About the Role
The Unit 2 ANM supports the Nurse Manager in leading a dynamic youth mental health inpatient unit, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and Recovery-focused care. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, the role provides clinical leadership, staff support, patient flow coordination, and operational oversight while fostering a positive therapeutic environment for young people and their families. The Speech Pathologist Range 5 is a senior professional and leadership position within Ascot Vale Heights School. The position is a member of the school's leadership team and is accountable for the effective leadership, coordination and development of Allied Health services across the school.
The position provides high-level professional expertise in speech pathology and leads the development and delivery of services that support student learning, communication, participation, wellbeing and independence. The role works strategically with school leaders, teachers, Education Support staff, students, families and external professionals to ensure Allied Health services are responsive to the needs of the school and aligned with the School Strategic Plan.
The Speech Pathologist Range 5 manages the Allied Health team, including supporting professional practice, establishing priorities, coordinating service delivery, developing staff capability and ensuring effective collaboration across disciplines. The position contributes to the development of whole-school approaches, systems and practices that build the capacity of staff and improve outcomes for students.

The Nurse Unit Manager you will play a pivotal role within Arcare; having the responsibility for providing leadership and oversight of the care team within a specific unit.

Your key responsibilities will be:
- Resident Care: Ensuring the delivery of high-quality and person-centered care to residents, addressing their specific medical, physical, and emotional needs

- Care Planning: Overseeing the development and implementation of individual care plans for each resident, considering their unique health requirements and preferences
