About the Role
In this varied and busy role you deliver engaging, fun and varied activities ensuring residents have their best day, everyday. A key part of your role will be giving personal care and emotional support to residents to ensure they feel valued, safe and maintain strong social connections within the home. As well as providing some aspects of direct care you will love getting to know the personal interests of our residents and finding engaging, fun and innovative activities that keep them motivated and smiling.
A typical day includes;
- Delivering lifestyle activities to residents.
- Assisting residents, one-on-one, to take part in social activities such as group lifestyle classes.
- Providing social and emotional support to residents.
- Accompanying residents, one-on-one, on outings to assist residents.
- One-on-one support to residents with cognitive impairment, including individual therapy activities and
- specific programs designed to prevent or manage a particular condition or behaviour and to enhance the
- quality of life.
- Spending social time with a resident to have a conversation.
- Assisting a resident personally to undertake personal interests (for example reading or playing a game).
- Plan, implement and maintain lifestyle programs in line with residents needs and preferences.
- Maintaining appropriate documentation as requested.
- Providing new and innovative ideas to engage residents.
- Complying with Estia Health’s quality management system.
You’ll be a team player who:

About the Role
You’ll be hugely important in making sure our home runs smoothly – an indispensable helper to our residential aged care manager.
Usually, your day will involve:
- Working closely with the Residential Aged Care Manager and home staff to maintain accurate rosters
- Assisting with staff recruitment and onboarding
- Providing prompt and friendly customer service to both internal and external customers
- Proactively managing the enquiries pipeline to successfully convert enquiries to sales
- Lending a hand with billing, payroll and stocktake
- Providing guidance and mentoring to Administration Officer
- Maintaining all record management systems
- Supporting our residential aged care manager in their daily tasks
You’ll be a people person and problem-solver, with high attention to detail. You’ll also have:
- A real desire to make a difference in people’s lives
- A qualification in Business Administration or similar (ideally)
- A proven ability to work to deadlines and work in fast-paced environment
- Solid computer and data skills
- Previous experience in Aged Care (ideally)
- Previous experience in rostering (ideally)
- Be Available Monday to Friday for Full Time (76 hours per fortnight)
- $43.01 per hour

About the role

Your part in The Wesley Hospital team
As the Lead Administration Officer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the team in our Emergency Centre department, providing a tailored service through administrative support, whilst providing an exceptional level of customer service.
Our Emergency Centre Receptionists provide an efficient, effective, professional and client focused administration support in our Emergency Departments and participate in a 24/7 roster system. They facilitate service delivery and administration support to our Medical Officers, Nursing, Allied Health staff and Patients. A key focus of the role is to implement and maintain comprehensible processes that enable the timely and accurate patient admission to the Emergency Departments. This role involves overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring that administrative procedures are followed efficiently. This role is also responsible for the quality of the preadmission and admission for patients admitting from the Emergency Centre to the hospital – this includes but not limited to Insured, Self-Funded, WorkCover, Third Party and Maternity patients.
