About Department
St Vincent’s is proud of its International reputation for delivery of Mental Health Services and the use of the ‘Strengths Model’ and its principles and includes a 44 bed adult acute inpatient , Continuing Care Teams; a Crisis Assessment Team, a PARC and Community Care Unit as well as state-wide services and support services.
About the Role
Applications are invited for a psychiatry registrar position (unaccredited)
Training rotations available include: general adult inpatient and community psychiatry, child and adolescent mental health, Koori, consultation-liaison, psycho-oncology, psychogeriatrics, dual diagnosis, perinatal psychiatry, and psychiatry in the private setting. For further information please refer to the SVMH Psychiatry Training Program attachment.
There is an extensive academic and educational program available to trainees at St Vincent’s Mental Health. St Vincent’s has a particular commitment to providing a comprehensive training program which includes quality experience in psychotherapy (supported by our Head of Psychotherapy Training), and an active examination preparation program. In addition to RANZCP Supervision, a senior psychiatrist supports our inpatient registrars with a reflective practice group.
The classification for these positions will be dependent on stage of training as per EBA
Duties
- Assess, formulate and develop treatment plan for patients admitted to the inpatient unit or community under the supervision of the consultant psychiatrist.
- Liaise with other members of the multidisciplinary team on the delivery of the treatment plan.
- Respect the leadership role and the varied other roles and responsibilities with a team.
- Engage in work which is recovery oriented, focused on maximizing decision making capacity and social participation.
- Comply with relevant legal requirements and organizational policies regarding health records and timely and accurate patient documentation and statistical data.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor Medicine, Bachelor Surgery or equivalent
- Registration with the AHPRA or eligibility for general registration
- Registration as a medication prescriber
- Commitment to the Values and Health Care Philosophy of SVHM

About the Role
The Laboratory Assistant/ Data Entry Clerk is required to perform the pre-processing of samples received at the reception area of Pathology. This includes identification, numbering and distribution of samples and may include computer entry, weighing, centrifugation or aliquotting.
Duties include the following:
- Perform basic laboratory tests and instrument maintenance consistent with your experience
- Specialised cleaning of equipment
- Receipt and storage of laboratory consumables
- Accurate entry of patient details, clinical notes, requested tests, billing information and process request forms
- Clerical duties such as filing, photocopying and faxing
- Respond to telephone enquiries for information or results
Classifications for this position will range from $54,839 per annum pro-rata.
Your Contribution
The preferred candidate will hold the following skills and attributes:
- Basic laboratory skills such as centrifugation and aliquotting, as well as an understanding of simple laboratory tests
- Experience responding to enquiries for information on laboratory procedures or patient results, with the ability to accurately process patient request samples and forms
- Ability to identify and prioritise patient requests according to level of urgency
- Willingness to work as part of a team of laboratory personnel, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrable organisational skills
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain/ Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willing to obtain

The Psychiatric Enrolled Nurse, under the supervision of the ANUM/RPN 2 on shift, will be responsible for the delivery of high quality consumer care within the team environment. Footbridge CCU is a 20 bed residential mental health service, operating 24/7 365 days per year. We support consumers to maintain and improve their mental health. LOCAL WORK ENVIRONMENT
St. Vincent’s Mental Health (SVMH) includes an adult area mental health service for the inner city areas of Yarra and Boroondara. The adult mental health service components are: The Footbridge Community Care Unit (CCU), the 44 bed Acute Inpatient Service (AIS) located on the St. Vincent’s Hospital site, the North Fitzroy PARC and two community mental health services (CMHS) at Hawthorn and East Melbourne (Clarendon CMHS). Community mental health services comprise the Triage and Crisis assessment and Treatment (CAT) Service and the Primary Intervention Care Team (PICT) includes Extended Triage and HOPE (Suicide Prevention), Continuing Care (CCT), Mobile Support and Treatment (MST) and Homeless Outreach (CHOPS) services. A Consultation & Liaison Service is provided to the health service. NEXUS Dual Diagnosis Service, the Body Image and Eating Disorders Assessment and Treatment Service (BETRS) and NEVIL Training Cluster are regional services. Statewide services are the Victorian Dual Disability Service and the Victorian Transcultural Mental Health. The Acute Inpatient Service includes 5 beds designated as the Koori State-wide Inpatient Service and linked to the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service.

