The Opportunity
NNSWLHD is seeking a visionary and accomplished executive leader to take on the role of District Director of Nursing and Midwifery Services.
As the most senior nursing and midwifery leader in the district, this high-profile executive position provides strategic leadership, professional governance and workforce oversight across all nursing and midwifery services. The role plays a critical part in shaping clinical standards, workforce sustainability, organisational performance and the future direction of care delivery across Northern NSW.

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Tertiary qualifications in leadership, management or a related field.
- Extensive executive leadership experience within a complex health service environment.
- Demonstrated success leading workforce strategy, professional governance and organisational reform.
- Strong financial, operational and people leadership capability.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across complex systems.

Liverpool Hospital is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead a genuinely different approach to safety culture. This is an opportunity to shape and lead a major Nursing and Midwifery cultural transformation program at Liverpool Hospital, bringing together leadership, positive psychology, psychological safety and a evidence-based approach.

About the role
Lismore Base Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 (CNS2) – Clinical Risk Resource Nurse (CRRN) to join the team.

The Mental Health Ambulance and Police Project (MHAPP) Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) will provide a highly mobile, recovery orientated clinical assessment, consultancy and support to NSW Ambulance and Police managing mental health related cases in the community. They will also provide clinical leadership in virtual assessment of consumers in the community who are geographically isolated.
The MHAPP CNC works with NSW Ambulance and Police to provide mental health triage, primary consumer assessment and management of complex mental health emergencies and crises at an advanced level. The position holder will be required to possess extensive knowledge of mental health disorders and demonstrated clinical practices to provide support, treatment, coordination and education to emergency services who work with consumers with complex mental and physical health needs. The HIRAID® Inpatient CNC is responsible for delivering and monitoring of the project across ISLHD under the guidance of Dr. Baylie Trostian and Prof. Kate Curtis. They will be the clinical liaison, working closely with ward CNCs and CNEs to evaluate HIRAID® and collect data from patients, clinicians and medical records. The role requires an experienced nurse, with attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated excellence in education and training, an understanding of data collection and knowledge of the ISLHD clinical and administrative systems. To ensure that HIRAID® Inpatient is fit-for-purpose, a comprehensive understanding of acute hospital inpatient nursing practice is needed.

The Role

About the Role
In this role, the Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to elderly people in a hospital setting, working collaboratively with allied health professionals, the medical team and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic, person-centred care to the aged care population. The role will involve medication management, complex wound care, supervising Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing, as well as conducting comprehensive assessments and developing and implementing individualised nursing care plans.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of patient centred; evidence informed nursing care that promotes identified health outcomes. The Registered Nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Ideal Candidate
- Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Understanding of evidence informed practice and critical thinking.
- Effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in Hospital & experience working with aged care patients.
