About the Role
As an Occupational Therapist (AHP1), you will provide assessment, intervention, and care planning services to patients across NALHN, supporting individuals to achieve their health and wellbeing goals.
Working under the guidance of experienced clinicians, you'll develop your clinical expertise while delivering evidence-based, person-centred care. You may also contribute to the supervision and support of Allied Health Assistants and students.

About the Role:
Lyell McEwin Hospital is one of South Australia's busiest maternity services, and the midwives who shape its next generation of clinicians matter enormously. If you bring clinical depth and a genuine commitment to growing the midwifery workforce, this part-time contract role offers a meaningful platform to do exactly that.
What You'll Be Doing
Sitting within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN), this short-term contract position (through to 28 April 2028) supports the education and professional development of midwifery staff across the Lyell McEwin Health Service. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing, delivering and evaluating midwifery education programs aligned with contemporary evidence and NALHN clinical standards
- Supporting the orientation, preceptorship and ongoing competency development of midwifery staff
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to identify learning needs and translate them into practical education solutions
- Contributing to quality improvement initiatives that strengthen safe maternity care outcomes
What You'll Bring
- Substantial clinical midwifery experience across a range of maternity settings
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate adult learning in a clinical environment
- Familiarity with SA Health policy frameworks, credentialling processes, and safety and quality standards
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence a diverse clinical workforce
- Relevant post-registration qualifications in midwifery, education, or a related field (or equivalent demonstrated experience)
To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.

About the roles
RN-1 Seeking experienced Scrub/Scout Registered Nurses classified at this level to provide nursing services within the Operating room setting (Vascular/Emergency/Trauma/Cardiothoracic/Orthopaedic theatres). Employees working within this level develop from novice practitioners to a proficient level of professional practice. They consolidate knowledge and skills and develop in capability through continuous professional development and experience. An employee at this level accepts accountability for his or her own standards of nursing care and for activities delegated to others.
RN-2 Seeking experienced Scrub/Scout Clinical Nurses within the Operating room service (Vascular/Emergency/Trauma/Cardiothoracic/Orthopaedic theatres) setting which have been consolidated by experience and/or further study, with staff at this level developing from competent to proficient practitioners. Accept accountability for their own practice standards, activities delegated to others and the guidance and development of less experienced staff. The Clinical Nurse role at this level continues to be predominantly clinical in nature; however, employees are assigned appropriate portfolios. The allocation of portfolio responsibilities should be negotiated with each employee and be consistent with the career development plan for the employee as determined by their performance review/development plan. The Clinical Nurse demonstrates advanced practice within the specialised field of employment. The Clinical Nurse has a high level of understanding within their chosen speciality.
Essential Requirements/Abilities/Aptitudes/Skills:

About the roleJoin CALHN as our Aboriginal Cultural Consultant (Learning and Development) and help strengthen cultural capability across our diverse workforce.
In this identified role, you’ll design, coordinate and deliver learning programs that strengthen understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and ways of knowing, being and doing. You’ll work closely with First Nations employees, CALHN leaders, the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Committee and internal and external stakeholders. About the role

- Scientifically capable: Bring strong knowledge and practical expertise in a relevant medical laboratory discipline, including laboratory principles, diagnostic procedures, quality systems and quality control and assurance.
- Adaptable and solutions-focused: Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure with limited supervision, apply initiative, prioritise workflow, troubleshoot equipment and technical issues, and quickly acquire and apply new skills.

What you'll be doing
Practicing and promoting safe, efficient and effective nursing care for people experiencing mental health problems that reflect current National practice standards for mental health, current standards of nursing practices and current Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures.
All nursing positions are expected to be able to work across all components of the mental health service including inpatient and community-based services.
About You
You are a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Registered Nurse with current registration through the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a strong commitment to delivering recovery-focused, person-centred care. Drawing on your clinical experience within mental health services, you provide comprehensive assessment, therapeutic interventions, and ongoing support to consumers experiencing a range of mental health challenges.
You are recognised for your sound clinical judgement and ability to effectively assess, prioritise, and respond to complex situations, using strong problem-solving skills to achieve the best possible outcomes for consumers. Through your understanding of contemporary mental health nursing practice, you contribute to the delivery of safe, therapeutic, and evidence-based care in a dynamic clinical environment.
Your excellent communication skills enable you to establish positive relationships with consumers, carers, families, and healthcare professionals, while maintaining accurate clinical documentation and effective use of information technology systems. You value collaboration and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, support recovery goals, and ensure services are responsive to individual needs.
Adaptable, resilient, and committed to high-quality mental health care, you thrive in fast-paced environments and contribute positively to team culture and service delivery. You are dedicated to providing consistent and compassionate support across all aspects of care and are flexible in participating in a seven-day rotating roster, including public holidays and night duty, to meet the needs of consumers and the service.
