Transform lives, every single day
Do you want a career that means more? At Anglicare Sydney, we bring the strength, the support and the strategy to make it happen.
We're a well-respected not-for-profit that's been serving society's most vulnerable for over 170 years. Each year, we achieve life-changing outcomes for the thousands of people who rely on our person-centred support. And now, we're extending our reach and impact even further.
As our Support Worker – Service Hub Administrator, you'll play an important role in supporting the delivery of professional counselling, wellbeing and support services to individuals, families and communities.
From responding to client enquiries and supporting intake assessments to coordinating appointments, maintaining records and assisting with program administration, you'll help ensure people can access the services and support they need.
Be welcomed into a compassionate, respectful and purpose-driven community where we don't just talk about values – we live them.
Your opportunity
Working within our Professional Services Hub, part of Anglicare's Relationships & Wellbeing team, you'll provide day-to-day client service and administrative support across a range of programs.
These include counselling, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services, clinical supervision, the Clergy Assistance Program, school-based programs, professional training and funded services.
Reporting to the Professional Services Hub Coordinator, you'll be part of a collaborative team responsible for ensuring enquiries, intake processes, service administration and operational activities are managed efficiently and professionally.
This is a varied role that combines frontline client support with administrative coordination, making it ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, staying organised and contributing to the smooth delivery of essential community services.
With integrity and compassion, you will:
- Provide welcoming, professional and compassionate support to clients and stakeholders through telephone, email, online and face-to-face enquiries, including completing intake assessments and providing information about appropriate services.
- Coordinate day-to-day service administration, including scheduling, document preparation, data entry, invoicing, billing, record keeping and routine financial processes.
- Maintain accurate client and program records, databases, registers and documentation while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with organisational procedures.
- Support the coordination of professional training, meetings and events, including bookings, resource preparation, attendance records, evaluations and follow-up administration.
- Work collaboratively with the Professional Services Hub and wider Relationships & Wellbeing team to support service reporting, continuous improvement and positive client experiences.
What you'll bring
You're a compassionate, organised and service-focused professional who enjoys helping people and keeping things running smoothly.
You understand that behind every enquiry is a person who may be seeking support during a challenging time, and you bring patience, empathy and professionalism to every interaction.
You'll be confident managing competing priorities, working with administrative systems and maintaining accurate records while delivering a positive client experience.
Importantly, you'll demonstrate discretion and sound judgement when handling sensitive information, knowing when to resolve routine matters and when to seek guidance or escalate more complex enquiries.
What's required
- A Certificate III or IV in Business Administration, or equivalent relevant experience.
- At least two years' experience in administration, business support, customer service or service administration.
- Demonstrated ability to provide professional client support, respond to enquiries and manage administrative processes in a busy service environment.
- Strong organisational, written communication and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence using databases and administrative systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, confidentiality and time management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and manage competing priorities.
You'll also need a current unrestricted driver's licence and willingness to travel between sites as required.
The successful candidate will be required to hold or obtain a Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
What's preferred
- Experience working in community services, counselling, mental health, wellbeing or a similar client-focused environment.
- Experience providing administrative support within a multidisciplinary or professional services team.
- Familiarity with client intake processes, appointment scheduling, invoicing and service databases.
- Experience supporting training events, stakeholder meetings or professional development activities.
- Understanding of funded service delivery, compliance requirements and program reporting.
You'll also share our organisational values of integrity, justice, compassion and excellence, embedding them in everything you do.
Why Anglicare?

Transform lives, every single day
Do you want a career that means more? At Anglicare Sydney, we bring the strength, the support and the strategy to make it happen.
We're a well-respected not-for-profit that's been serving society's most vulnerable for over 170 years. Each year, we achieve life-changing outcomes for thousands of people who rely on our person-centred support. And now, we're extending our reach and impact even further.
As our Case Manager – Foster Care, you'll play an important role in supporting children and young people in out-of-home care, helping them experience safety, stability and a sense of belonging.
Based on the Central Coast or in Newcastle? This could be the opportunity you've been looking for.
This is a predominantly remote position, offering the flexibility to work from home while remaining connected to a supportive and experienced Foster Care team. You'll only be required to attend our Telopea office once per month as a minimum, with additional attendance when necessary for training, meetings or operational requirements.
You'll combine the flexibility of home-based work with meaningful face-to-face engagement with children, foster carers, birth families and local services.
Be welcomed into a compassionate, respectful and purpose-driven community where we don't just talk about values – we live them.
Your opportunity
Working within Anglicare's Foster Care service and reporting to the Foster Care Team Leader, you'll provide high-quality, child-centred case management to children and young people in out-of-home care.
You'll work closely with foster carers, birth families, the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) and other service providers to ensure each child's safety, wellbeing, cultural identity and permanency needs are supported.
You'll also contribute to family restoration and other permanency pathways, helping children and families work towards safe, sustainable outcomes.
While you'll enjoy the autonomy of working remotely, you'll remain connected to our broader Foster Care team through regular supervision, collaboration and professional development.
Your working arrangements
This position is designed for someone living on the Central Coast or in Newcastle, who can work independently from home and undertake regular community-based visits.
You'll be required to attend our Telopea office at least one day per month, with additional attendance where required for training, case reviews, supervision or operational needs.
Regular travel across the Central Coast and, when required, other locations within NSW is an inherent part of the role.
With integrity and compassion, you will:
- Manage foster care placements, coordinating assessments, case plans, reviews and interventions to support children's safety, wellbeing and placement stability.
- Build positive relationships with children, young people, foster carers and birth families, providing guidance and practical support while monitoring placement needs and risks.
- Contribute to family restoration and permanency planning, working collaboratively with families, DCJ and relevant services to achieve safe and sustainable outcomes.
- Facilitate and monitor family time, assess children's safety and wellbeing, and prepare accurate, professional case notes, assessments and reports.
- Work autonomously across the Central Coast and surrounding service areas while maintaining strong communication, compliance and collaboration with the broader Foster Care team.
What you'll bring
You're a compassionate, organised and resilient Case Manager who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people in out-of-home care.
You understand the complexities of child protection and foster care and bring the ability to build trusted relationships with children, carers, birth families and other stakeholders.
You'll have strong assessment and case planning skills, sound professional judgement and the confidence to respond effectively to complex or high-risk situations.
Importantly, you're someone who thrives with autonomy. You can manage your workload, prioritise competing demands and remain accountable while working remotely and independently in the community.
What's required
- A degree in Social Work, Psychology, Welfare or Community Services.
- Demonstrated case management experience in child protection, out-of-home care, family support, permanency or a related field.
- Sound knowledge of NSW child protection legislation, OOHC practices, family restoration and permanency planning.
- Strong assessment, case planning and professional report-writing skills, with the ability to work independently and maintain accurate client records.
- An unrestricted NSW Driver's Licence, willingness to travel regularly and the ability to attend the Telopea office at least once per month.
The successful candidate will also be required to satisfy relevant pre-employment checks, including a Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
What's preferred
- Experience supporting foster carers and managing complex foster care placements.
- Experience undertaking family restoration work and collaborating with DCJ.
- Knowledge of local services and community networks across the Central Coast and Newcastle.
- Experience working remotely or independently in a community-based service.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
You'll also share our organisational values of integrity, justice, compassion and excellence, embedding them in everything you do.
Why Anglicare?
We provide meaningful opportunities and choice, both for the individuals and communities we support and the dedicated people here who make it happen.
At Anglicare, you'll get the security, stability and opportunities that come with a strong, well-established organisation that's ready for the future.
