The Role

The vision for nursing and midwifery at St George Hospital is to provide meaning and purpose to plan for the future;have reference to an inspirational statement that is consistent with the purpose and values of nursing and midwifery;and to inspire nurses and midwives to provide the highest quality healthcare to patients in any circumstance. The Vision Statement is:'Nurses and midwives at St George Hospital are always compassionate and competent in the delivery of excellent patient and family centred care.' Eight core behaviours were identified as being integral to achieving the vision - team player, caring;respectful, honest, advocate, collaborative, considerate and accountable.
The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality nursing care to patients/clients of the St George Hospital and Health service consistent with SESLHD and St George Hospital policies, procedures and standards.

Selection Criteria
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery and to guide others in providing service excellence.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.
- Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of risk management, safety and quality principles and the role of the Registered Nurse in applying these principles.
- Demonstrated recent post registration aged care experience in an acute care setting

Your highly developed communication skills support effective collaboration with patients, families and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Selection Criteria
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the following criteria in your application:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery and to guide others in providing service excellence.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.
- Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems.
- Demonstrated understanding of recovery principles and commitment to the philosophy and practice of consumer, family and carer participation and consumer focused care.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to deliver high quality patient care in Mental Health at a post graduate level
- Proven experience in the provision of care and assessment and management of risk within the mental health environment

As an Assistant in Nursing at FMC, you'll work alongside Enrolled and Registered Nurses to deliver hands-on patient care, carrying out fundamental nursing tasks within a plan of care developed by a Registered Nurse or Midwife. About the role:
Reporting to the Nurse Manager, you will play an important role in supporting patients with cognitive impairment and complex behaviours through proactive engagement, early intervention and person-centred care. Working as part of the CALMR (Care, Awareness, Leadership and Management of Responsive Behaviour) team, your responsibilities will include:
• Promoting safe mobility and independence for patients where appropriate,
• Supporting patients to engage in meals, hydration and daily activities,
• Facilitating meaningful diversionary and therapeutic engagement activities,
• Implementing falls prevention and patient safety strategies,
• Monitoring patient wellbeing and escalating concerns to the Registered Nurse,
• Utilising non-pharmacological approaches to prevent and de-escalate agitation and distress,
• Supporting the fundamentals of care, including comfort, nutrition, hydration and toileting needs,
• Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes and experiences,
• Contributing to a culture of safety, system learning and continuous improvement through the CALMR model of care
About you:
- Proof of successful completion of first year Bachelor of Nursing and enrolment in second year in a recognised tertiary facility,
- Effective verbal and written communication skills,
- Working within the boundaries of their education and skill preparation, in the provision of nursing/midwifery care in the healthcare, setting in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice,
- Caring for patients with dementia,

About the Role:

What You'll Be Doing
Working within the Urology service at NALHN, you will deliver advanced, autonomous clinical care to a diverse patient population across the Adelaide Metro Northern region. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing evidence-based assessment, diagnosis, and management of urological conditions across inpatient and outpatient settings. This includes:
- - Independently performing scheduled diagnostic and surveillance flexi cystoscopy lists and associated required follow up on pathology and cytology
- - performing trial of void assessments, education patients to perform intermittent self-catheterisation and/or drainage, performing supra pubic catheter changes, post Botox installation reviews, bladder instillations clinics including BCG
- Leading clinical quality initiatives and contributing to service improvement within the urology unit
- Providing expert clinical urology advice to community nurses, general practitioners, patients and relatives to facilitate hospital avoidance where possible
- Prescribing medications and initiating referrals within your endorsed scope of practice
- Mentoring and supporting nursing staff to build team capability and advance urology nursing practice standards
What You Bring
- Current AHPRA registration as a Nurse Practitioner with an endorsed scope relevant to this role
- Demonstrated clinical experience in urology or a closely related specialty
- Proven ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team in a complex public health environment
- Strong skills in clinical assessment, diagnostics, and advanced care planning

Music Therapist - Southern Adelaide Local Health Network
We are seeking a Music Therapist to join a vibrant Arts in Health team. This role offers the opportunity to deliver impactful, person-centred programs and contribute to one of Australia's longest-established hospital-based Arts in Health services, enhancing the healthcare experience of patients across a major tertiary health service.
About the role:
Reporting to the Manager Arts in Health, in this role, you'll deliver comprehensive music therapy services to patients, to their families & and carers — bringing a responsive, person-centred approach that flexes to meet individual needs across a diverse clinical environment.
Duties for the role will include:
- Commitment to delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the SALHN Integrated Governance Framework, the Consumer Engagement Framework and Plan.
- Provides safe, comprehensive, person-centred care through assessment, collaborative care planning and delivery, that supports continuity of care across admission, treatment, rehabilitation, recovery and transition from hospital.
- Promoting a positive and learning team environment.
- Providing education and information to relevant staff and stakeholders.
- Acknowledging cultural requirements and personal differences of clients.
About you:
- Additional study or qualifications relevant to the delivery of Music Therapy services in a range of acute and rehabilitation care settings.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Music Therapy (and/or other fields relevant to the position).
- Commitment to the philosophy of Arts in Health and the promotion of wellbeing through Music Therapy and cultural activities within the healthcare environment.
- Experience in the development and implementation of Music Therapy services in healthcare, including acute, palliative, mental health, rehabilitation and aged care.
- Experience in the general supervision of staff, students and volunteers.

About The Role

To succeed in the Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator role, you will:
- Demonstrate experience developing or delivering leisure, lifestyle, wellbeing, recreation or person-centred support programs.
- Bring experience working with older people, people with disability or people with diverse support needs.
- Demonstrate strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with people receiving services, families, carers, staff and community stakeholders.
- Have experience coordinating the work or activities of employees, volunteers or students, while effectively managing competing priorities and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Demonstrate experience contributing to service evaluation, quality improvement or compliance activities, with sound digital skills including Microsoft O365.
There are no essential educational or vocational qualifications specified for the role. A Certificate IV or higher qualification in leisure and health, ageing support, disability support, community services, diversional therapy or another relevant field is desirable.
