Senior Child Protection Practitioner roles, Inner Eastern Melbourne Area:To be an effective Senior Child Protection Practitioner, you will have a strong sense of social justice and understand that families are complex, with their own unique histories. Importantly, you will be able to collaborate with the Team Manager to strengthen case practice, provide effective service delivery and to support other practitioners in the development of plans to bring about the changes necessary to ensure the safety, stability and development of children and young people.
At the CPP5.1 Senior Practitioner level, you will supervise team members in daily tasks through a structured and supportive learning program. This role will hold a caseload commensurate with supervisory responsibilities.
The transportation of children is a requirement of this role, as such a valid driver's licence and willingness to travel, including in country regions is essential. There may be the requirement to work overnight and, travel in evenings and early mornings. On occasions, additional hours may be required to ensure the wellbeing of children. Department vehicles are used to support this role.
Key responsibilities for Senior Child Protection Practitioner, include:- assist others to reflect on interpersonal interactions, encouraging self-reflection to enhance relationships and communication
- establish and maintain strong relationships with the team, colleagues and other stakeholders
- develop and coach others in their understanding of risk assessment and analysis

The Senior Case Manager will focus on the provision of intensive levels of support and case management to young people aged 12 -18 who are most "at risk" in the community. - Demonstrated experience and skills in a range of specialised assessments and interventions suitable for consumers with a Mental Health problem and a disability, including but not limited to intellectual disability
- Demonstrated experience providing consultation and sharing clinical expertise with teams in a way that builds the capacity of other professionals to enhance their service delivery, including the ability to translate knowledge to both clinical and non-clinical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across inpatient and community settings, with advanced communication and interpersonal skills, to foster cooperative partnerships to support inclusive health care delivery for people with intellectual disabilities
- Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to work autonomously within a broad scope and manage a demanding workload with competing priorities with minimum direct clinical supervision
- Demonstrated ability to work within a recovery orientated framework, including collaborating with consumers, their families and carers, to achieve outcomes that support consumer's recovery
- Driver's license and willingness to use same for work purposes

Team Manager, Child Protection roles in Wimmera South West Area:
The Child Protection Team Manager is responsible for effective service delivery, managing resources and budget, cases awaiting allocation and small teams of practitioners. The Team Manager has the formal delegation to endorse and review case plans to bring about the changes necessary to ensure the safety, stability and development of children and young people and to promote the achievement of case plan objectives within specified timeframes. About the RFMHS:Embedded within Forensicare's Community Directorate, the Regional Forensic Mental Health Service (RFMHS) comprise eight teams across the state - one in each Wellbeing region (three in metropolitan Melbourne and five in regional Victoria). These teams operate as 'spokes' to Forensicare's central Community Forensic Mental Health Services (CFMHS) 'hub'.

As a Senior Mental Health Clinician, you will provide inclusive mental health and well being services that are culturally safe and deliver impactful rehabilitative care to a diverse prison population. About the Role

Court Support Services delivers specialist therapeutic programs, including the Court Integrated Services Program (CISP) and the Assessment and Referral Court (ARC). Through a client-centred and problem-solving approach, these programs support people facing challenges such as mental illness, disability, substance use, cognitive impairment, homelessness and other forms of social disadvantage.
As an Advanced Case Manager, you will provide high-level case management support to clients with complex mental health and disability support needs, helping them engage with rehabilitation, access critical services and achieve positive outcomes.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will undertake comprehensive assessments, develop tailored support plans, coordinate treatment and support services, and provide expert advice to the Court. You will also play a key role in mentoring case managers and driving practice improvements across the program.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver advanced, strengths-based case management to clients with complex psychosocial needs.
- Conduct assessments and develop person-centred support and treatment plans.
- Coordinate and monitor access to housing, mental health, alcohol and other drug services, family violence interventions and other supports.
- Identify and manage client risks through effective risk management and harm minimisation strategies.
- Prepare high-quality court reports and provide advice to the Court as required.
- Coach and mentor case managers, sharing specialist knowledge and expertise.
- Build strong relationships with judiciary, legal professionals, community services and internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen service delivery and client outcomes.
About You
Tertiary qualification (minimum Diploma level; degree level highly desirable) relevant to case management practice with forensic clients; such as social work, psychology, welfare, drug and alcohol or another related field, and/or relevant experience.
Demonstrated capacity or experience in case management of clients presenting with complex needs, with well developed knowledge and/or relevant experience in at least one of the following speciality areas: mental health, acquired brain injury, disability, alcohol and substance use, family violence, or homelessness highly desirable.
Experience in or demonstrated capacity to provide coaching and mentoring to case managers, particularly within an area of advanced knowledge or experience.
