional Clinical School, contributing to the development of the future rural medical workforce.
Required skills and experience include- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG)
- Specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Experienced in delivering comprehensive antenatal, perinatal and postnatal care, including ultrasound, with the ability to collaborate effectively with GP obstetricians and multidisciplinary teams.

Do your skills include:
- Demonstrated understanding of the theoretical frameworks underpinning family violence, including gendered and feminist analysis, human rights, social justice, and the impacts of trauma on women, children and families.
- Proven ability to deliver trauma informed intervention and therapeutic support for wome n and children victim survivors, and young people who use violence, with a strong understanding of child developmental needs, complex trauma, and the challenges clients expe ri ence during periods of relationship change.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Family Violence Service System, MARAM risk assessment and safety planning, relevant legislation and information sharing schemes, case management practice, and the ability to apply policy and procedures in complex practice environments.
- Experience working with women, children and young people during periods of relationship change (new relationships, pregnancy, separation, divorce, retirement) and the ability to build rapport with diverse client groups, including those who may be difficult to engage.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to support complex decision making, facilitate a collaborative team approach and maintain effective relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities

About You
- Registered Nurse or Paramedic with current AHPRA registration.

- Previous clinical leadership, management, or supervisory experience desirable. (ANUM/ Clinical Coordinators encouraged to apply).
- Triage experience is highly regarded.
- Strong communication, clinical knowledge, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills.

We are searching for a dedicated and experienced General Physician to join the collaborative and well-established team in Taree. This role is split between 0.5FTE General Medicine allowing you to provide services to inpatients on the admitting general wards, ICU, HDU and Emergency Department patients; and 0.5FTE with subspeciality availability in Geriatrics, Cardiology, Endocrine, Infectious Disease, Neurology or Gastroenterology.

As part of their responsibilities, the SRBA provides supervision to selected school and regional staff who are pursuing Certified Behaviour Analyst (CBA) accreditation with the Association for Behaviour Analysis Australia (ABAA). As per the ABAA guidelines, as a supervisor you will be a CBA, Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Behaviour Analyst - Doctoral (BCBA-D) in good standing and must also meet ongoing continuing professional development (CPD) requirements to maintain registration and the ability to provide supervision. The role will also involve providing direct behavioural assessment and intervention for individual students. The direct work will involve coaching regional and school teams to use behavioural science to respond to students withbehaviours of concern. These positions are a core feature of the department's approach to multi-tiered intervention and will contribute to establishing capability of school and region-based staff to effectively and efficiently respond to the needs of students with behaviours of concern. Prince of Wales Hospital and Community Health Service is a Level 6 Tertiary Referral Hospital with an inpatient bed base of 370. Each year we care for more than 70,000 patients in our Emergency Department and have around 50,000 admissions to the inpatient units. POWH offers an outpatient service and rural outreach service and provides more than 900,000 occasions of non-admitted patient care each year, including innovative virtual models of care. We have transitioned the majority of inpatient units and wards to the Acute Services Building (ASB) including a state of the art Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit.
