About the Role
A Nurse Practitioner is a registered nurse educated and authorised to function autonomously and collaboratively in an advanced and extended clinical role. Key duties of the role- Establish and monitor agreed goals, priorities and expectations for clinical analytics projects and teams through each stage of analytics development and delivery
- Ensure that end-user attendance, competency assessment and / or course evaluations are completed for training sessions
- Contribute to the generation of ideas for the improvement and review of work practices
- Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Effective leadership skills, including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation
- Registered Nurse / Midwife with at least three years post registration experience
- Expert knowledge of workflows in the nominated area of expertise and practical experience.

- undertake experimental research using advanced laser diagnostics of combustion in high-speed flows
- work with state-of-the-art experimental facilities, including novel subsonic and supersonic burners and advanced laser diagnostic facilities
- completed PhD in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- demonstrated research experience in combustion, compressible or high-speed fluid dynamics, supersonic/reacting flows, experimental fluid mechanics or laser diagnostics experience using sophisticated experimental techniques, especially laser diagnostics and combustion or fluid-flow experiments
- would be highly relevant experience in designing novel burners and setting up complex experimental combustion rigs
- ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary research environment and collaborate with academic researchers, research students and industry partners

You will

About the role

About The RoleIn this position, you will deliver comprehensive clinical assessments and provide psychiatric care and treatment for children and adolescent in the community and inpatient setting. The caseloads are extremely manageable, and being on the on-call roster for the regional psychiatric service is negotiable.
There is a strong commitment to ongoing education, training, and research with ongoing projects and links with the local Rural Clinical School and local Universities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical governance across the Great Southern for the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Stream in consultation with the CAMHS Regional Team Leader.
Deliver comprehensive clinical assessments, diagnoses, and psychiatric treatment, ensuring that best practice clinical interventions are provided for children and adolescents.
Liaise and confer regularly with general practitioners, paediatricians and other health care professionals.
Supervise and mentor medical students, junior doctors and rural training psychiatry registrars.
Participate in continuing professional development and contribute to education, training and research projects relevant to the mental health service.
Provide a secondary consultation service during clinic hours for General Practitioners in the catchment area.
Participate in the on-call roster for the mental health team and the Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) roster (negotiable).
Supervised practice placements for Specialist International Medical Graduates (SIMGs) holding a specialist college assessment cannot be supported for this opportunity. Only applicants eligible for the Expedited Specialist Pathway with AHPRA will be considered.
Great Southern Mental Health DepartmentThe Great Southern Mental Health Service is a well-established service comprising of Child and Adolescent, Adult community and Consultant Liaison service.
