Our multidisciplinary team delivers holistic, non-judgemental care focused on recovery, hope and positive outcomes. About the role
We are seeking applications for a Peer Support Worker to join our Social Outreach team in Bunbury, on a permanent part-time basis.
Working as a Peer Support Worker, you will provide the highest level of support to individuals who are provided with a service by South-West Community Alcohol and Drug Services (SWCADS). This will be achieved through the implementation of services and programs that are flexible and individualised in response to each person being supported.
We value lived experience and see peer support as crucial part of the AOD recovery. Our Peer Support Worker roles are designed for individuals ready to share their journey to guide and inspire others AOD issues. Your insights will be vital in shaping understanding, enhancing our services, and ensuring we provide person-led, strengths-focused, recovery-oriented support.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in a range of appropriate programs and activities aimed at increasing the individualās skills, knowledge and improve access to required services in the community.
- Provide the highest level of support for individuals supported and ensure each person supported is treated with respect that enhances their personal worth, dignity and rights, at all times.
- Assist in achieving individualās, team and service goals and objectives.
- Seek ways of improving the service standards through working closely with clinical care givers, AOD prevention staff, line managers and contributing to meetings.
- Maintain a high level of service provision for all individuals and ensure the health, wellbeing and safety of all people supported and staff is maintained at all times.
- Support the identified needs of individuals in relation to their particular life circumstances.
To be successfully shortlisted, applicants will have a Certificate IV or above in a related field (Community Services, AOD, Mental Health) with lived experience.
Successful applicants must hold a valid WA driversā licence, Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.

Our midwives are dedicated to providing all aspects of pregnancy, birth and postnatal care in our antenatal clinics and services, on our maternity wards and in birth suites, in addition to care for our babies in our special care nurseries.
The Position
Assesses plans, delivers and evaluates patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required.
Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the ward and within the hospital.
Provides patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate.
Supports and supervises staff and students as required, including orientating and preceptoring staff.
Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives.
You will be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Midwife, with recent clinical experience within Maternity or similar environment. A sound knowledge of relevant legislation, professional codes, and standards is essential, along with a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development
The successful candidate will be able to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team and possess strong communication, conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

The Role
You will participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team and, under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse, assists in the delivery of quality patient care and in the provision of support services to clinical staff in area of speciality.
The Position
Transport patients to all areas of the hospital in accordance with recommended safe practices (any mode of transport including bed and wheelchair)
Assists with patient mobility, transfers and positioning in accordance with occupational safety and health practices, using manual handling equipment such as hoists and slide sheets under the direction of the Registered/Enrolled Nurse/Midwife
Maintain tidy patient care environment
Remove clinical care equipment and supplies from discharge rooms as relevant to area of work
Strip, clean and restock discharge beds/trolleys/cubicles/bathrooms as relevant to area of work
Prepare the meal table, open packages and ensure patient is positioned to eat and drink.
Seek assistance from other caregivers if patient needs help with feeding (e.g. cutting up food)Ā
Assists by answering patient call bells and telephone calls in a timely manner, making and tidying patient beds and assist in ensuring patients surroundings are clean and tidy
With well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, working effectively and harmoniously within in a multi-disciplinary team environment, commitment to customer service will be a priority.

In partnership with the University of Notre Dame Australia (UNDA), St John of God Health CareĀ offersĀ the Student Midwife Employed Program,Ā enabling you to complete the Graduate Diploma of Midwifery while being employed as a Registered Nurse/ Student Midwife. We will support you to meet the clinical requirements of the qualification through regular, rostered, paid shifts, building skills and confidence to become the midwife you want to be.
You will be offered employment on a fixed term part-time basis, working as a Registered Nurse/Student Midwife, with access to paid study leave. While a place on the University of Notre Dame Australia Graduate Diploma in Midwifery course is guaranteed for successful candidates, the enrolment into the course and payment of course fees are arranged directly with the university and is the responsibility of the participant.

Required to be enrolled or eligible to enrol in the February 2027 intake of the Graduate Diploma of Midwifery at the University of Notre Dame Australia

Must be eligible to work in Australia
It is an expectation that you will remain employed as a Registered Midwife at St John of God Health Care for 12 months post completion of qualification

About the role
Join the South West Community Alcohol and Drug Service (SWCADS) and play an important role in supporting the delivery of community-based alcohol and drug services. In this position, you will provide high-quality administrative and reception support to a multidisciplinary team, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the service.
Key responsibilities
Providing reception and front desk support, including telephone enquiries and client greetings.
Managing diaries, appointments and incoming referrals.
Performing general administrative duties including correspondence, filing and record management.
Assisting clinical staff with administrative requirements.
Processing invoices and supporting accounts payable functions.
Maintaining personnel records and staffing information.
Supporting onboarding and orientation activities for new staff, students and volunteers.
Coordinating information and communication across the service.
You are a proactive and organised administrator with demonstrated experience in reception, administrative support and accounts payable functions. With strong communication and interpersonal skills, you can build positive working relationships, manage confidential information with discretion, and effectively balance competing priorities in a busy environment. You are confident using Microsoft Office applications and take pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work with minimal supervision.
Experience within a health, community or human services setting will be highly regarded, along with an understanding of the importance of providing professional and responsive support to both clients and colleagues. You will bring a commitment to service excellence, strong problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative approach to supporting the South West Community Alcohol and Drug Service team.
Previous Executive or Personal Assistant experience, conflict resolution skills and a current driver's licence are desirable.

