Are you an experienced perioperative nurse with a passion for urology? We are seeking motivated Registered Nurses to join our dedicated Urology Theatre team. Working alongside experienced Clinical Nurses, Clinical Nurse Coordinators and surgeons, you will provide safe, high-quality perioperative care for patients undergoing a broad range of urological procedures.
Our service is supported by two Da Vinci robotic surgical systems, providing the opportunity to develop your skills in advanced minimally invasive urological surgery while working within a highly experienced multidisciplinary team.

- Prepare theatres, equipment, instrumentation and consumables for scheduled operating lists.
- Scrub and/or scout for a broad range of urological procedures, including robotic surgery.
- Maintain surgeon preference cards and identify opportunities to improve theatre efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, CSSD and the multidisciplinary team.
- Support the orientation of new staff and graduates and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Participate in education, competency development and ongoing professional learning.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives with a focus on patient safety and evidence-based practice.
- Ensure safe handling and care of specialised urology equipment and instrumentation.

The Team
The Ambulance Tasmania Triple Zero Communications Centre is a dedicated team working around the clock to connect Tasmanians with emergency ambulance care when they need it most. The team manages Triple Zero calls, assesses and prioritises incidents, coordinates ambulance resources, and supports frontline crews, working together to deliver a responsive and effective statewide emergency service.
The Role
The Operations Support Assistant plays a key role in supporting the effective operation of the Triple Zero Communications Centre, providing administrative, payroll and organisational support across the team. Working closely with the leadership group, the role assists with workforce administration, coordination of meetings and documentation, reporting, record keeping and other activities that support the smooth running of the Centre.
You will need
- Demonstrated experience in undertaking a broad range of high-level administrative duties.
- Demonstrated ability to organise, set priorities, meet deadlines and deal with a number of tasks concurrently within a demanding operational environment.
- Well-developed computer skills and demonstrated experience in using a range of software applications, information and finance systems, and payroll processes.

On-Call Duties: After-hours and weekend on-call responsibilities for Western QLD Health Service.
Practice Support: Best Practice software, dedicated practice administrator and nurse support.
Travel: Flights from Brisbane to St George (Rex Airlines, Wed/Sun) or Moree, with airport transfers arranged.
Accommodation: Fully furnished, self-contained, non-shared unit provided.
