You will bring your patient and empathetic nature alongside experience in delivering person centred, trauma informed services that are culturally appropriate. To be successful you will possess:
- Applicants must be qualified mental health professionals who hold current registration, accreditation, credentialing, or recognition with the relevant Australian professional body and have experience working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges and diagnosed mental health disorders. This may include: Psychiatrist, Clinical Psychologist, Registered Psychologist, Provisionally Registered Psychologist (working under the required supervision arrangements), Mental Health Accredited Occupational Therapist, Mental Health Accredited Social Worker and Aboriginal Health Professional.
- Demonstrated expertise in supporting people with complex mental health issues, including conducting assessments, safety planning, and managing care coordination.
- Strong abilities in leading clinical assessments and crafting tailored care plans.
- Experiencein overseeing multidisciplinary teams and working collaboratively with community health and service partners.
- Prior leadership experience in clinical governance, quality assurance, and supervising staff is highly desirable.
- Show flexibility to work in regional or remote environments, with a strong commitment to cultural sensitivity, equity, and inclusion.

As the Clinical Lead at headspace Karratha, you will lead a passionate multidisciplinary team dedicated to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of young people across the Pilbara. Working alongside clinicians, private practitioners, families and community partners, you will provide clinical leadership, supervision and guidance to ensure young people receive high-quality, evidence-based care. This is an opportunity to influence service delivery, strengthen clinical practice and help shape positive outcomes for young people, while contributing to a welcoming, inclusive and culturally safe environment.

This is a full time (37.5 hrs per week, Monday to Friday) maximum-term position until 29 January 2027, based in Karratha.
Desired Skills and Experience
What you will bring!
You will bring strong clinical leadership skills, a passion for youth mental health, and experience delivering evidence-based, trauma-informed and culturally responsive services. To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Applicants must be mental health professionals who hold registration with an accredited Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or relevant professional association and have experience working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges and diagnosed mental health disorders.This may include: Clinical Psychologist, Registered Psychologist, Provisional Psychologist, Registered Nurse with appropriate mental health experience and skills, Mental Health Occupational Therapist, Mental Health Social Worker.
- Demonstrated experience providing assessment, intervention and care coordination for young people experiencing mental health challenges, including complex presentations and risk management.
- Proven experience providing clinical leadership, supervision and support to multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in clinical governance, quality improvement and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based services.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with young people, families, community partners and health professionals.
- Show flexibility to work in regional or remote environments, with a strong commitment to cultural sensitivity, equity, and inclusion.
The successful candidate must possess a current WA Working with Children Check and a WA Driver's License.Additionally, the role requires a current (or willingness to obtain) National Police Clearance. Please note a police record is not an automatic barrier to employment with us. Remuneration and benefits
- Salary starting from $135,435per annum (inclusive of 10% remote localities allowance)+ 12% super
- Tax-free salary packaging benefits up to $15,900 per annum
- Rent subsidy up to $350 per week and electricity allowance up to $1000 per annum available (eligibility criteria apply)
- Additional 8days of annual leave per year
