Our 307-bed public hospital is operated under a public-private partnership between the State Government and St John of God Health Care.
Our Services include wide range of public health care services for people in Midland and surrounding communities. Our services include 24-hour emergency care, public maternity care, Aboriginal pregnancy and maternity support through Moort Boojari Mia, acute mental health treatment and medical and surgical care.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse - Colorectal to join our team at St John of God Midland Public Hospital on a permanent part-time basis, working 15.2 hours per week.
Working within a multidisciplinary environment across aged care, medical and rehabilitation services, you will provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care to patients with a range of complex and chronic health conditions. You will play an important role in supporting patients throughout their recovery, rehabilitation and ongoing care journey, promoting independence, dignity, safety and quality of life.
This is an opportunity to work collaboratively with nursing, medical and allied health teams where your clinical expertise, communication skills and commitment to person-centred care will contribute to positive outcomes for patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality and evidence-based nursing care to patients across aged care, medical and rehabilitation settings.
- Undertake comprehensive clinical assessments and develop, implement and evaluate individualised care plans in collaboration with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide clinical care to patients with complex, chronic and age-related health conditions, including supporting patients with multiple comorbidities.
- Monitor patients' clinical conditions, recognise changes in health status and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Support patients to achieve their rehabilitation and functional goals, promoting independence and participation in their care wherever possible.
- Work collaboratively with medical, allied health and nursing teams to support coordinated and effective patient care.
- Provide education, guidance and support to patients and their families regarding their condition, treatment and ongoing care needs.
- Promote a safe and respectful environment that maintains each patient's dignity, privacy, preferences and individual needs.
- Contribute to clinical leadership, mentoring and support of nursing staff within the team.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital standards, policies and legislative requirements.
Your skills and experience
- You will be an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse who is committed to delivering person-centred care across medical, aged care and rehabilitation settings.
- You will have strong clinical assessment, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams.
To succeed in this role, you will hold registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
You will demonstrate advance clinical skills in medical nursing caring for patients with complex and chronic health conditions, particularly in a colorectal speciality.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant – Continence/Urology to lead the delivery of exceptional nursing care, education and clinical expertise within the Continence/Urology Service.

Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment, the successful candidate will champion innovation, support continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to the development of high-quality clinical services.
This role requires a dedicated nursing professional who is committed to delivering excellence in care, fostering positive relationships with patients and colleagues, and supporting the personal and professional growth of others. The Clinical Nurse Consultant will play a key role in education, consultancy, service development and clinical leadership, ensuring resources are utilised responsibly and in accordance with stewardship principles while maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety and patient experience.
The role is offered on a 12-month, part-time contract basis, working 14 hours per week.
Key responsibilities
- Provide advanced clinical leadership and expertise in continence and urology nursing practice.
- Assess, coordinate and support care for patients with complex continence and urology needs.
- Deliver specialist clinical consultancy, guidance and support to multidisciplinary teams.
- Promote evidence-based practice through the development and evaluation of clinical standards, policies and procedures.
- Lead education initiatives for patients, caregivers and clinical teams to enhance care outcomes.
- Support research, innovation and continuous improvement within the specialty area.
- Monitor, analyse and report on service performance, quality indicators and opportunities for service growth.
- Contribute to operational planning, budget management, product evaluation and strategic service development.
Your skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you will be a Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration and extensive experience in continence and urology nursing, supported by a postgraduate qualification in Continence/Urology or a commitment to working towards one. You will demonstrate advanced clinical expertise and a strong commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care.
You will have a sound understanding of relevant clinical standards, experience in education and mentoring, and the ability to apply evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
Postgraduate qualifications, research experience and previous involvement in clinical trials will be highly regarded.
Above all, patient care will be at the core of everything you do committing to and supporting our Mission and Values.

About the role
As an experienced Clinical Nurse - Quality & Risk, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care by promoting best practice in clinical governance, risk management, quality improvement, and accreditation activities across the hospital. Acting as a trusted resource for managers and clinicians, you will provide expert guidance, facilitate continuous improvement initiatives, and support compliance with relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
This influential role will see you work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to drive a culture of safety, quality, and accountability. You will be instrumental in the coordination and analysis of clinical incidents, consumer feedback, audits, risk assessments, and quality improvement activities, ensuring lessons learned are translated into meaningful outcomes that enhance patient care and organisational performance.
This is a Permanent Part-Time opportunity working up to 45.6 hours per fortnight, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful quality and risk initiatives while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Your skills and experience
The successful applicant will hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and bring substantial clinical experience, advanced specialty knowledge, and demonstrated leadership capability. You will have a sound understanding of clinical governance, quality improvement methodologies, and continuous improvement practices, with a commitment to supporting safe, effective, and high-quality patient care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams. Experience in a Clinical Nurse, Clinical Midwife, or equivalent leadership role will be highly regarded, as will the ability to influence positive change and contribute to organisational quality and patient safety initiatives.

We are seeking experienced Casual Registered and Enrolled Nurses to join our Subiaco Day Surgery team.
Our ward is a 46-bed combined DOSA and Day Surgery Unit providing preoperative and postoperative care to surgical patients in a wide range of surgical specialities. These include Cardiology, Orthopaedic, ENT, Vascular, Gynaecology, Paediatric, Plastics and General Surgery.
In this role you will provide exceptional care to patients undergoing a range of surgical procedures while ensuring that their experience aligns with the values that define our hospital. Your role will include patient assessment, pre-operative education and post-surgical care with a focus on fostering a supportive and safe environment for all patients.
Casual positions are available, offering flexibility while still allowing you to be part of a team committed to clinical excellence and outstanding patient care.
Shift Availability requirements
- Availability for a minimum of 2 shifts per week.
- Ability to cover shifts between 6:30am–2:30pm and 12:00pm–8:00pm.
- Shift lengths vary between 6, 8 and 10 hours.

About the role
Join us and deliver projects that matter. Your skills and experience

About the role
As an experienced Registered Nurse -Scrub/Scout, with Vascular, Thoracic, ENT and or Endoscopy experience, you will provide a high standard of patient care, act as a clinical resource and effectively manage resources to deliver quality patient outcomes in all areas of specialty within our perioperative department.
You will enjoy a challenging role in a highly advanced private theatre complex comprised of 18 Theatres. You’ll be exposed to the latest in surgical technology, including robotics, and work with some of the highest calibre surgeons in Australia who are usually based onsite in our consulting suites.
Our Clinical Command Centre is the hub that oils the theatre machine, with information feeding into and out of a central location to co-ordinate patient flow, equipment and available beds in recovery and on the wards. Our super-organised CCC Team know exactly where patients are up to on their theatre journey at all times.
Make a move and join our dedicated and supportive team in a clinically exciting theatre setting with a variety of case mixes, working with some of the highest calibre surgeons in Australia who are usually based on site in our consulting suites.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise nursing practice and take responsibility for standard of nursing care delivered.
Act as a clinical resource, maintain and develop clinical skills relevant to area of practice.
Evaluate the quality of nursing practice and participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
Ensure the correct use and care of all hospital equipment by self and colleagues.
Actively contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures in area of specialty.
Deputise for the Nurse Manager as required.
Participate in the performance management of caregivers in conjunction with the Nurse Manager.
Participate in and takes responsibility for the education of other caregivers by conducting formal and informal teaching sessions.
Assist in developing, implementing and reviewing specific departmental orientation programs with Nurse Manager, act as a preceptor as required.
Act as shift coordinator as required and in liaison with the Nurse / After Hours Manager and monitors staffing levels continuously to ensure appropriate numbers of skills staff are available within the agreed productivity targets.
