The Registered Nurse using best practice evidence delivers person-centered nursing care in collaboration with individual/s and the multidisciplinary health care team. Provides supervision and support for less experienced clinicians to achieve people focused quality care.

The Role

Mid North Coast Integrated Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs (IMHAOD) will implement a new Emergency Mental Health & Addiction Assessment Team (EMHAART) service that provides safe and easily accessible pathways aimed at improving consumer outcomes and experiences. The service will provide advice, triage, initial assessment, and referral service to facilitate access to the appropriate mental health or substance use disorders (SUD) services for the people of MNCLHD across their lifespan. MNCLHD has a wide distribution of consumers that have challenges accessing services resulting in the need to refine and centralise ‘front-end’ 24/7 referral, access, and entry pathways as a priority to IMHAOD services.
This position will be working in a multi-disciplinary team to deliver MHAOD services to the consumers which include intake, triage and assessment as part of the EMHAART. About You

The Team
Occupational Therapy Services at Hospitals North West provide high-quality, client-centred occupational therapy to inpatients, outpatients and community clients across the North West region of Tasmania.
The team works as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare environment, supporting consumers across medical, surgical, rehabilitation and orthopaedic services, as well as paediatrics and community-based programs. The Role
This role would suit a new graduate or an experienced Occupational Therapist, offering a supported development program within Occupational Therapy Services. You will have the opportunity to rotate across a range of service areas, building clinical capability through a diverse caseload and a strong community focus.
The position offers structured supervision and professional support, making it ideal for clinicians early in their career, while also providing scope for experienced therapists to further develop and diversify their skills.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions for inpatients, outpatients and community clients across a rotating caseload
- Work collaboratively with senior occupational therapists and multidisciplinary team members to achieve positive client outcomes

About the Service
As an Enrolled Nurse in the Nurse Bank at Goulburn Base Hospital, you will provide nursing support across a variety of clinical areas, delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care while gaining exposure to different specialties and teams. The Nurse Bank provides an excellent opportunity to broaden your clinical experience, develop adaptability, and build relationships across the hospital. Based on your skills, experience, interests and clinical capabilities, there may be an opportunity to be matched to a suitable ward or clinical area prior to commencement. Working across diverse ward environments will also provide opportunities to further develop your skills and identify areas that align with your professional interests and career goals, with the potential to transition into a position within a suitable ward as opportunities arise.

What you'll be doing
The Enrolled Nurse works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse, to provide person-centered care, in collaboration with individual/s and the multidisciplinary health care team to achieve people focused quality care.
Selection Criteria
- Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse with evidence of recent clinical experience and skills in relation to the position, and a strong commitment to maintaining professional competence.
- Demonstrated effective professional verbal and written communication within a diverse multidisciplinary team.
