The Role
The CNE provides coordination, delivery and evaluation of clinical nurse education (including programs) at the ward/unit level. Such education may include orientation and/or transitioning for new nursing staff, undergraduate and casual nurses as well as meeting the ongoing educational needs of existing nursing staff. Provides clinical supervision at the point of care within everyday clinical practice, in line with the ANMC Decision Making Frameworks for Nurses and Midwives.

All Registered Nurses must comply and act in accordance with recognised professional and organisational standards established by: NSW Ministry of Health, The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District & Prince of Wales Hospital.
Clinical supervision at the point of care is the role and responsibility of each Registered Nurse and Enrolled Nurse within everyday clinical practice, in line with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council Decision Making Frameworks for Nurses and Midwives.
Prince of Wales Hospital and Community Health Service is a Level 6 Tertiary Referral Hospital with an inpatient bed base of 370. Each year we care for more than 70,000 patients in our Emergency Department and have around 50,000 admissions to the inpatient units. POWH offers an outpatient service and rural outreach service and provides more than 900,000 occasions of non-admitted patient care each year, including innovative virtual models of care. We have transitioned the majority of inpatient units and wards to the Acute Services Building (ASB) including a state of the art Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit. POWH provides an exceptional staff experience and enhanced patient and family outcomes as a result of the provision of person-centred care.

Selection Criteria

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
- Holds a relevant clinical or education post registration qualification and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer

SESLHD Drug and Alcohol Service offers a range of treatment and support services for people with problems from their alcohol, prescription or illicit drug use, and/or their families and carers. Outpatient D&A services are located in clinics at the Langton Centre in Surry Hills, St George Hospital in Kogarah, and Caringbah Community Health Centre at Sutherland Hospital. Inpatient D&A services are provided at Sydney Hospital, Prince of Wales, St. George and Sutherland Hospitals.

The Clinical Nurse Consultant is a Registered Nurse who has responsibility for the delivery of specialist drug and alcohol nursing consultancy services in hospital and inpatient mental health settings in accordance with the NSW Health Hospital Drug & Alcohol Consultation Liaison Model of Care. The position delivers clinical leadership and education, and participates in research, quality improvement activities and clinical services planning in accordance with the criteria for a Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 1 as per the NSW Public Health System Nurses and Midwives (State) Award. The position may be required to work across multiple SESLHD locations, including Prince of Wales Hospital, St George Hospital and Sutherland Hospital, and work day shifts Monday to Friday inclusive.

Selection Criteria
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse, Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and current NSW Driver’s License.
- Minimum 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience and in addition who has approved post registration nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field in which they are appointed, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate.

The Role
The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality nursing care to patients/clients of the Prince of Wales Hospital (POWH) consistent with SESLHD and POWH policies, procedures and standards.
This role is responsible for the management of inventory within Randwick Campus Operating Suite. The registered nurse is responsible to ensure that stock that is used within the Operating Suite is replaced in a timely manner through a stock management systems.
This role works closely with the Nursing Unit Managers and nursing staff within theatres to management stock. The inventory nurse works with the speciality Nurse Unit Managers to manage stock levels within the allocated budget. The inventory nurse reports to the Nurse Manager Randwick Campus Operating Suite. Prince of Wales Hospital and Community Health Service is a Level 6 Tertiary Referral Hospital with an inpatient bed base of 370. Each year we care for more than 70,000 patients in our Emergency Department and have around 50,000 admissions to the inpatient units. POWH offers an outpatient service and rural outreach service and provides more than 900,000 occasions of non-admitted patient care each year, including innovative virtual models of care. SESLHD’s Sexual Health and Blood Borne Virus Services (SHBBV) provides leadership, innovation and research in the sector. Across these services, care is provided via fixed locations and outreach networks to a client base of approximately 28,000 individuals. These services provide free testing, treatment and management to people effected be HIV, sexually transmitted infections, viral hepatitis as well as Transgender and gender diverse care.
A key focus of the position is to provide a range of specialist services including HIV management, sexual health assessment, screening and treatment, pre and post exposure prophylaxis, vaccination, health promotion, and care to Transgender and gender diverse clients. The role is primarily based at the Albion Centre.
The role will work in collaboration with local interdisciplinary teams to ensure a streamlined approach to client centred delivery of care across the three Sexual Health facilities. Cross facility support and travel may be required where necessary.

Selection Criteria
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.

- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.

About the role
Anatomical pathology trainees are rotated through all major metropolitan hospitals, namely the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH), Flinders Medical Centre (FMC), the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH), and the Womens and Childrens Hospital (WCH), as well as Forensic Science SA.
As a Registrar in Anatomical Pathology, you will be an integral part of the SA Pathology Anatomical Pathology training program, working towards obtaining Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA). Under appropriate supervision, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality Anatomical Pathology, Cytology and Mortuary services. Throughout your training, you will actively participate in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, including teaching, case reviews and self-directed learning. You will also be encouraged to contribute to research activities that advance the field of Anatomical Pathology. This role offers a comprehensive pathway to develop your expertise, with exposure to a wide variety of diagnostic challenges within a supportive and professionally rewarding environment.
About You
You are a motivated medical practitioner with a strong interest in Anatomical Pathology and a commitment to completing the Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA). About the role
The Nurse Practitioner See & Treat, Paediatric Emergency Department (PED) works within the nurse led See and Treat Service and ACE model within the department providing prompt assessment, treatment and discharge of patients allocated to this service.
Key duties of the role
- Contribute expert nursing assessment and advice to local clinical teams to achieve integrated nursing care within a risk management framework.
- Initiate, develop and implement educational and/or clinical protocols/standards.
- Lead the development of education resources for health professionals and patient/client groups
- Contribute specific expertise to monitoring and evaluative research activities in order to improve nursing or midwifery practice and service delivery
- Provides leadership and direction, acts as a role model, mentor, consultant and resource person.
Skills and Experience
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate with the notation of Nurse Practitioner.
- Demonstrated ability to work as an autonomous practitioner and/or as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 5 years post registration experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Nurse Practitioner’s role.

- Send out SMS messages to clients advising of change of appointment time or to update information, to provide the best opportunity for the client to meet their appointment and service needs.
- Record client appointments accurately in the electronic appointment diary reflecting relevant group, program or function and timely cancellation and re-scheduling of clinical appointments in the event of staff absences, following confidentiality procedures when contacting clients and related others, so as not to disadvantage clients.
About you:
- Proven excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and face to face communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deal with sensitive issues, use initiative, tact and diplomacy and handle difficult situations in a calm, positive manner, with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively produce work of a high standard and with attention to accuracy and presentation, and within predetermined time frames.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency in Reception/Administrative functions and procedures within a health environment/setting.

About You

- Be eligible for Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association membership
