seeking an experienced radiographer to join our specialist veterinary hospital in Miranda, a ten-month appointment commencing December 2026, including a handover period before covering nine months of leave, with the potential for ongoing employment.
This position has a particular focus on supporting our neurology service through high-quality MRI and CT imaging. There is potential for the role to continue beyond the initial term, depending on
service demand and the successful candidate's skills. This position is collaborative and works across several departments, including internal medicine, surgery, anaesthesia, cardiology and neurology and alongside our
human sonographers who have been working with our animal patients for 5 years now, from human healthcare.
Radiographers from human healthcare are encouraged to apply. Previous veterinary experience is not
essential. We will provide veterinary-specific onboarding and support as you become familiar with our patients, positioning and imaging protocols. You will also work alongside sonographers who transitioned from human healthcare and have been imaging our veterinary patients for five years.
The roleWorking closely with our veterinary clinicians and nursing team, you will:
- Perform MRI and CT examinations, with a particular emphasis on neurological cases.
- Deliver high-quality brain and spine imaging to support clinical assessment and treatment planning.
- Adapt imaging protocols in consultation with the clinical team.
- Assess image quality, troubleshoot artefacts and complete appropriate reconstructions.
- Maintain MRI and radiation safety standards, imaging records and quality assurance processes.
- Coordinate imaging efficiently within a busy specialist hospital.
- Our anaesthesia team manages anaesthesia, physiological monitoring and anaesthetic patient care throughout scanning, allowing you to focus on image acquisition and quality while maintaining MRI and radiation safety.
You bring:
- A recognised qualification in diagnostic radiography or medical imaging.
- Strong practical MRI experience and competence in CT.
- Experience in brain and spine MRI.
- Sound judgement in MRI safety, protocol selection and image optimisation.

Visiting Medical Officer Cardiologist, Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital (TRRH)
Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital is seeking a suitably qualified cardiologist to join a growing regional cardiology service. This role suits a clinician who can practise independently, contribute to a broad general cardiology workload, and help shape contemporary services across both inpatient and outpatient care. Mentoring opportunities are available for young consultants, and senior consultants are also welcome to apply.Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Cardiology), and/or overseas trained specialist pathways is an essential criteria for this position.
Applicants may bring a wide range of interests and procedural skills. Experience in one or more of the following is advantageous but not essential: coronary angiography and catheterisation, coronary intervention, transoesophageal echocardiography, cardiac implantable electronic device implantation, CT coronary angiography, and cardiac MRI. The position can be tailored to the successful applicant's scope of practice and development goals, with opportunities to consolidate existing skills and expand practice over time.
The successful applicant will participate in the cardiology and acute care roster, including on call responsibilities and weekend ward rounds as required. They will provide comprehensive outpatient cardiology care for Tamworth and surrounding communities, with the option to deliver services through public outpatient clinics and or private consulting rooms. There are strong opportunities to develop a mixed public private practice, supported by an established referral base. You will join a collegial team of four local cardiologists, alongside a broad specialist workforce at TRRH. The service maintains close clinical links with tertiary Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery services in Newcastle, enabling shared care, streamlined referral pathways, and regular specialist-to-specialist collaboration.
The role includes a strong teaching and leadership component. The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to mentor junior medical officers, including cardiology advanced trainees, and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining high standards of independent clinical practice.
Tamworth Hospital is a large rural referral and major trauma hospital that supports a substantial regional catchment. It has a 24 hour emergency department and a broad medical and surgical base, which creates consistent exposure to acute cardiology, perioperative medicine, and complex comorbidity.
For cardiology, the hospital has a Coronary Care Unit and ICU and is supported by an onsite cardiac catheterisation laboratory, enabling genuine acute coronary and procedural pathways within a regional setting. The CCL performs over 1000 procedures annually, with a dedicated 6bed recovery area adjacent to the Coronary Care Unit, supporting efficient patient flow and close day to day collaboration across the cardiac service.
The service sits within a wider network across Hunter New England, with established escalation and shared care links to tertiary services in Newcastle including John Hunter Hospital for cardiothoracic surgery and higher complexity cases.
Mandatory requirements of this role include:
Admitting, consultative, diagnostic, procedural, outpatient, telehealth and on-call services as determined and required by HNELHD
Attendance and availability during rostered work hours and whilst on call including clinical handover, clinical supervision, teaching and for emergency and routine care as determined and required by HNELHD

