What you'll be doing
Practicing and promoting safe, efficient and effective nursing care for people experiencing mental health problems that reflect current National practice standards for mental health, current standards of nursing practices and current Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures.
All nursing positions are expected to be able to work across all components of the mental health service including inpatient and community-based services.
About You
You are a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Registered Nurse with current registration through the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a strong commitment to supporting individuals experiencing mental health challenges. You bring demonstrated clinical knowledge, skills, and experience within mental health services, enabling you to provide recovery-oriented, person-centred care that promotes positive outcomes for consumers and their families.
You are recognised for your sound clinical judgement and problem-solving abilities, using comprehensive assessment and critical thinking skills to respond effectively to complex and evolving patient needs. Your ability to make informed clinical decisions ensures the delivery of safe, evidence-based care while supporting consumers throughout their mental health journey.
A confident and effective communicator, you utilise strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and information technology skills to engage with consumers, carers, and colleagues in a professional and respectful manner. You excel in building therapeutic relationships and fostering collaboration to support recovery-focused care planning and service delivery.
Working effectively within multidisciplinary teams, you have proven ability to coordinate, implement, and evaluate patient care that is outcome-focused and tailored to individual needs. Organised, adaptable, and resilient, you thrive in dynamic clinical environments and are committed to maintaining high standards of care while participating in a seven-day rotating roster, including night duty, weekends, and public holidays, to ensure continuity and accessibility of mental health services.

What you'll be doing
Mid North Coast Integrated Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs (IMHAOD) will implement a new Emergency Mental Health & Addiction Assessment Team (EMHAART) service that provides safe and easily accessible pathways aimed at improving consumer outcomes and experiences. The service will provide advice, triage, initial assessment, and referral service to facilitate access to the appropriate mental health or substance use disorders (SUD) services for the people of MNCLHD across their lifespan. MNCLHD has a wide distribution of consumers that have challenges accessing services resulting in the need to refine and centralise ‘front-end’ 24/7 referral, access, and entry pathways as a priority to IMHAOD services.
This position will be working in a multi-disciplinary team to deliver MHAOD services to the consumers which include intake, triage and assessment as part of the EMHAART. Practice and promote safe, efficient and effective nursing care that reflects current standards of nursing practices and current Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures.
To work collaboratively with other service providers/agencies to promote assertive and timely service delivery for clients in the provision of holistic evidence-based care in accordance with MNCLHD and Ministry of Health policies and directive.
About You
You are a highly capable and compassionate Registered Nurse with current registration through the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and experience delivering high-quality care across outpatient and acute hospital settings. You bring strong clinical knowledge and well-developed nursing skills, enabling you to provide comprehensive assessment, intervention, and support to consumers while maintaining a focus on safe, person-centred care.
You are recognised for your clinical problem-solving abilities and your capacity to make sound decisions in complex and dynamic healthcare environments. With a strong understanding of Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs (MHAOD) services, you are skilled in frontline intake, triage, and comprehensive MHAOD assessments, ensuring consumers receive timely, appropriate, and effective care pathways.
Your excellent communication skills, supported by proficiency in information technology and clinical documentation, allow you to engage effectively with consumers, families, carers, and healthcare professionals. You are adept at building therapeutic relationships and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate and deliver outcome-focused care tailored to individual needs.
Organised, adaptable, and committed to excellence, you are experienced in managing competing priorities while maintaining high standards of care and professionalism. You thrive in team-based environments, contribute positively to service delivery, and are dedicated to improving health outcomes for consumers. With a current driver's licence and the flexibility to participate in a seven-day rotating roster, including public holidays and night duty, you are well equipped to support the needs of both the service and the community.

Registrar – Addiction Medicine Advanced Trainee | SALHN Drug & Alcohol Services SA
Join SALHN Drug and Alcohol Services as an Advanced Trainee Registrar in Addiction Medicine and build Fellowship-level expertise within one of South Australia's largest public health networks. About the role:

About you:
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with General Registration,

- Current registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA),

About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist to work in our multidisciplinary Spasticity Clinic based in the Specialist Ambulatory and Rehabilitation Centre (SpARC) at Modbury. Your Role in Rehabilitation
Working within the multidisciplinary NARS Spasticity Clinic, you will deliver expert occupational therapy assessment and intervention for patients with upper and lower limb spasticity across a range of neurological conditions. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive OT assessments and developing goal-directed treatment plans for patients attending the Spasticity Clinic
- Collaborating closely with medical, nursing, and allied health colleagues to coordinate Botulinum Toxin injection programs and post-injection therapy
- Providing clinical supervision and professional support to Allied Health Assistants within the team
- Contributing to service development, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice initiatives within NARS
What You Bring
- Demonstrated experience in neurological or rehabilitation OT, with exposure to spasticity management highly regarded
- Sound knowledge of upper limb splinting, functional goal-setting, and assistive technology relevant to spasticity presentations
- Proven ability to work autonomously and exercise senior-level clinical judgement
- Experience providing supervision or mentorship within an allied health team
- Familiarity with SA Health clinical frameworks and the public health system is an advantage

About the Role:
The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join The Gully, Northeast Clinical Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program team.
The Gully is a recovery focused rehabilitation program for people aged 18 to 65 years who have a lived experience of mental illness. The program provides clients an opportunity to work towards recovery goals through group work and individual sessions. The program’s occupational focus aims to facilitate change and support engagement in activities of daily living, work, social participation and interests.
The Gully coordinates the NECMHS OT Clinic. This service offers occupational therapy assessments and includes an intervention plan and recommendations based on the consumer’s occupational goals.
These services operate in the Northeast at Modbury.
Your Role in the Program
Working part time on an ongoing basis, you will deliver specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention within a psychosocial rehabilitation framework, while contributing to the broader clinical direction of the team.
- Conduct comprehensive functional and occupational assessments for adults with complex mental health needs
- Design and implement individualised, recovery-focused intervention plans in collaboration with consumers, carers, and the multidisciplinary team
- Provide clinical supervision, mentoring, and professional leadership to junior OT staff and students
- Contribute to leadership, clinical overview, program development, quality improvement, and outcome measurement across The Gully North East service
What You Bring
- Substantial post-graduate experience in mental health, with a demonstrated understanding of psychosocial rehabilitation principles
- Leadership experience and values prioritising psychological safety of staff
- Proven ability to apply a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed approach within a community or outpatient mental health setting
- Experience providing clinical supervision or formal mentoring to less experienced clinicians
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to engage meaningfully with consumers, families, and inter-agency partners
- Familiarity with SA Health policy frameworks and the Mental Health Act 2009 (SA) is highly regarded
To be eligible for this position, you must have an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification with registration as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA.

- Contributing to service improvement initiatives and supporting junior staff and students within the team

As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred rehabilitation care across the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN). Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team at Modbury Hospital, your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing, planning, and coordinating individualised rehabilitation programs for patients with complex needs
- Providing clinical consultation and expert advice to the broader multidisciplinary team
- Supporting safe and timely transitions of care, including discharge planning in partnership with community services
- Contributing to service improvement initiatives and quality activities within NARS
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated clinical experience in rehabilitation, subacute, or a closely related inpatient setting
- Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills applied to patients with multifactorial presentations
- Proven ability to work effectively within and contribute to a multidisciplinary team
- Understanding of the SA Health patient care framework and commitment to safety and quality standards

To be eligible for this position, you must have a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration in Rehabilitation Medicine; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers award.