The Psychiatric Enrolled Nurse, under the supervision of the ANUM/RPN 2 on shift, will be responsible for the delivery of high quality consumer care within the team environment. To work collaboratively within the multi-disciplinary team, in a service that actively promotes recovery orientated practice.
POSITION DUTIES
- Work within the Strengths Model of Recovery Orientated Practice
- Provide high quality clinical services to consumers
- Administer medication in accordance with hospital procedures, protocols and policies
- Contribute effectively in clinical review processes and team activities
- Display active participation in professional development and learning opportunities
- Display a high standard of clinical practice and professional conduct at all times, providing clinical support to other members of the multi-disciplinary team
- Assist with medical and diagnostic procedures carried out on the unit
- Maintenance of all documentation in line with SVMH policies
- Work in accordance to legislative requirements of the Victorian Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022
- Participate in ongoing education by attending training and contribute to the orientation and development of new staff

SELECTION CRITERIA
ESSENTIAL REGISTRATION, LICENSE OR QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in nursing which meets the registration requirements of APHRA
- Enrolled Nurse. Medication Endorsement.
- Post registration qualification in relevant area of specialty or in process of achieving same.
OTHER ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrated ability in working as part of the multidisciplinary clinical team in promoting a standard of excellence in clinical practice. This includes the supervision of students, and contributing to team clinical processes such as Clinical Review and Group Supervision
- A comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of the Victorian Mental Health and Wellbeing Act
- (including amendments) and other relevant legislation
- Commitment to working collaboratively and effectively with multiple key stakeholders both internal and external of St. Vincent’s Health (including consumers, carers, family members and community agencies)
- Previous experience working in a mental health setting under a recovery oriented framework

As a clinical role, it will draw on your knowledge of mental health legislation and policy, including intake, mental state and risk assessment, and crisis intervention. The Monash Health Gender Clinic is Australia's longest-established gender service, providing statewide care for transgender, gender diverse and non-binary (TGDNB) people. Our multidisciplinary team delivers gender-affirming care, peer support, education and advocacy, while working to improve access and outcomes for TGDNB communities. This role works within a collaborative team of peer workers, psychology, psychiatry, social work, speech pathology, endocrinology and administration professionals.

Join our team as a Consumer Peer Worker Level 3 on a part-time (0.6 EFT, 3 days a week), ongoing basis at the Monash Health Gender Clinic, located within the Victorian Pride Centre in St Kilda.
Drawing on your lived experience as a trans, gender diverse or non-binary person, you will provide intentional peer support to consumers accessing the Gender Clinic and contribute to a supportive, recovery-oriented service.

About the role
- Report to the Executive Director First Nations Health and work closely with the L&D Manager to deliver Aboriginal cultural capability initiatives across the organisation
- Lead an Aboriginal Cultural Capability Facilitator, providing guidance and mentoring to enhance workforce capability, inclusion, and wellbeing
- Lead the design, delivery, evaluation, and reporting of cultural capability programs to strengthen Aboriginal cultural capability, cultural safety, responsiveness, and inclusivity across the organisation
- Build and maintain respectful partnerships with local Aboriginal communities and key stakeholders to support culturally informed and responsive service delivery
- Influence organisational governance, policies, and service models to embed Aboriginal perspectives, align with NSW legislative priorities, and integrate Aboriginal-specific strategies into broader planning
- Produce high-quality reports, briefs, and submissions for senior leadership while developing targeted strategies to support training completion, program compliance, and continuous improvement across competing operational priorities
About you
- Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, hold a current unrestricted NSW driver’s licence, and be willing to travel (including overnight stays) across the catchment
- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification (or equivalent experience) with a proven track record leading teams, creating and implementing workforce development initiatives, and embedding Aboriginal perspectives into organisational culture
- Skilled in designing, managing, and delivering cultural capability, cultural safety, and workforce development initiatives, with strong project management skills and knowledge of relevant government frameworks, policies, and legislation relating to Aboriginal people
- Demonstrated high-level interpersonal, negotiation, consultation, and communication skills, with the ability to centre Aboriginal voices, address cultural capability challenges, and influence change across diverse workplace settings
- Proven ability to strategically engage and collaborate with Aboriginal communities, leadership teams, internal stakeholders, and external organisations