1. A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Cardiology), and/or overseas trained specialist pathways.

About the roleAs a Peer Support Worker, you will provide meaningful support to individuals living with mental illness through shared lived experience and practical guidance. The successful candidate will have lived experience of mental health challenges and experience working with people who have complex needs including mental health challenges in order to effectively support individuals and work towards their goals.

The Clinical Nurse Educator will work in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager to lead, coordinate, develop and implement structured learning and professional development programs for nursing staff within the Virtual Care Service (VCS).
The Clinical Nurse Educator will provide clinical education, orientation, competency assessment, skills accreditation and professional development support for nursing staff delivering virtual, clinic-based and outreach nursing care. They will promote evidence-based practice, support the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centred care, and contribute to continuous improvement across the service.
The Clinical Nurse Educator will contribute to the delivery of NSLHD Nursing Orientation, mandatory education and service-specific training. They will also develop and facilitate education programs relevant to virtual models of nursing care and may teach in nursing courses within NSLHD and at external organisations, including travel to other sites within the LHD as required.

The Frontline Support Services (FSS) project is an initiative that realigns defined administrative, procedural and preparatory tasks from frontline police to a dedicated support workforce of Frontline Support Officers (FSOs). FSS operates as a division of Continuous Improvement, Uplift, and Technology, and its ultimate mission is to return capacity to frontline members for patrol, response, visible policing and active investigation.
The project has established the FSS operating model, recruited and deployed a growing workforce of FSOs, and introduced comprehensive monitoring to determine whether the anticipated benefits of the initiative are being realised. The Innovation stream is responsible for the continuous improvement of the FSS model, guiding it from establishment through to maturity and expansion, and identifying further opportunities to improve frontline service delivery.
The Senior Research Officer will design and deliver a program of applied research and evaluation to inform the future development of FSS. The role will investigate emerging service models, assess the effectiveness and impact of existing initiatives, establish the evidence base for new opportunities, and translate complex findings into clear advice for senior decision-makers. The role will draw on advanced qualitative and quantitative research methods and work across operational policing, organisational design, workforce reform, and continuous improvement.

About the RoleIn this contract opportunity until June 2028, lead transformational collaboration across the Maribyrnong Catchment, supporting Traditional Owners leadership and self determination and bringing together government agencies, local councils, community groups and industry partners to deliver meaningful environmental, social and community outcomes. The Maribyrnong Catchment is a complex and dynamic ecosystem that encompasses land, waterways, communities, culture and several layers of governance and is under severe pressure, making this a role with genuine purpose and impact.
As the Maribyrnong Catchment Collaboration Lead, you will be at the forefront of building partnerships, influencing strategic outcomes and driving collective action to address some of the region's key integrated catchment challenges. You'll have the opportunity to connect diverse stakeholders, align priorities and turn ambitious ideas into lasting results for the catchment and the communities that depend on it.
- Facilitate and coordinate the collaboration group, its governance, budget and co-delivery of the strategic plan
- Work with partners to advocate for the Maribyrnong catchment
- Build and sustain relationships with, and seek participation of, a diverse range of stakeholders across the catchment
- Assist coordination of catchment-wide projects and enable outcomes
- Work with Subject-Matter Experts to plan and act strategically for an integrated approach to catchment management
- Prepare monitoring, evaluation and communication of key issues, learnings and progress, the results of which may be provided to external groups
- Increase visibility of the Maribyrnong and its catchment
- Work closely with key strategic projects underway in the Maribyrnong catchment including the Maribyrnong Flood Mitigation study
- Lived experience or extensive understanding of First Peoples and their living culture
- Lived experience or understanding of natural resource / waterways management and/or integrated catchment management issues Lived or demonstrated experience in partnership development and working collaboratively with First Nation sovereign partners and a wide range of agency, community and other stakeholders
