Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high standards of knowledge in small animal nutrition and Hill's products

You will provide professional and operational leadership to the Oncology Pharmacy team within the Children's Cancer Centre while maintaining an advanced clinical practice role. About the Role:
This is a part-time, Fixed Term position to cover Secondment Leave for 12 months at 64 hours per fortnight (0.8 EFT). As the national provider for Paediatric Cardiac Transplantation and the national leader in Paediatric VAD services, we are looking for experienced nurses to work within a team providing expert comprehensive clinical consultation to our paediatric and adolescent patients.
As the Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC), you will incorporate the entire spectrum of Heart Failure, including but not limited to workup, development of individual protocols, national activation, national-level transplant coordination and surgical consultation for VAD implant. You will also lead staff and family education, as well as post-transplant management and patient transition to adult services.

The successful candidate will be appointed from ZF4 (Clinical Nurse Consultant A) to ZJ4 (Clinical Nurse Consultant B), $121,695.60 to $128,102.00 per annum, pro rata for part-time, plus superannuation.

About the Role:
This is a part-time, Fixed Term position for 0.6FTE, 45.6 hours a fortnight from 18th January 2027 until 24th January 2028 with the Eating Disorders program at the Department of Adolescent Medicine (covering/replacing long service and maternity leave).
You will be responsible fordriving service transformation in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team including supporting the design, implementation and coordination of research/evaluation projects and providing leadership and coordination of the specialist mental health eating disorders team. You will provide and lead high quality and evidence based outpatient clinical care to adolescents and their families with restrictive eating disorders.

About the Department:
The Department of Adolescent Medicine, Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne, is a multidisciplinary specialty department providing inpatient and outpatient care to adolescents experiencing both physical and mental health concerns. Sub-speciality teams within the Department of Adolescent Medicine include the Eating Disorders Service, specialising in treating adolescents with anorexia nervosa and other restrictive eating disorders, the Gender Service who assist children and adolescents experiencing gender dysphoria, The Transition of Care service providing care in transition from paediatric to adult health providers, the Young People's Health Service who provide primary health care for marginalised and at risk youth and the Chronic Illness Peer support (ChIPS) team who facilitate peer support, leadership and participation among adolescent and young adults aged 12-25 living with a chronic illness. Inpatient Adolescent Medicine includes the care of adolescents requiring admission to the RCH for medical conditions with psychosocial complexity, somatisation disorders and medically unstable patients with restrictive type eating disorders.

RCH mental health operates as part of a broader multidisciplinary team at the Children's Local delivering the mental health services in the Brimbank Melton hub. Our role
This is a full-time position contracted until June 30, 2027. The role operates on a 12 days on, 9 days off a Fly-in and Fly-out (FIFO) roster from Brisbane to Charleville. From Charleville, your roster will include a combination of road and air travel to support communities across Central and South West Queensland. Flying days are undertaken with the RFDS Primary Health Care Team providing face to face and telehealth services to rural and remote communities. RFDS will provide you with accommodation and a vehicle while you are working in Charleville.
In a typical week, our clinicians support communities across Central and South West Queensland through:
- Holistic clinical assessments and recovery-focused, client-centred treatment planning.
- Culturally appropriate clinical interventions for individuals, families and occasionally groups.
- Collaboration with RFDS teams, community stakeholders and local service providers to support continuity of care.
- Health promotion, early intervention and community engagement activities, including support for rural, remote and agricultural communities.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for a confident and compassionate clinician who brings strong therapeutic skills, sound judgement and a genuine interest in rural and remote mental health. You will be comfortable working with autonomy, travelling to communities, partnering with multidisciplinary teams and building trusted relationships with clients, families and local service providers. To be successful in this role, you will also have:
- Qualifications in Psychology, Social Work (MH accreditation with AASW), Occupational Therapy, or Mental Health Nursing (eligible for mental health credentialing)
- Registration with AHPRA or membership with the AASW.
- Minimum 5 years of post graduate clinical experience.
- Highly skilled in empowering others and experienced and confident in delivering mental health education.
- Knowledgeable on issues impacting rural and remote populations.
- A respectful understanding of cultural diversity, including traditional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander views of health and wellness.
