Team Manager, Child Protection roles in Wimmera South West Area:
The Child Protection Team Manager is responsible for effective service delivery, managing resources and budget, cases awaiting allocation and small teams of practitioners. The Team Manager has the formal delegation to endorse and review case plans to bring about the changes necessary to ensure the safety, stability and development of children and young people and to promote the achievement of case plan objectives within specified timeframes. The position will work collaboratively with the Senior Child Protection Practitioners to strengthen case practice, provide effective service delivery and to support other practitioners.
The transportation of children is a requirement of this role, as such a valid driver's licence and willingness to travel, including in country regions is essential. There may be the requirement to work overnight and, travel in evenings and early mornings. On occasions, additional hours may be required to ensure the wellbeing of children. Department vehicles are used to support this role.
Some of the key responsibilities for Team Managers, include:
- leading planning, review and management of their own and team members' case work
- reviewing team documents including court reports, case plans and assessments, ensuring reporting obligations are met
- establishing and maintaining strong relationships with their team, colleagues and other stakeholders

We are seeking a Senior Quality Associate to join Value Stream Quality Assurance team. This role is critical in ensuring the ongoing compliance, quality oversight, and continuous improvement of manufacturing and support processes in QA Fractionation.
The role provides real-time and post-event QA oversight across manufacturing and support activities, including quality decision-making, batch documentation review, deviation and change control assessment, risk-based advice, and support for batch disposition and release timelines.
The successful candidate will bring both breadth and depth of operational quality experience, strong critical thinking, and the confidence to make sound, risk-based decisions in support of manufacturing, compliance, product quality and patient safety.
This is a permanent, full-time position with standard business hours, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities- Provide real-time GEMBA and post-event QA oversight across manufacturing and support activities to ensure compliance, product quality and patient safety.
- Provide timely, risk-based QA guidance to Operations and support escalation, manufacturing, batch disposition and release timeline decisions.
- Review and approve batch documentation, quality risk assessments, validation/technical records and GMP documentation to ensure compliance with CSL procedures and regulatory expectations.
- Assess, support and/or manage deviations, investigations, CAPAs and change controls, including review of root cause, impact assessment, risk classification, CAPA robustness and timely closure.
- Partner with Operations and support functions to resolve quality issues, maintain supply continuity and ensure decisions are scientifically justified and well documented.
- Contribute to audit and inspection readiness, including support for internal and external audit activities as required.
- Coach and guide stakeholders on GMP, deviation management, documentation standards and quality expectations.
- Drive continuous improvement in quality systems, documentation practices, investigation quality, metrics performance and ways of working.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Science, Biological Sciences or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar QA, operational quality, manufacturing quality, technical support or regulated manufacturing role.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, biologicals, plasma, sterile manufacturing, medical device or other highly regulated GMP manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated ability to make timely, risk-based quality decisions and provide sound justification in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience reviewing and/or supporting deviations, investigations, CAPAs and change controls, including root cause analysis, impact assessment and CAPA effectiveness.
- Strong understanding of cGMP and regulatory expectations, including TGA, FDA and PIC/S requirements.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical judgement and ability to challenge, influence and resolve issues constructively.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to partner effectively with Operations while maintaining independent QA oversight.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and drive activities to timely and compliant closure.
- Experience with batch documentation review, quality risk assessments, validation/technical documentation, inspection readiness and quality metrics would be highly regarded.

The OpportunityThe Multicultural and Multifaith Senior Mental Health Clinician is a specialist senior clinical position within the Custodial Forensic Youth Mental Health Service (FYMHS).
Custodial FYMHS provides specialist multidisciplinary mental health assessment, treatment, consultation, care coordination and transition support to young people within Victoria's youth justice custodial system. Young people involved in the youth justice system come from diverse cultural, linguistic, religious and spiritual backgrounds. Their experiences of mental health, help-seeking, family, identity, trauma, justice involvement and recovery may be shaped by culture, faith, migration and settlement experiences, experiences of racism and discrimination, family and community relationships, and connection to culture and belonging.
This newly established role will strengthen FYMHS' capacity to understand and respond to these experiences and ensure culturally safe and responsive practice is embedded within mental health assessment, risk assessment, formulation, treatment, recovery planning, multidisciplinary decision-making and transition from custody.
Working as both a senior clinician and specialist practice resource, you will provide direct clinical care while strengthening the capability of clinicians, multidisciplinary teams and the broader service to deliver culturally safe and responsive care.
You will use specialist cultural knowledge, community perspectives and advanced clinical expertise to influence individual care, multidisciplinary formulation and decision-making, transition planning, workforce capability and broader service development.
The role will also support stronger connections between FYMHS, families, community organisations, cultural and faith-based services and other relevant supports, helping to promote continuity of care and culturally responsive transition and reintegration planning for young people moving from custody back into the community.
About YouYou are an experienced senior mental health clinician who combines strong clinical expertise with a demonstrated commitment to culturally safe, equitable and person-centred mental health care.
You are curious and reflective in your practice and recognise that cultural identity is individual, dynamic and intersectional. You are comfortable having thoughtful conversations about culture, faith, spirituality, identity, family, racism, discrimination and belonging and can support other clinicians and teams to develop confidence and capability in doing the same.
You will bring:
- Professional qualification as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse, Psychologist, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist, with relevant registration and/or professional eligibility requirements.
- Eligibility for appointment at RPN Grade 4 / Grade 4 Occupational Therapist / Social Worker or Grade 3 Psychologist, as applicable.
- At least 5 years' relevant clinical experience in tertiary, specialist and/or youth mental health services, with demonstrated capacity to work at a senior clinician level.
- Demonstrated advanced clinical expertise in comprehensive mental health assessment, risk assessment, formulation, treatment, care coordination and recovery-oriented care for young people experiencing complex mental health needs.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake complex clinical and forensic formulation, contribute to multidisciplinary risk assessment and decision-making, and provide high-level clinical consultation within complex service environments.
- Demonstrated specialist knowledge and expertise in multicultural and/or multifaith practice, developed through substantial professional experience, community engagement and/or sustained relationships with culturally diverse communities and organisations.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively with young people, families and communities from diverse cultural, linguistic, religious and spiritual backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to work respectfully and collaboratively with community leaders, cultural organisations, faith communities and other representative organisations.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clinical consultation, supervision, mentoring and capability building to multidisciplinary mental health clinicians and teams.
- Ability to translate cultural knowledge, community perspectives and emerging evidence into practical improvements in clinical assessment, formulation, treatment planning, transition planning and broader service delivery.
- Strong understanding of the ways culture, faith, spirituality, migration and settlement experiences, racism, discrimination, family, community and identity may intersect with mental health, help-seeking, engagement and recovery.
- Sound understanding of the youth justice and/or criminal justice system and relevant forensic, health, community and social service systems.
- Strong interpersonal, consultation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across mental health, justice, family, community, cultural and faith-based systems.
Experience working within youth justice, forensic mental health or with justice-involved young people will be highly regarded.