About the role
In this role, you will provide dedicated administrative support to our Maternity Outpatients Service, working exclusively with antenatal and maternity patients while coordinating and delivering high-level administrative and clerical support to ensure the department operates smoothly and efficiently.
You will play a vital role in supporting timely, well-organised and compassionate care, managing specialised maternity appointments, referrals and patient pathways, while working closely with midwives, obstetricians and multidisciplinary teams to support women and families throughout their maternity journey.
Key responsibilities
Provide a reception service to meet the daily requirements of the Maternity Outpatients Service.
Create and maintain patient information and specialised maternity records within the Patient Administration System.
Coordinate appointments for antenatal clinics, diabetes clinics, vaccination services and maternity-related specialist appointments.
Manage specialised maternity referral pathways and ensure referrals are processed accurately and within required timeframes.
Monitor and manage waitlists, ensuring patients are booked within clinical timeframes and escalating any concerns as required.
Coordinate education and orientation classes for expectant parents.
Monitor and manage departmental emails and action enquiries in a prompt and professional manner.
Receive and respond to outpatient-related telephone enquiries, initiating appropriate action as required.
Manage time-critical bookings and appointment changes in response to emergencies, clinical priorities and individual birth plans.
Work collaboratively with midwives, obstetricians and multidisciplinary teams to support the delivery of exceptional maternity care.
Skills and experience
You will bring proven experience in clerical, reception or administrative roles, with a strong focus on customer service and attention to detail. You will be highly organised and able to effectively prioritise competing demands within a busy healthcare environment. Experience coordinating appointments, managing confidential information and working with computerised administration systems will be highly regarded.
You will possess excellent communication skills and enjoy working collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical teams. Your Role
We are currently seeking motivated Youth Worker to join our Horizon House service in Broome, on a permanent part-time basis.
This will be an overnight shift position working 38 hours per fortnight.
- Week 1: Thursday & Friday night
- Week 2: Monday & Wednesday night
Our Youth Residential Caregivers work in a residential care setting alongside the Support Coordinator, to provide intensive support and advocacy to our residents. Responsibilities also include coordinating, developing and implementing the Independent Living Skills Program to meet the individualised needs of the residents throughout their stay at Horizon House.
The Position
Provide safe and stable long-term accommodation to a young people who are at risk of being homelessness.
Able to provide outreach, therapeutic and practical support to meet the continuum of care arrangements for young people with complex needs.
Assist young people to realise their aspirations and potential integration into mainstream society.
Provide support to young people in areas including independent living skills, involvement in education, training and employment services.Ā
Enhance a young personās wellbeing and personal development through engagement with the broader resources and supports available in the community.
Monitor and respond to the supportive and developmental needs of young people in a manner suited to their culture, gender and developmental needs.
Engage in an emphatic way with young people to effectively maintain strong relationships to allow effective outcomes of case management.
You will have a sound understanding of the special needs of adolescents and trauma-informed care, together with recent experience working with at-risk young people, extensive experience in an area related to youth work and knowledge of the Privacy Legislation and Occupational, Health & Safety Act Regulations.
Successful applicants will hold a Certificate IV in Youth Work or similar and/or minimum 2 years of experience in an area related to youth work and/or case management, Stateās Drivers Licence, First Aid Certificate and Working with Children Card.

About the role
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated professional to coordinate and deliver meaningful programs and activities for individuals and groups within a palliative care setting. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the delivery of holistic, person-centred care that enhances the wellbeing and quality of life of patients and their families.
In this rewarding role, you will work closely with caregivers, clinicians and external service providers to ensure seamless care and support across the continuum. Plan, coordinate and evaluate engaging therapeutic, recreational and creative programs for patients, carers and families.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support holistic, person-centred palliative care and care planning.
Provide individual support, follow-up care and complementary therapies within scope of practice to enhance patient wellbeing.
Build and maintain strong relationships with community organisations, health providers and professional networks to support seamless care.
Promote Support and Therapy services and contribute to community engagement, education and service awareness initiatives.
Support and mentor volunteers, students and community placements in the delivery of palliative care programs and activities.
Coordinate and contribute to special events, celebrations and awareness activities, including Palliative Care Week initiatives.
Monitor patient and family wellbeing, communicating observations and concerns to the multidisciplinary team to support quality care outcomes.
Your skills and experience
To thrive in this role, you will have an understanding of the unique needs of palliative care patients and their Carers, together with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be a compassionate team player who enjoys working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment, bringing experience in delivering complementary therapies and creative arts-based programs.
Previous experience in an inpatient healthcare setting and coordinating group programs will be highly regarded, as will an understanding of accreditation requirements and basic computer literacy skills.

We can offer you
Salary: $77,239 to $80,741 per annum (pro-rata) plus 12% superannuation
A fixed-term,12-month part-time contract, offering 20 hours per week
