The Team
The Alcohol and Drug Service (ADS) is a state-wide service across Tasmania. We provide programs and treatment to help with alcohol, tobacco, and other drug issues.
ADS provides services that include intake and assessment, case management and coordination of care, withdrawal management, relapse prevention, secondary consultation, brief intervention, counselling, group work and therapy, health promotion, information and community education. ADS also provides a variety of programs, interventions, and treatment services:
- Community teams – counselling and treatment service
- Withdrawal management services
- Opioid pharmacotherapy program
- Smoking and mental health

The Role
As a member of the Office of the Group Director ADS, based in New Town, Tasmania, the Executive Support Officer demonstrates a high degree of initiative and confidentiality, and is the primary point of contact for the Office. The Executive Support Officer will:
- Provide a high level of executive and administrative support to the Group Director and Statewide Speciality Director ADS.
- Support the efficient and effective delivery of business activities and processes for the ADS.
You will need
- Proven experience and understanding of the provision of high-level executive and administrative support in a demanding senior management environment.
- Well-developed organisational and research skills, together with the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, manage a diverse and often competing workload to achieve desired outcomes within an environment subject to continuous change.
- Ability to exercise initiative, judgement, sensitivity, and discretion, including the ability to interpret and analyse information and recommend or decide on appropriate action within a senior management environment.

The Outpatient Rehabilitation Service
Outpatient Rehabilitation (OPR) is a multidisciplinary allied health outpatient service for patients residing in the THS-North returning home to the community following an inpatient hospital admission. The service is based at the Launceston General Hospital. The Outpatient Rehabilitation team includes Allied Health Assistants, Dietetics, Clinical Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work and Speech Pathology. OPR aims to provide goal-directed, time limited rehabilitation for patients with physical, psychological, emotional or cognitive difficulties and deficits arising from their recent medical event. The caseload includes patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, amputation, deconditioning and other conditions requiring rehabilitation after a hospital admission.
The Role
The Allied Health Team Leader- Outpatient Rehabilitation provides clinical leadership and oversees best practice multidisciplinary rehabilitation. This is an opportunity to step into a key clinical leadership role and shape the future of the Outpatient Rehabilitation service at Launceston General Hospital. The role combines hands-on expert clinical practice with leadership, service development, education, and innovation across the service. This position plays a pivotal role in enhancing patient outcomes, supporting staff development, and driving excellence in care delivery.
Details of appointment
Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working 30.4 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 January 2028.

The Team
The Pharmacy Education and Development team work as part of the broader pharmacy leadership team to establish and promote the positive culture of being a learning organisation to ensure that pharmacy services deliver relevant education, professional development and training frameworks for pharmacy staff, including pharmacy interns, early career pharmacists and new to hospital pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
The Role
- Lead the planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of pharmacy education programs
- Build capacity for the pharmacy service to provide high quality training programs
- Where required, establish relationships with universities and act as the interface between the pharmacy service and the university regarding pre-entry student placements
- Work with existing structures in the department to provide clinical leadership, support and supervision to pharmacy interns, pharmacy technicians, early career pharmacists and pharmacists transitioning to hospital practice
- Work in partnership with other Statewide Pharmacy Educators and Leads, Discipline leads/Managers and universities to build productive networks and facilitate interdisciplinary education, training, professional development and research opportunities.
You will need
- Extensive experience delivering contemporary pharmacy services in a range of activities including dispensing, patient counselling, clinical pharmacy, manufacturing, and drug information, preferably in a hospital setting, including demonstrated understanding of evidence-based practice, clinical governance, clinical risk management, clinical standards, relevant legislation, research and ethics.

The Team
RHH is Tasmania’s largest hospital; Mental Health Hospital in the Home (MH HITH) is a virtual hospital based in the community as part of the RHH. MH HITH is a multidisciplinary service inclusive of medical, nursing, allied health, and peer support workers.
MH HITH provides in home care of a person experiencing mental health challenges who would otherwise be in hospital. This is achieved by the clinical staff working for MH HITH visiting consumers within their own home providing ongoing assessment and mental health support inclusive of medication regimes, allied health specific therapy and medical officer intervention.
The Role:
- Provide face to face and telephone reception service for Mental Health Service clients.
- Ensure sensitive and confidential handling of all enquiries and that information is provided to the correct clinician in a timely manner.
- Undertake general administrative and clerical duties as required by senior staff and other clinicians within the Team.