About our Infant Child and Youth Area Mental Health & Wellbeing Service
Our Infant, Child and Youth Area Mental Health Service provides a range of mental health services to infants,children, adolescents, youth and their families within the Southern Region.
The organisational and clinical model has been developed to provide mental health care that is flexible andresponsive to the individual and developmental needs of the infant to youth populations and their families. Assuch, this model will support the provision of integrated mental health care for young people, guided byconsistent, service-wide protocols and principles of care.
About the Endeavour Team
The position provides services to consumers of the Endeavour Neurodevelopmental Psychiatry Team. The Endeavour Neurodevelopmental Psychiatry Team is a specialist assessment and consultation team thatcompletes assessments of Infant, Child, and Youth Area Mental Health & Wellbeing Service clients who show complex neurological, developmental, behavioural, and psychiatric symptoms.
The focus of the position is to provide services to consumers who present with one or more areas of neurodivergence as defined broadly: Autism Spectrum Disorder; Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder; emotional and behavioural change due to organic causes (neurological); tic disorders; Intellectual Developmental Disorder; Specific Learning Disorders; motor skill disorders and communication disorders. In addition, many of these clients experience co-occurring mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, personality disorders, and eating disorders. Young people experiencing these difficulties also may have complex psychosocial factors affecting their development and functioning.
About the Role
The role is that of a senior clinician who has training, qualifications, and experience in discipline-specific assessment of young people with neurodivergence and mental health problems. We are seeking a Senior Clinician for this role. The Senior Clinician will provide secondary consultations to Youth Mental Health Program clinicians, and will also complete discipline specific assessments and specialist autism assessment. They will provide therapeutic assessment and feedback, sometimes in collaboration with other members of the Targeted assessment team from different disciplines and/or with members of the Youth Mental Health Program teams, and write reports. They will provide leadership within the Endeavour team. As Endeavour also represents the hub of discipline specific work within ICYAMHWS, the Senior Clinician will hold knowledge of evidence-based assessment in the area of neurodiversity and mental health and will share this knowledge with the Youth Mental Health Program.
About You
You will have:
- An ability to work independently as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in or willingness to upskill as necessary in assessment of neurodivergence (e.g. ADOS, MIGDAS etc.)
- Experienced in discipline-specific assessment using relevant assessment tools

The Children’s Health and Wellbeing Local is an integrated service supporting children aged 0–11 years and their families across Greater Dandenong, Casey and Cardinia. Bringing together community health, mental health and family support services, the Children’s Local provides wellbeing support, care coordination and therapeutic intervention for children experiencing developmental, behavioural and mental health concerns.
Our main site is located at Cranbourne Integrated Care Centre, with additional services delivered across the local catchment. Our interdisciplinary team works together to provide accessible, family-centred care that considers the whole child and the important people and environments around them.
About You
You are a Social Worker or Occupational Therapist who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and families. You enjoy working collaboratively, building relationships and helping families navigate services, particularly where there may be additional barriers to accessing care. You will bring:
- A recognised degree in Social Work or Occupational Therapy (Bachelor or Master level), including relevant overseas qualifications assessed by the appropriate Australian professional organisation
- Eligibility for AASW membership for Social Workers or current AHPRA registration for Occupational Therapists
- Experience working with children aged 0–11 years and their families, including children experiencing vulnerability or risk
- Understanding of contemporary evidence and practice relevant to children and families
- Strong communication, assessment and collaborative working skills
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team

- Current Driver Licence
- Previous experience within a healthcare setting is desirable