The Role
The Clinical Trial Assistant – Phlebotomy/Laboratory, will provide support to the Research Study Coordinators and Clinical Trials Team by performing standard of care and clinical trial specific participant assessments, biospecimen sample processing, inventory management, and administration activities as required by specific protocols and the Clinical Trials Team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collect blood samples via venepuncture and collect other specimens at specific time points.

About you

You will have:
- A Certificate III or IV in Pathology Specimen Collection (required)
- Recent experience in venepuncture and ECG collection is essential (minimum of one year’s recent experience required)
- Experience with blood sample processing preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of an effective team
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality and accuracy
- Ability to follow detailed protocols and maintain accurate documentation

About the Opportunity
The role of the Payroll Coordinator provides a high standard of support to enable successful and smooth payroll processing across HammondCare Residential. The Payroll Officer assists in the process and maintenance of accurate and up to date payroll records and contributes to ensuring HammondCare meets legislative requirements, in addition to supporting with the running of payroll operations each fortnight and weekly adjustment run.

Payroll Processing & Administration
- Support the accurate and timely processing of the fortnightly payroll, including employee changes, leave, deductions and other payroll transactions

- Process termination payments, ETPs, overpayment recoveries, purchased leave and other payroll calculations and entitlements

About the role
The Senior Accounts Payable Officer plays a key role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of accounts payable functions. Working as part of a team of finance professionals, the role is responsible for processing supplier and miscellaneous invoices, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and ensuring payments are made accurately and on time in accordance with agreed payment terms and organisational policies.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Coordinating and managing the day-to-day operations of the unit, including supervision of junior medical staff, and ensuring that learning objectives are met in accordance with specialist college training requirements.
- Making critical decisions related to patient management, leading daily ward rounds, and ensuring that all patients are assessed and treated in a timely manner.
- Maintaining close communication and collaboration within the unit, particularly regarding patients requiring urgent and ongoing care.

- Keeping up to date with medical knowledge and skills, participating in quality improvement and audit activities, and performing other duties as required by the Medical Workforce.
- Be involved in at least two research projects so as to present them at the Annual AOA meeting and either the summer or winter Victoria state meeting

As part of Pinangba, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-led service delivery arm of BlueCare, you'll join a dedicated Quality and Risk team and support residential aged care services to strengthen clinical, quality and cultural governance. This is a unique opportunity to apply your clinical expertise while driving quality improvement, risk management and better outcomes for residents, families and communities.
About the role
As a Quality Care Advisor, you will provide expert clinical, quality, risk and cultural governance advice to leaders across Pinangba residential aged care services. You'll support the delivery of safe, high-quality and culturally informed care through risk management, continuous improvement, accreditation readiness and regulatory compliance.
Working across multiple services, you'll help identify emerging risks, strengthen governance practices and support culturally safe, person-centred care aligned to the Pinangba Cultural Governance Framework and Model of Care.

Key responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical, quality, risk, safety and cultural governance support to leaders to improve care outcomes.
- Support management of key clinical risks including deterioration, wounds, falls, infection prevention, medication safety, dementia and behaviour support.
- Build leader capability in clinical governance, cultural governance, risk management and continuous improvement.
- Partner with internal and external clinical experts to support best-practice care and clinical risk management.
- Support the management of serious incidents, complaints and regulatory reporting, including SIRS and NDIS reportable incidents where applicable.
- Assist services with audits, accreditation readiness and compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements and the Pinangba Cultural Governance Framework.
With no two days the same, you'll work across multiple services, partnering with teams to support culturally safe care, strengthen quality systems and drive meaningful improvements.
Role requirements
- Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) with current unrestricted AHPRA registration and unlimited work entitlements - Essential.
